    5:04 I'm pretty sure that "WoG" is talking about the World of Gothic website/forum. Also, it says "german" rather than "serman" (it has the same lower-case "g" as the one in "message" above, although it is odd that they didn't use a capital letter for "German").

    • @gogollama
      @gogollama Před 3 lety

      Perhaps written by one of the German speaking developers? It is a pretty common mistake for a non native English speaker. E.g. in German there are no upper case adjectives except at the beginning of a sentence.

    hey dude i just wanted to tell you that you have fans worldwide and still spreading the Gothic love, for example myself, I'm from Uruguay and i still love the games, Gothic was the first game I've ever played and i did so when i was around two years old my father showed it to me and i was blown away by the fact that the world seemed so alive, just the way the npc's reacted to me going into their homes was enough to make me fall in love with the franchise. I'm just saying this because I've never imagined all the secrets the game held and because my country is small i never heard about a Gothic community. It's a bit of a shame that i recently found all of the amazing people that form this community even if its really small. And last but certainly not least i really love your content and i wish you the best.

    A LOT of Romanians are into Gothic. Probably a very popular-at-that-time video game magazine called "Level" (now defunct) has something to do with it. They included the Gothic games as a bonus in some of their issues and built up a good lobby for them. They were really professional games reviewers, old-school type (not many of their kind, these days).

    There is this side quest where you have Lehmars book or so. If you read
    it and talk to Coragon he gives you special beer which gives you some
    bonuses.
    Talk to the water pipe guy in each chapter once, for some gold he gives you a "vision" --> experience
    Cheating:
    when fighting beasts, try pushing them against a wall and hit them left
    and right. This way they can't back up and can't hit you. Won't work so
    well for humanoids.
    Edit: at 3:00 your face will have this expression when you die taking fall damage. When you resurrect yourself with F8 you'll keep this expression

    At the very start of the game you can parkour to get behind Xardas tower for a small cave with some items.
    There's an item called "molerat fat" or something like that can be used to grease the wrench of a gate locked cave of a man involved in a bootlegging operation (probably an unfinished quest).
    Love these videos btw!

    • @augustinadriancristea5873
      @augustinadriancristea5873 Před 5 lety

      Exactly, the cave is Vino's (the farmer asking for wine at Lobart's farm, start of the game) and he is producing moonshine there. I always loved this kind of small insertions without a logic or reference to the story. Maybe this was a quest for the Militia, and you could have arrested Vino the (s)wine! Anyway, there are at least 100 areas and characters in G1&G2 NotR that don't have a context or are left unfinished/ambiguous (e.g. caves without enemies, places left deserted, Orcs in silly places - at Bengar's farm late game, chapter 5 etc.). Have fun and praise Innos! ;)

    I remember when i was a kid and i was playing gothic 1 first time. I meet Mud and i was really happy that i got friend. When hes started to annoying me more and more, i still was feeling like hes maybe not that smart, but he was like only one frendly guy in this raw and brutal place, where eweryone wanted you to do him a favor, robry or kill you.
    I was running around with Mud pretty long time, until i get annoyed too much and realized, that this character will offer me nothing, and have no impact on a game, but still i feeled remorse when i beat him up. I remember when he asked me why i am beating him, he did nothing to me and when i think about it he realy was like nearly only one guy in old camp who did nothing to you or didnt wanted anything from u.

    so i just stumbled accross your channel today and watched your videos about all the small things you can do and find in the game. Pretty cool collection you have there for starters especially the cave with the dragon snapper scroll. Didnt think theres something i havent found about the game yet but thats the one. Now you didnt include how to make more or less infinite amount of cash with reasonable time invested. If you become the apprentice of Harad as a smith you can sell him your swords obviously. If you got to the mercs to Bennet you can smith an infinite amount of them because whenever Bennet starts smithing he refreshes his inventory and you can buy the raw materials of him constantly. Its pretty common i would think but since its not included and you included some more or less common ones in your videso i thought i just gonna put it down here in case youll make more of those in the future.

    1:40 LOL that happens to me all the times.
    Also never knew about the third note on that tree (the first two being the alien dwarf message and the car one).
    Another funny thing about Gothic 2 are the waypoints "TOT" or "The caves of the deads" as I like to call them: it's basically where every npc that changes map ends up to, you find them dead on the floor and can even loot them or resurrect them with the marvin mode, the one in Khorinis is in a cave down the circle of sun near the stairway, irc it should have one or two chests and some low tier enemies (can't remember if they were low tier skeletons or something else), you can access by teleporting through a wall with a torch mounted on it (or just write waypoint TOT after the goto command in the console, this works with the other ones as well), the one in the VoM is behind the orc's barricade all on the left side of the mountain (they used a cave from Gothic one that was filled with molerats I think, on the way to the swamp camp), and the last one in Jharkendar just floats in the void under the map of the canyon (under the small cave with all the plants a little down the entrance of the area).
    I'm pretty sure you already knew about them, but since you did not mention them (I guess cause beside one you have to use cheats to access them) I thought it would have been nice to write it in case someone didn't knew.
    Gothic is love, Gothic is life.
    Cheers from Italy.

    ...Sure I may have killed him a few times because my head was about to blow off but then I learned to live with his totally not annoying habits and I felt bad for him since he tells you his story and yeah it's pretty sad. Sure he just repeats himself over and over but Mud could've been like an actual follower! Mud even made me think about what Gothic 1 and 2 would be like if you just had companions that always follow you around and that you could just command, etc.

Basicly you just get a lot of gold and go pray at shrine of inos at lobart farms. I got 60 dexterity and kinda same str. I dont know perhaps this is a bugg but for me it worked for 3 times. I call this the easy mode to start the game coz you can get master with 1 hands and kill basicly everything

Please answere me with feedback! i've discovered this last day when i finish gothic 2. i've just talked with the crew on the ship after i went of from Khorinis. and in a dialog with milten i've got a pretty interesting question..."Have you bringed the EYE OF INNOS WITH YOU?" nameless says yes as expected. i did not think about it instantly but then after i beat the undead dragon something was wispering in my ear: "what if i did not bring the eye of innos with me before sailing away?" i started gothic2 again and leaved the eye of innos on Khorinis and sailed away. im not gonna spoiler anything JUST SPEAK WITH MILTEN AND THEN LOOK IN UR INVENTORY FOR A "STRANGE LETHER BAG" YOU WILL BE AMAZED I SWERE XDDDD
