It's recently developed a chatter while accelerating in overdrive between 40-50 mph. No othere drivablity issues. I've read that the torque convertor clutches may be bad. Also seen a video where a shift kit resolved the issue. Any guidance for repairing this issue would be appreciated. Thanks!

20:03 They may not look bad at that moment or as you say "rarely go bad", same thing with the bands 20:45, but since you have it all torn apart might as well replace them regardless, imagine going through all that work of that rebuild and reuse those parts only to have them fail 6 months later and then have to tear it all back down again, that would be a sad day! This is one type of job that I would highly advise a customer not to be cheap about, nor would it be ethical for a reputable shop to do poor workmanship like that, unless they have little pride in their work and/or only giving a very short or no warranty at all.

Ended up replacing whole transmission with a 2001 4r70w and now it’s throwing code (P0750 Solenoid A), Did some research and found out the 98 and newer years are more electronic and the harness pins are located in different spots. Would repining solve this issue, or is it better to change the entire internal Harness of the tranny! Is there anything else needed such as speed sensors, pcm, etc?
