I can say these tutorials have changed my life
why spend thousands of dollars going to an art school when you have youtube??
I'm in love with phlearn. Crazy stuff... Sometimes I have to admit I do go a tad bit over board with my using of techniques shown here but I simply love phlearn. U guys r such a huge support for the freshly starting and aspirational photographers. I find it quite annoying when trolls stop by to say crap on the stuff u guys teach cos they do nothing but spew some serious nonsense.
Great stuff guys.
great tutorial, love how Aaron packs multiple mini "how-to" photoshop tricks into main theme
one of the best photoshopers. tutorials are simple and easy to follow. nice work, keep going!!
Where is the link to the other tutorial in the video?
One of the best colour grading technique I have ever seen. I've seen tens of it. Even in 2021 it is still actual and effective. Thank you for the tutorial for all times!!!
Hi I used to follow your work in Flickr when I was active. Amazing retouching work you got there :)
Awesome job Aaron, I really like your videos.
It's been a while since a Photoshop tutorial on CZcams challenged me. This is awesome!
This is my favorite channel right now.. thanks for all your awesome videos!
great tutorial! I love the fact that you went in detail thru each step.
Great tutorial. Loads of tricks and shortcuts. I subscribed, hope for more videos like this. Keep it up!
These tutorials never get old. Always Phlearning! I wondered... would be necessary to use the color cast corrections before the color balancing if the image isn't as "perfect" as your example in the tutorial?
Great Vid, I just wished you would of added one last step which is...now that you've created this look/grade, how to save this as a LUT so it can be applied to additional images without having to go through all these steps on multiple images.
Can you do a tutorial on fixing harsh highlights in a portrait from midday sun? I use shadows/highlights but don't know if there is a better technique. Thanks!
I've followed many of your tutorials now. I just wanted to say that it's a pleasure to start your videos for the quality of the tutorials. but what i want to say realy and it's important, is that i really like your approach of learning, maybe made by your quality as a human being, sense of life results in that always happy teaching, dynamic and funny, generous and not boring. It's like meeting a friend and it's really a pleasure so to follow your tutorials :) Thanks a lot for that happiness :)
that quick break u mentioned is so true. i do that all the time with my photos.
very good tip on taking breaks, "fresh eyes" can make you see everything anew, also music producers do this by leaving a track or listening to it in their car for a new perspective
Same with artwork and writing
Good video! phlearn you make this sound so easy. Might have to watch several times.
Your tutorials are amazing!
Where's the link to the video tutorial? Great work as always Aaron/Phlearn team. I think you explain things at the perfect pace. I guess it depends on how familiar you are with photoshop tools though.
THANK YOU FOR THE AWESOME TUTORIALS!!!
no Bad comments here only a question..Can you possibly show something along the lines of Focus Stacking ..I'd really appreciate it Thank you ..please
Great personality and knowledge! I love watching your videos
Great tutorial- as always! Especially liked the color cast removal technique ! I'm a little ify on the blend if layer style- I need to phlearn more about that!
I always learn something new with you, thanks!
It's a really great tutorial, and I'm very thankful for this. But I think if you are new or just trying this kind of technique, you'll find it hard to get if you'll be using a completely different image. I'm completely a noob, but I think he easily selected the skin tone areas here because the highlights are in skin parts. Try using this same method on light background. I'm not so sure about this though, any thoughts? or corrections for me? :) :)
Thanks! I've been looking at this technique, you made it so easy! You're awesome!
This is the coolest tutorial...thank you!
Thanks, this was very helpful.
DX
Brilliant tutorial !
Very good tutorial as usual. Thank you
Hi Aaron or who read this from Phlearn.

Few weeks ago I watched lesson about hue-sat. When I try to find them again it does not work.
Lesson consist in toning the picture in that hue wich on the skin of the human.

really powerfull thanks Aron
I had forgot how awesome this guy is...
your tutorials are great.. Can you do a tutorial if you have the know how which i'm sure you do on how to simulate medium format look/tones as if the image was shot with a medium format? The colors are washed out a bit and whites are creamy and has more of a vintage appearance - you know!
one of the best subscription i have!
Thanks man!
I made my profile pic following this tutorial
Thanks nice tutorial. Liked and subscribed.
Awesome! Thanks :)
I would increase contrast to make shadows more darker and less cyan. And in the inspiration image use yellow instead of red in highlight tones.
I really like your videos. Thank
Chief -- I'VE SEEN MANY TUTORIALS that discuss color-grading for motion pictures. Is there any compelling use for color-grading in still photography? Many Thanks!
cool guy has a chill day
excellent explained
Brilliant, thank you.
Badass.
Love it.
This is great. As are all your videos.
Awesome . I learnt lot from this video :) .
Awesome !!
tq soo much for tutorial
Thanks i have learnt some techniques
You are so awesome!
Photoshop...Magic...there seems to be no difference. Thanks, Aaron, great tutorial.
Gosh,,, this is just what i needed for such a longest time~!.
I'd come up w/ my own way of doing this,,,(which is quite similar to urs).. yet been not quite sure if mine was an efficeint one or not.
Now,, this podcast shows what the professionals do, & 'how & why's...which ensures me what to eliminate & to keep for the best effects.
Amazing!!! thanks!!!
the first part is the same like working with luminosity Masks, the secound part is very interesting, very gooood bro!!
Awesome tut, Nacer.
Juan was using Blackmagic Design's DaVinci Resolve, in case you were wondering.
Beautiful
what's the difference of color curves and color balance when doing color grading on an image? can anyone help?
whats the device he uses to edit? Anyone know?
at 12:00 how did you do that? when i move it , it's moving all of it not half like yours:/ (sorry for my English) :d
Wow, thanks for this Phlearn! Careful though, I'm pretty sure Aaron must be one of those new iDroids, one of the early models without legs. I still love his vids though :)
Awesome tactics
Aaron the best :)
