Our 4 year old son absolutely loves this episode! We didn’t realize he enjoyed watching until he specifically asked if he could watch “the man with the hat make pancakes” ❤️
Amber be sure and tell him thanks for me
How adorable!
pancake & texas steak can make my day 🤠
Er muß selber in der Küche etwas machen, Bananenmilch, Kaiserschmarrn, Karamelbonbons.... Alt genug ist er !!!
I love to watch Kent . As I am watching this. I want pan cakes .
I am a 44 year old man and you had me glued to the screen like a kid. I could “smell” the flavors! Congratulations on your success with your channel. I wish you many many many more years of success. Saludos desde Laredo Texas.
I love those dogs out in the background in the beginning of the video just being dogs
At nearly 60 years and this was my first try at pancakes from scratch. Pleasantly pleased with the outcome and taste. I'll NEVER buy my another box mix again.
Just made these this morning, added blueberries , cooked up some bacon and used real maple syrup . wife said they were the best she ever had. Life is too short to eat boxed pancake mix. Great recipe
my scout troop added fresh blueberries to our pancakes, and good lord did they make even those bisquick pancakes a billion times better lol
Eat real butter too
I feel the same about box mix. I had them with insane amount of butter and strawberry jam. Ohhh, soo good!

@@wasclit11 It's almost my bed time and I don't have much more time to babble randomly! Would you please offer a bit more info about the Mickey Mouse Pancakes? Bananas, maple syrup, butter, sounds really tasty! BTW, I'm 48-1/2+ years into marital bliss, so I'm right there with you, [almost].
Greetings from Argentina, I'm not a big fan of pancakes but I just made these for my wife and kid, thank you Mr. Rollins, god bless you!
You remind me of our grandpa Weller, always making sure it’s done right.
Kent, we mixed up a batch tonight for dinner, it was quick and easy. Have to report they are fluffy and hit the spot. We won't be buying the boxed variety ever again. Thanks Kent and Shannon
So glad yall enjoyed
YES, ALWAYS BEST FROM SCRATCH !
Do they taste eggy?
@@CowboyKentRollins hello to you both from the UK me and my wife really enjoy your recipes and we have a suggestion try using a silicone spacheler to flip your pancakes 🥞 so in future you won't scratch your skillet so thanks again for all of your recipes and we look forward to your next one 😀

Been searching for that perfect pancake recipe for way too many years. This is it. Damn, Kent. You nailed it. My wife and I think we can do with a little less sugar though, so on my next batch I'll reduce the sugar and honey volume by 50%. This recipe yielded 12 - 4'-5" pancakes. I made three at a time in my large pan. Easy, delicious, and practically free. Thank you, Kent.
so glad yall enjoyed
Love this man's videos . Such a nice warm old fashioned welcoming
Glad you enjoy it!
Kent is the uncle we all love to visit and who is never short on energy
I bet he can cut a rug, too.
My goal is to be that uncle. Right now I’m the uncle who makes the pillow forts, plays hide and go seek, and tries to have the fun house. Haha
Nothing like fresh and hot pancakes. Plus that Texas prairie would just add to the experience.
I must admit that I doubted this recipe, but upon finding myself with no buttermilk this morning, I recalled y’all’s pancake video and gave it a try. These are *incredible* pancakes. The pancakes are just a little sweet, the vanilla comes through very pleasantly and they really are super fluffy! Thank you for the recipe and for saving my breakfast.
Something so nostalgic about how this video is. ❤️
Hi from Down-Under Kent. I love your videos and your “keep it simple, keep it wholesome, keep it tasty” philosophy. I’m also really grateful that you take time out to thank military veterans as I was previously in the Australian Army (for 24yrs) before medical discharge. I proudly served alongside US troops in Iraq and feel that our nations share a bond of strength, comradeship and fighting for peace that all might feel secure and blessed. Blessings to you and keep up the good work!
No kidding. Working with ANZAC’s was always first cabin!
Sitting outside on a Sunny afternoon and I look over to see my six-year-old daughter with a note pad, a pencil, and my phone. She was watching this video, writing down the ingredients for her and I to go get after I pick her up from school the next day. Thank you Mr Kent and Shannon
I’ve just got to tell ya…I haven’t watched a Cowboy Kent Rollins for a few months and I have missed your voice, mannerisms, hearing Shannon, The Begue, and all of the other Doggos…and the food 😍 the amazing recipes. I am so glad to be hearing and seeing y’all! Sweet Blessing to y’all!
Glad your back with us
I could eat Kent’s pancakes and listen to this music soundtrack all day.
Kent, you are a national treasure. Keep on bringing the goodness. God bless.
Thanks so much and God bless you
Adding honey is something I didn't think of. Thank you, Kent
I've been making my own pancakes for years now using a recipe I found that used Vinegar in the Milk set aside for 10 minutes. Boy oh boy they made some good pancakes that were thick and fluffy. Just delicious. Throw some sausage in the batter, and you've just hit a home run!
But.....with all that said....I'm going to give this recipe a try, because.....well.........the Honey intrigues me.
Who wouldn't like Honey in their pancakes?
Thanks for sharing.
Sounds good, we hope you enjoy

