You also said lack of versatility. This is way more suit appropriate than those forces or jordan 1’s people wear with suits. Also just because you got wide feet, dont mean you gotta hate the samba for having a slimmer feet. It aint adidas’ fault you cant wear em at all.

this shoe was literally made for futsol (indoor soccer)
the lack of cushion and cons as a sneaker, are because its made for futsol, and i personally love the feel on the ball.

the samba literally symbolizes the originality of adidas of course they aren’t going to change anything
Sambas usually last me about 6-7 years of daily wear before the soles get a hole in the first outer layer. I could keep wearing them after if I ignored the little pebbles that occasionally get in the sole once a hole appears. The leather upper of the shoes have never had any rips in any of the sambas I have owned over the years. I have been wearing Sambas since around 2010.
Last time I bought Sambas they were about $60 which was a steal considering the durability, $100 is still a fair price for a shoe that lasts over 5 years, even more so if you don't care about the little pebbles that get caught in the inner mid sole, your foot is still not in contact with the outside world once the outer tread sole layer of the shoe wears down in 6 years.
Sambas are way more dressable shoes than AF1s. Some might see Samba as a trend but Samabas has a solid cult following, trend or not. BUT personally, I prefer the Gazelles more than Sambas.
AF1 are definitely more dress able. You’re not pulling off a suit in sambas…

I usually don’t comment on videos, however, this is so misinformed.
1. I own a few collabs and have never paid more than 200 for them, with the exception of the stone island.
2. I have worn white sambas with chinos many times, and as long as the white is clean they easily pass off with a polo and come slim chinos.
3. Lack of innovation? Look at the Jordan 1.
4. Lack of colors? What more do you need? Black and white about covers it.
5. Everybody wearing them? I have one word…. dunk low panda (maybe more than 1) I’ve worn sambas and gazelles for 35 years… tik tok can make something a fad, but like every other fad… it’ll go away.
6. Durability…. I have a pair of sambas that are 16 years old. I don’t ride a motorcycle in them
7. Comfort… Samba ADV. the most comfortable.

It seems like AF1s would get the same advice, being that so many people wear them. The Samba should be durable because it's an indoor soccer shoe. What about some Stan Smiths? Reebok used to have a Samba style shoe. Personally, I fell in love with the Adidas Forum Low. Cool Video. Thanks for the advice.
Lol every take in this video is just so off base. It’s a basic casual shoe. Nobody is acting like it’s the hottest thing out. It’s a a classic silhouette that goes in and out of popularity like any other classic shoe.

@@jfme8785I wore them (sambas) in the 70s, they’ve been around for decades and were way cool in 1979 along with Adidas Stan Smith’s, Converse All-Stars (yp call Em Chuck Taylor’s) and even Vans. Jordan’s came in the 1990s for obvious reasons…Just shows that they are all of timeless design and that’s why they become popular over and over again.
I bought the black pair back in 2016 when nobody knew about them sad it became a trend even though i love this pair of shoes

First reason is the reason I didn't get new sambas as my old one sole lost grip because so many young people wear them. Just like the air force 1s or Jordans. I'm going with Onitsuka tiger.

I'm from the time Adidas Universal were the top indoor soccer sneakers back in the 90s...Adidas Samba were for those who couldn't afford to buy adidas universal. even they are very similar, if not the same.

The Sambas has been there for like decades... Just let people wear what they want to wear. It wouldn't last that long in the market and still sells up to now if its not worth it.
It stood the test of time, and it has become a classic. It still relevant even up to this generation.

I fell for the trap and ordered when I saw the all leather, molded version "aluminum grey" hopefully it arrives soon and looks as good as the pics. I tend to change the insoles of my shoes so if this ends up not as soft, insoles would fix that
