Towards the end of the song, Lindsey walked over to Stevie's mic, as usual, but she stood there frozen, back to the audience, with her hands covering her face. It seemed like the pregnant pause was going on forever until Lindsey hugged her with one arm and sang the lines and kissed her on the cheek. But she just stood there looking down, unable to move. It wasn't until the lights came up for the next song, "Tusk," that I realized it was not acting. As she was walking off stage to change outfits, I could see that she looked utterly devastated - uncontrollable tears. I'm still haunted by the devastated look on her face in that moment.

My cousin and her ex spit many years ago, and yet after he got remarried and fell ill, he was calling out my cousins name as he was dying. They had made amends which was good, but in his last days he only said her name.

This love is so rare and beautiful. Up on stage singing to each other, it's like nobody else is in the room, they are in their own world. You can feel their love, it brought me to tears. There's something about Stevie and Lindsey's love for each other that is unexplainable, I watch them on stage and listen to the lyrics of their songs, and it moves me so much, I sadly have never seen them live although It's my dream to. But whenever i hear them and see them obviously so deeply in love but not being able to be together breaks me apart and sends me to tears, I didn't grow up in their era and I'm envious of my parents for that sole purpose, I would've loved to have seen them when they where all so young and the rock n' roll was the to die for. I will never truly know/understand what it is about them but they bring me into a different universe when I listen to FM and see live performances of them on stage together, I hope that one day they get back together, whether it's in this life or another, they deserve each other even if it is away from FM,

Noticing the date this was recorded (late Nov '97), & recalling that Lindsey had his 1st child in early July '98, makes me wonder if Stevie hadn't maybe found this news out shortly b4. Like, say, after all the "what-if" years, something as monumental as him having a child finally put the nail in the proverbial coffin..thus, this elevated level of already-intense-emotion being the result. I don't care what they are, what they aren't. All I know is they make millions of us happy and sad at the same time, watching them onstage. And that, is what it's all about. The quality of the lyrics to this song are incredible - rich, timeless, penetrating and powerful. Stevie's voice and the rest of the band accompanying her send chills down my spine. If anyone wants to know what true love is really about - just watch the interplay on stage between Stevie and Lindsey are like. Fact is, it never made it to the actual album release. It was the B side of the single Go Your Own Way. Ironically, this is Stevie's response to Lindsay's GYOW. It was not until 20 years later, on the MTV Special and Stevie's emotional charged singing of it, the last half of it with Stevie & Lindsay in a locked eyes stare down (with Christine behind them watching intently) that he song finally found its place in Fleetwood Mac lore & music lexicon as it charted. It finally did appear on the box set.

I love watching videos of them singing this song live. You can truly feel her pain. I saw the performance Last night at The Classic West. Sadily, they did not perform this song and I noticed that both were trying not to show their love on stage, only one hug between them. I can only assume that it was to spare his family. I saw them in 2015 and all I could think of was how hard it must be for his wife to watch them perform. It was so obvious that Stevie's love will always be in his soul and his in hers.

I think this was around the time when Lindsey found out that his girlfriend was pregnant. Everyone knows that Stevie and Lindsey's relationship was rekindled during The Dance tour. I think it's because Lindsey fell in love with Stevie again when he saw that she was very much the girl she was when they were together before the drugs, seeing as how this tour was the first time they toured together since Stevie became totally sober and wasn't on any kind of drugs. It isn't hard to assume they had a fling during this time. Just look at videos of the band onstage and during interviews in 1997, he can barely keep his hands off her. But then Lindsey's girlfriend became unexpectedly pregnant during this time and that put an abrupt end to their relationship once and for all. You can really hear the utter devastation in BOTH of their voices. Goodness.

There are just as many if not more interviews with her speaking highly of him , their love, their breakup and his wife and kids. They have both said, since he married, that when they are on stage together, all that love comes back and for a little while it's just the two of them in the world, but as soon as the lights go down, they turn back into the people they are off stage. Also, I am sure, that no matter how much they love each other, in whatever way it is, that neither of them want to hurt his wife or kids. A LOT of times people will say negative things about someone else, because they do love them and can't be with them, and it's hurtful so they spout off at the mouth. They have also said that they know what the fans want to see, so they give it to them. I can tell some of it's just a semi act, and then some of it's so real it breaks them into pieces, just like this particular version of Silver Springs did. Sometimes, you just can't hold it in any longer.
I have always loved Fleetwood Mac Looking at some of their pretty dramatic emotional songs, especially way back in the day, Lindsey would look like a crazy man at times, but it makes perfect sense now knowing that his and Stevie's relationship was so Up and Down on a daily basis (according to their biography) and they would literally fight on stage even though the audience believed it was part of their high energy performance but if you look at some of the older ones, you could see that they had some pretty volatile acts that couldn't be hidden away. I mean how do you hide something like that? . In this song, her words were" I begin Not To Love You" so whether the pain was written down in their music or it would peak out on stage They sure had some great performances! You could also see the intense love they had for one another especially in this performance. I would have loved to have been at this concert, Im sure it was a great one but this video was good enough for me. Brought back some great memories and even years later you could see the love between them still existed.
When this did this song on "the Dance live before going back on tour...it ended with Stevie saying "Love you Lyndsay" and Lyndsay saying "love you Stevie"...it was great!