My cowboy/surfer 8 yr old and I have been watching Ken for years- we love all of your videos and candor. From one Papa to another- I thank you for years of delicious laughter and grub.
In the 1800's there were no cowboy surfers! Your kid has to choose one, or he is just a modern boy that likes multiple things.
Going to give those a go this weekend. I'm always looking for the ultimate pancake recipe. And it never hurts that the grand-baby loves them to.

Kent and Shannon, I just wanted to take a moment and share my appreciation with you both. I have recently subscribed to your wonderful channel and I can’t tell you enough how much of a blessing it is. I can’t get enough of you guys! The kindness, realness and honest humor and fun you both bring into your videos is what makes my week. I, a few days ago, just got over the hump of covid and while I was down and out, it was your channel and your channel alone that kept my spirits high and a smile on my face! My wife and I have both been binge watching as much as we can and it’s such a joy. Not to mention your recipes are absolutely fantastic! I am the chef in our family and I love cooking. I recently started dabbling in cast iron skillets and love it thoroughly. I’ve yet to get my hands on a Dutch oven but all in good time. Anyway I just wanted to thank you for providing a wholesome and fun channel to watch and learn from. You both are awesome and hope one day I’ll get to meet you both. God bless! :)
When I'm feeling down in the dumps Mr. Rollins never fails to pull me up by my straps. I appreciate every video you make sir, they are the best. My gf loves it too since I started cooking after watching your videos hahaha
I have enjoyed watching the plus is your trusty assistant she adds a wonderful laugh.
Holy Kettle! That was some good pancakes. I have never liked "thick pancakes" previously since they have always been too "bred'y" but these tastes just like they look. Fluffy and soft.
10/10 in flavour and texture.
Thank you from Sweden. 🇸🇪
Glad you enjoyed

Mr. Rollins... If it's a 3 minute video or a ln hour and thirty minutes, I never miss them! I have learned so many new ways to use my cast iron and dutch ovens from you!
Thanks Lola for watching
We love little quick videos but we also love longer. We love all of them really 💜💕! My daughters and I use aluminum free baking powder too. Thanks for showing people how to measure four!
Kent this recipe is elite. The family has repeatedly inhaled them at a rate I consider to be unnatural.
Tried a little twist today. Crumbled up a few strips of crispy bacon in the batter and made bacon pancakes. It was an elite breakfast experience.
Thank you for your wisdom. God bless.
GOD BLESS you sir and GOD BLESS those who continue to keep us free.🇺🇸🌎🇺🇸
I've never made pancakes from scratch, but this looks easy enough that even I couldn't mess them up.
I wasn't looking for this, but I'm glad I found this. We need more people like you in this country.
My wife and enjoy your videos immensely Mr. Rawlins. Keep up the great work and your great dancing. The content is so entertaining.
We used to be a Clabber Girl family but one day my store was out so I bought the Aluminum free brand and tasted the difference. Been using the Aluminum Free brand for about 4 years now and have no regrets. 😊 Absolutely love your channel! So excited to try this pancake recipe this morning. ❤
I agree 100%
I switched to Aluminum free baking powder when I was hunting down a good biscuit recipe to have with Honey.
Every recipe I found just tasted a little off.
Then I don't remember if I found a recipe that specifically said Aluminum free baking powder or if it was in the reviews or what, but a lightbulb went off right when I read that. And I thought to myself: "That's it! That's what's wrong. It just has a slight metallic taste."
I went and bought aluminum free and that was a game changer!
Love these videos! I am 20 yrs old learning to cook for my boyfriend. Mr. Kent & Mrs. Shannon, y'all are doing a great job!
Best pancakes I’ve ever made! They puffed up like marshmallows over a bon fire! So fluffy, delicious and easy!! Thank you!!!
I’ve been looking for a recipe that tastes like diner pancakes for years and this was exactly what I was looking for. These are the best pancakes I’ve ever had.
HONESTLY by far the best pancake recipe I've ever made/tried. Everytime I have tried to recreate a "fluffy" pancake it always turns out stiff and not fluffy. I just made it 10 mins ago and it was AMAZING! thank you for sharing :,))
My Grandfather used to call them “flap jacks”! We always had some cane syrup on hand, wonderful. That’s comfort food!
Doesn't matter if it's 3 minutes or 3 hours, I'm going to watch it! Good cookin', good laughs, good message in each one! Appreciate you both!
Kent, you are an absolute BLESSING on the internet! Pancakes are my favorite breakfast dish and am itching to try your recipe myself! God bless you and your family! 🥞🥞🥞
When you see a Gentleman with a stout mustache and a flawless sombrero outdoors making pancakes, you BEST BELIEVE IT'S GONNA GO DOWN! 🔥🍽️🔥
I just love y'all, your pups and your videos! Y'all are such a breath of fresh air and something my 4year old daughter and I look forward to watching! Thank you for just being you... You don't know how much joy you've brought to my life in a rough season! God bless❤❤
We use the same brand of baking powder and we share a liking for the ingredient whole milk, sugar and eggs, but baking soda, vanilla and honey are quite the change up when compared to my recipe-can’t wait to try this deliciousness.
Kent I work in Iraq. I have saved many videos of yours and when I get back to Northern Ireland I will be very busy trying your recipes. Your videos inspire me to try and cook with confidence. God bless you
God bless you and be safe
I use beer in my pancake recipe, gives the sourdough flavor and the achole cooks out . I don't drink milk , never have milk around but almost always have beer,😊😊
I have a small cast iron griddle that came with a skillet cookie kit. It holds exactly one quarter cup of batter. It makes consistent sized pancakes all day!
lol i got one of those as a gift for Christmas, things pretty cool if you ask me
My small skillet costs a lot of time, took me about 45 minutes to bake one batch of 8 pancakes including the prep and cleaning. Baking 3 at a time is much faster.
Cowboy Kent, you are an "Alright kinda guy." I am a Boy Scout leader that really enjoys teaching our scouts about cooking in the great outdoors....specifically Dutch oven, and cast iron cooking. Thanks for all that you have educated us on! Looking forward to many more!

