Dust To Dust.
... Explosion... ? Rip Old Tony
Rip old Tony
RIP Glorious Janitor now sweep the heavens
It’s like Pompei AFTER the volcano erupted
if only there was someone here to clean up that dust... RIP Old Tony
Don’t read the comments till you’ve watched the episode
Thanks for the heads-up
Thanks Guy, I don't normally do that
But it probably helped other people so thumbs to you my fella
U real for this one ☝️
I almost got hard spoiled. Thanks for the heads up
Too late, I read this
Leave on the vine
Blowing so slow
Like fragile tiny glass
Blowing across the floor
Little janitor, come marching home
Brave janitor, come marching home.
R.I.P Old Tony. You were a good man
Fuckin beautiful
Did not ask for the feeling
Nooo. Whyy? God speed old man.
If only I could have helped him
Dude i had tears in my eyes...
DAMN I KNEW OLD TONY WAS TOO MUCH OF A PURE HEARTED MENTOR FIGURE TO LIVE THROUGH AN ANIME INSPIRED CAMPAIGN
its always the good ones that fall first
@@jthunderboldt it's a shame people die when they're killed
@@jthunderboldtWilliam absorbed all of old Tony luck
1:13:17 people do die when they are killed is probably the best norman line ever
"Jokes on you, I don't understand how dangerous this is"
Words said seconds before disaster.
*Angrily likes.*
An artificer, that’s actually a really cool way to introduce it rustage, because it is the one class that wouldn’t really have a god. That’s clean you’re honestly such a great DM I wanna be like you
Agreed, that was smooth and interesting way to intro a new class that I wouldn’t have thought of at all given the godlessness of it.
Oof I guess you haven't seen many artificers in TTRPGs
Spoilers
What really gets me the most is that Old Tony aside for being the only father figure that Cody and Norman had was also the character who wanted the most to return back home and had a very good reason to do it but now he will most likely never get the chance.
New Isekai DnD episode! Can't wait to see what mischief Old Tony and the gang are up to this time
monuments before desaster
I’m so sorry bro
Lmao
This didn’t age well
Big Oof
Am I the only one that loves the way rustage yells no sometimes
Noooo
I literally read your comment WHILE Rustage screamed it 😂
No
It's really relatable.
it’s so good lol
honestly kinda impressive how this is the first player death between the 2 series
Hilarious that’s it’s someone playing in both and sad it’s the best character in this campaign to me
I think Rustage starting making the encounters a lot harder a few months ago
Daniel G. : I’ll attack three times ‘refuses to elaborate further’
Daniel R. : Takes off glasses and demands further elaboration
I’m just here for the Daniel show 😂😂
I know it was a joke, but I unironically want Tekking's new character to be a sexy snake lady.
I second that.
I just want to see how Briggs is gonna roleplay that.
Agreed 👍
@@TramplingBeast
Third....
that would be great
Fourth
For character that showed up once out of no where. Wellington is already the most influential villain. Can’t wait for more
On God. I think the only villain with more influence over the story then Wellington is the time police in one piece DND, and even then, we've only just now met them
@@sogekingsimp2469i mean blue blood
@@painvillegaming4119 yeah but wellington has been controlling the entirety of the world for over a thousand years
Honestly for a long time it was V and the 8 Flames, but that was also in Paradise.

RIP Old Tony(24 sessions from 2021-2023)
Now Old Tony knows what Pompeii was like AFTER the volcano erupted.
Jokes aside, that moment after Old Tony dies and Cody casts Wither & Bloom on that Telaxolotl sent a chill down my spine
It is true, people do die when they're killed
Interested to see what character Tekking plays next
It came full circle
well I hear a new class is being born, a god less class
I just realized, that ever god gave their champion some power except pladium. Poor old tony
The only thing Paladium did was erase Tony's MP3s... while it's unclear who the best God is one thing that's clear is that Paladium is the worst one.
@@yehuda8589true, right now the best god is drew.