It's like one of those first romances that never quite burned out.
There's something about Stevie and Lindsey's love for each other that is unexplainable, I watch them on stage and listen to the lyrics of their songs, and it moves me so much, I sadly have never seen them live although It's my dream to. But whenever i hear them and see them obviously so deeply in love but not being able to be together breaks me apart and sends me to tears, I didn't grow up in their era and I'm envious of my parents for that sole purpose, I would've loved to have seen them when they where all so young and the rock n' roll was the to die for. I will never truly know/understand what it is about them but they bring me into a different universe when I listen to FM and see live performances of them on stage together, I hope that one day they get back together, whether it's in this life or another, they deserve each other even if it is away from FM,

I wish you could have seen them live once in your life. I’ve seen them and Stevie 22 times since I was 14 in 1976, I’m 62 now. I named my daughter RHIANNON due to my hearing that song at the age of 14. She so fits her name to a tee!! Stevie & Lindsey are soulmates plain & simple until the day they die. ❤
Noticing the date this was recorded (late Nov '97), & recalling that Lindsey had his 1st child in early July '98, makes me wonder if Stevie hadn't maybe found this news out shortly b4. Like, say, after all the "what-if" years, something as monumental as him having a child finally put the nail in the proverbial coffin..thus, this elevated level of already-intense-emotion being the result. I mean, I KNOW they'd been apart for a lifetime, but it's so clear that their love was still very much alive.

I think Joe Walsh still pulls the strings of Stevie's heart. You really think Kristen Messner would sit back happily and watch a world tour if they still had deep feelings. that Stevie not only had the most popular songs in the group, but she had the most successful solo career, but as classy as she is she always put the band as her 1st priority and never forced any of her solo material on the band..she kept them seperate.

If anyone wants to know what true love is really about - just watch the interplay on stage between Stevie and Lindsey are like. Fact is, it never made it to the actual album release. It was the B side of the single Go Your Own Way. Ironically, this is Stevie's response to Lindsay's GYOW. It was not until 20 years later, on the MTV Special and Stevie's emotional charged singing of it, the last half of it with Stevie & Lindsay in a locked eyes stare down (with Christine behind them watching intently) that he song finally found its place in Fleetwood Mac lore & music lexicon as it charted. It finally did appear on the box set.

I love watching videos of them singing this song live. You can truly feel her pain. I saw the performance Last night at The Classic West. Sadily, they did not perform this song and I noticed that both were trying not to show their love on stage, only one hug between them. I can only assume that it was to spare his family. I saw them in 2015 and all I could think of was how hard it must be for his wife to watch them perform. It was so obvious that Stevie's love will always be in his soul and his in hers.

I think this was around the time when Lindsey found out that his girlfriend was pregnant. Everyone knows that Stevie and Lindsey's relationship was rekindled during The Dance tour. I think it's because Lindsey fell in love with Stevie again when he saw that she was very much the girl she was when they were together before the drugs, seeing as how this tour was the first time they toured together since Stevie became totally sober and wasn't on any kind of drugs. It isn't hard to assume they had a fling during this time. Just look at videos of the band onstage and during interviews in 1997, he can barely keep his hands off her. But then Lindsey's girlfriend became unexpectedly pregnant during this time and that put an abrupt end to their relationship once and for all. You can really hear the utter devastation in BOTH of their voices. Goodness.

I believe that. If you truly love someone, you always do....for me, anyway. There are 2 exes that I still love to this day.
There are just as many if not more interviews with her speaking highly of him , their love, their breakup and his wife and kids. They have both said, since he married, that when they are on stage together, all that love comes back and for a little while it's just the two of them in the world, but as soon as the lights go down, they turn back into the people they are off stage. Also, I am sure, that no matter how much they love each other, in whatever way it is, that neither of them want to hurt his wife or kids. A LOT of times people will say negative things about someone else, because they do love them and can't be with them, and it's hurtful so they spout off at the mouth. They have also said that they know what the fans want to see, so they give it to them. I can tell some of it's just a semi act, and then some of it's so real it breaks them into pieces, just like this particular version of Silver Springs did. Sometimes, you just can't hold it in any longer.
I have always loved Fleetwood Mac Looking at some of their pretty dramatic emotional songs, especially way back in the day, Lindsey would look like a crazy man at times, but it makes perfect sense now knowing that his and Stevie's relationship was so Up and Down on a daily basis (according to their biography) and they would literally fight on stage even though the audience believed it was part of their high energy performance but if you look at some of the older ones, you could see that they had some pretty volatile acts that couldn't be hidden away. I mean how do you hide something like that? . In this song, her words were" I begin Not To Love You" so whether the pain was written down in their music or it would peak out on stage They sure had some great performances! You could also see the intense love they had for one another especially in this performance. I would have loved to have been at this concert, Im sure it was a great one but this video was good enough for me. Brought back some great memories and even years later you could see the love between them still existed.