😋 Yummy. Thank You 🙏
My wife just made these for me and we loved them! She added blueberries and we didn't have any milk, so she added vanilla yogurt and these were the best pancakes ever! Thank you cowboy Kent for another amazing recipe!.
Hey there Kent, as I saw this video come up on my feed I am probably only a few hours from making some pancakes here in my homestead. My wife and I like all kinds of pancakes but my favorite lately is one I came up with based upon my tortilla recipe. If you feel like trying it out, I'll share with you:
- 1/3 cup of Masa Harina
- 2/3 cup white flour
- 1.5 tsp Baking Powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup corn oil
- 1/5 cups of milk
- 2 large eggs, beaten
You know whaat to do with the ingredients but this recipe makes some delicious corn flavored pancakes that are amazing with syrup or honey on them. The mixture of the savory and sweet just works out. Also, if you leave out the milk and eggs and add in 5 oz. of water, you can make some delicious tortillas. They hold together better than full corn tortillas and they are much more flavorful than all white floured one.
I’ve always made pancakes with Bisquick. I’m going to HAVE to try this recipe! Thanks Kent! I love your videos!! ❤️😋
The dry ingredients are literally bisquick. When I used a lot of it, I would make it in bulk. Kids moved out so we just go have people make pancakes for us instead now lol
that was my go-to, because it was sifted so well. i knew the baking powder trick. I use th e vanilla and cinnamon, but never honey.
With Bisquick the pancake comes out like biscuit not fluffy & soft.
@@increible3894 mom taught me the baking powder and confectioner sugar trick. I've used wheat flour, Bisquick, and King Arthur. I get good results out of each. Then again, i'm not "picky", I'm "hungry"
Love you from Brazil. God bless y'all
Thanks and God bless you
My mom use to separate the yellow and white part of the egg…whip the egg white to a cream and them add it to the mixture, and it made the pancakes so light and fluffy…. They were awesome… yours looked awesome also.
looks like another awesome tip from Cowboy Kent, Ive never trieed em with honey, but Im sure gonna...another good tip that the Cowboy didnt mention is to let your batter sit for like half an hour before cookin em...makes a big difference
As an amputee it was a bad thing for me when International House of Pancakes went out of business.
The best pancakes I ever ate were from this little diner in Rifle, Colorado. It was the early 1980's and we were looking for a house for a job that never actually worked out, but I was super hungry that morning and I ordered a 3 stack of pancakes.
Now this diner catered to mostly farmers, and this was not the kid's menu (I was 11 or 12, and quite small for my age) so I was a bit shocked when I got my food, these pancakes were huge. But they were really good, and I was really hungry and I ended up cleaning my plate.
This really impressed the waitress who asked me if I put them in my wooden leg.
Now I don't think she actually knew I was an amputee so she was just a bit shocked when I took it off, looked inside and said, "Nope."
What did she expect if she asked such a question of a kid who actually has a wooden leg. Even if it's not actually wooden. "Wooden" being just another word for "fake".
Hopefully I don't offend you, (or any body else),,,,,but,,,,,

My regular UPS driver and I are always bantering back and forth with nonsense like this. Sometimes he stumps me, sometimes I stump him. This one is a repeat from a previous video from Kent, without detailing to entire context here, I asked our driver which side of the chicken coup the egg would roll when the rooster laid the egg! Totally blind sided him. I ask this of some servers when they bring my bacon and egg breakfast. Some get it, but, most don't. Grins and giggles when they finally do get it!