Old Tony may have been a janitor, but he was done dirty
@@sarcasticsage984 Barbaris turned Caeser giant
I had the big part of this episode spoiled by OP DnD ep. 68, funny thing is tekking offhandedly mentioned making a new character for this series but it wasn’t until rustage was like “TEKKING NO STOP SPOILERS” that I went “wait what…”
I thought Rustage and Tekking would start a third DnD campaign 😂
Same here but it was in tekkings one piece chapter discussions that took place after this episode. A comment said how's your new character coming along.I ruled out William quickly, so I thought about it and I just felt...so much after😩
I didn't even catch it when it happened, good thing
RIP Tony.
He may not have been trained in survival, but he was the group’s moral compass.
Spoilers
I love how The Shark can now smite with fire like Old Tony which I believe searing smite was the first smite spell Tony used. I like how The Shark not only take the broken mop handle and wallet but also is the one who made a deal to save Old Tony which might later end up as a loan. I'm so excited for what Tekking's next character will be. Prey for Old Tony's return🥲🙏
Please, for anyone who hasn't finished the episode, do not look at the comments. With that being said, I am going to give my thoughts below. SPOILER WARNING:
Wow, this is the first time in a Rustage D&D where a player character has passed. The rest of the party's reactions were so heartfelt too. Cody and Norman saw him as father figure due to their various circumstances. The Shark genuinely saw him as a friend, family even. Kinda pictured The Shark's reaction as a "Terrible Day for Rain" moment in my mind. When Cody, being the one who believes in preserving life the most, used Wither and Bloom in that blind rage, sent massive chills down my spine. Someone who is so tied to nature and loving animals, wanted this thing to perish with all of his heart, using a Necrotic Spell to do so. On top of all of this, we finally have a new god in the party, Mr. Frank "The Fighter" Fettuccine. Absolute banger and heartfelt episode guys!
All this because Rustage decided not to do the birthday joke this time
True! He didn't do it so Tony got unlucky
kinda expected that the episode would end with the old tony wedding picture or something like that
They probably forgot idk 😅
And just like an anime, the mentor figure has passed. It was only due time after surviving the other 50/50 from the ice dragon
End credit story spoilers:
Yoooo an Artificer has been summoned. I wonder who it'll be cause it doesn't seem like its Tekking's new character considering Wellington summoned him as an ally.
I’ve been thinking that Wellington is the good guy and the gods are evil
@@Weeb-vj3xp could be
But we're also taking the words of a Skeleton with Wellington boots at face value, so it's possible he's full of bullshit or his info is wrong
@@wiiblii8584 yeah that could be true but with him being immortal we have no clue how old he was he might have been around before the gods were trapped or whatever
@@Weeb-vj3xp also true, but there isn't anyway to know for sure what will happen when all the gods are freed until it already happened, so we also can't tell for sure who's good and who's bad
@@wiiblii8584 yeah I agree I’m also curious on how tekkings new player will attribute to the new story sense he most likely might make a character in the world of vestoria
31:56 because of Rustage I just imagine a shadow fighter just shooting out a chilling hand like a missile 🤣
Man I sure do love old Tony I I hope he doesn't die in this episode
So do I. Man, I can't wait to see his reunion with his wife
“That might be a question for cl-“
… I think I know
I can’t put into words how much this episode rocked, I loved old tony and to see how the others reacted to him was perfect, I also want to know how the rest of the world will react. They made a lot of friends along the way so seeing their reactions will be something to look forward to I also have a theory. Old Tony’s son is the one skeleton boats summoned.
Edit: someone better pick up that phone because I f###ing called it
I dont knw if they can as when they tried revive shkespear and contacted pladium he said people from your world cant be revived as when they die, their soul goes back to their original world and hence I fear without some retconing or maybe because he activated his tower he could be revived.
I love the whole scene with Shark, I can see the scene so clearly in my mind's eye with the Humphrey Bogart music. Incredible work Rustage!
I am super invested in what character tekking plays next
A moment of silence for Old Tony tekking we will miss him
William still killing old people
Theory: they're fighting the gods at the end and Wellington will be their ally in the fight. The necklaces are just seals of the forbidden gods
My biggest regret, and absolutely idiotic decision was to look at the comments before getting to a specific pivotal moment in this session. In a world of blissful ignorance, I might've been hopeful, but with the foresight I was burdened with. I was instead filled with impending dread and sorrow.