Greetings from Monterrey, México Mr Rollings. God bless you too Sr.
We thank you so much for watching, and be sure and tell the family we said hello
I have loved pancakes since I was little. Still do. Your pancakes look so good.
These look so good!!!
I have to eat gluten-free now, so my hubs has turned into quite the gluten-free baker just for me 💕...
He makes the best pancakes with Bob's Redmill 1-4-1 GF flour in the light blue package. He also likes to add honey. We are also Clabber Girl fans for both their baking soda & baking powder. It never fails... Though we do, however, also like to use HEB's brand of aluminum-free baking powder when we can get it (sorry you don't have HEB stores in your part of Texas/OK 😕).
And regarding duck eggs??? YES!!!!! We have one girl Campbell duck we care for who gives us a hearty large-jumbo egg almost daily 💕. I grew up on duck eggs, & they're the best. Better than chicken eggs, IMHO - but I still love my sassy chicken girls who give us eggs daily, too (btw, Jersey Giants are the BEST for producing XL-Jumbo eggs!!).
- Also another good pancake tips is to use agave nectar if you don't have pure maple syrup available 😁.
I came here for pancakes but I fell in love with this man and his animals, lol I love America!!!
Can’t wait to try these. BTW, we have been using your coffee and have shared the recipe with a number of friends and family. Our stomachs love it and will taste great with these pancakes!! God bless you and thank you for all the wonderful recipes and cooking tips you share with us! I’ve learned a lot!! Thank you and Shannon for the great videos. Love the interaction between the two of you on the videos.
Thank you Kent and Shannon for another wonderful show. The fluffy pancakes made me think of something else. Do you have or have you thought about a Dutch oven "monte christo" sandwich? I love those things but not really available in a lot of restaurants. We appreciate what ya'll do.
Mr Kent, those pancakes look sooo good and also got my Dad and family watching your videos . Also trying some of your receipts
These are the absolute best pancakes I have ever had! The baking soda really made them good! I made a half recipe (like in the video) and got eight people size pancakes and four silver dollar pancakes for my two dogs. Kent's recipes are always great but he outdid himself with this one!
I've been making my mom's old recipe cookbook version for a long time. I wanted to try out a new one. This is amazing! I used to have 8 of my mom's pancakes every Sat morning. 8 of Kent's are too much for me, the honey and the pancakes being fluffier causes more syrup to be absorbed. Have to cut back to 4 of Kent's instead, just too rich!
I like to whisk the whites seperately and fold them in the batter for extra fluff. You don't need that much leavening that way.
Love that you used regular milk I rarely have buttermilk at home so I definitely will be trying this one.
I love pancakes 🤤😋..Yes i do 😊. Greetings from Sonora México 🌵 🇲🇽❤️🌵
Howdy and thank you for watching
He looks like such a sweetheart! And that golden color on the pancake... yummy!
Love this series!
I prefer aluminum-free baking powder and duck eggs are AMAZING for baking! ❤️
The world is sleeping on the joys of duck eggs in my opinion.
What's the difference?
@@michaeldunn5788 When used in baking duck eggs offer richer flavour and a firmer yet fluffier hold thanks to the extra fat meaning you can whip more air into the mix, A large duck egg is equivalent in measurement to two chickens eggs.
Personally if you haven't made duck egg creme brulee you're missing out, give it a try. 😉
@@heresjohnny602Oops I mean with aluminum free powder.
@@michaeldunn5788 There's less of a metallic taste from the metal that's used to trigger the reaction and it reacts with liquid to trigger the reaction instead.
Hey Cowboy, thank you very much for this video!👍👏 Love from Berlin!❤
Thanks for sharing. Excellent videography…should get an award for this one…editing, choreography…music…and cast…
Clabber Girl baking powder was what Mom always used, and is my preferred brand. A shake or two of cinnamon goes pretty good in pancakes too. This recipe is almost as simple as using one of the boxed mixes.
If you put together the dry ingredients yourself, you have your own mix ready to go. I use 3 cups GP flour, 1 cup bread flour and 1 cup whole wheat. Using whole wheat makes them healthy. 😉
Thank you, Kent and Shan! We'll definitely try this pancake recipe. We love videos twice a week. Please keep them coming.
I use, and currently have the original Clabber Girl baking powder in my cabinet right now. Best thing for pancakes in my opinion, but never tried baking powder and baking soda together in a pancake batter…but you know I’m gonna start using both now! Thank you for sharing these recipes with us!
I sure would love to have Kent show up every morning to my campsite 🏕
Pancakes are my favorite! I need to try these for sure.