Spoilers
Hits hard still. Clean up the heavens to a sheen, Old Tony
rewatching this episode to feel sad again
snap!
Unlucky… I’m definitely making an Isekai d&d angst animatic for this. Tony will forever be in our memories
I already miss Old Tony, trying to keep my tears inside....
Cody: "Old Tony....was the Honored One. *Necrotic Technique: Wither and Bloom."*
14:18… strange that we’ve never seen rustage and Jeff in the same place at the same time 🤷🏻♂️
The first player death between the 2 D&D series
“It’s me; I’m 24,” said Rustage
Spoilers below:
Wait a minute when Wellington did the summon he said he understood how it felt so that tells me he may have also been isakeied
Man, Daniel really wants Shark to die-
Healer/bear summoner Cody MVP
Oh god is this the end of the campaign-
NO NO NO NO NO...!! NOT OLD TONY!! NOOOOOO!!!!!!
Nope, campaign ruined, this is fucked- Well, better this chaotic campaign than One Piece D&D.
I blame the Shark for being so suicidal- Also for that gun roll, he stole Tony's successful roll
Come on, not Old Tony...!! He had a wife to return to..!!
Gonna play Re:Zero's Chain of Memories OST for this
This is a certified "I cook-a da pasta" moment
man
52:41 hold up, is it the first time he used this track
Sounds pretty good
You didn't ask but it is Battle Against a True Hero from Undertale OST
Ah yes, Frank "The Fighter" Fettuccine god of Italians
Thanks 4 all the hard work.
Though sad about what happened, this is the best episode of Isekai DnD in my opinion in a while.
This was really unfortunate and Old Tony didn't get what he deserved, but he will never be forgotten and died as someone who was loved by all
What I like about this series is that we have a podcast in the beginning of each episode.
What if the artficer at the end is actually Albert Einstein
Great foreshadowing from Tekking at the beginning of the episode
I wish I could say I was surprised, but with the amount of times old Tony has almost died in the series it was really bound to happen eventually
RIP.
1:14:40
My thoughts at this point were that the party REALLY needed to meet these "not-getting-up-again" conditions now. If they didn't, they'd be headed straight for a TPK.
If Tekking had used Divine Smite on that critical Old Tony would still be with us.
Not sure if anyone’s read record of ragnarok but I imagined an armourer artificer could be like Tesla in his power suit
Honestly what I thought of lol
I'm predicting it now, the God's were probably sealed away for good reason and when they're free they're gonna cause chaos. Then the party will have to fight all of the Gods.
Rip old tony. Although this gives me 3 questions. One, this only the second time I've seen a player die in dndso I'm not sure how this all works, will tekkings new character be the same level tony was to keep things fair? 2. I don't see why tekking couldn't be another person from history with a necklace. I'm sure rustage could come up with explanation since anime breaks its own rules all the time with group numbers. Ex espadas 1-10. you could make him like the 6th ranger or something. 3. If tekking does get a character from that world wouldn't that be kinda op since I'm pretty sure rustage said earlier on that the necklace owners have the ability to revive anyone from that world but not themselves? Also it should have been shark.
The end story answers at least two of your questions
The reason he couldn't be another Isekai'd person is because all the Neckalces were already taken
bro are you kidding me right now? I was waiting for a new episode to grind out some schoolwork and it comes out after I'm done
:( but I'm still happy abt it.
Random thing i love how one of the fight songs is the Undyne battle theme from the genocide route
This episode out of all the DnD episodes rocked me like no other and I was unfortunately spoiled by someone in the last OP DnD comment section upload but I'll say what I need to down below spoilers after this point.........
RIP Old Tony to such a great, funny and moral compass of a character that guided the crew so far and Cody has to be the 1 in charge from here on out I hope plus I still haven't finished the vod after I got to the death since it shook me so much but so what exactly happens to Old Tony in his timeline where he came from. Does he get to go back to his wife and son, or is he dead dead while his family questions where he is forever, which would be so sad and horrible? Can someone answer that for me, please?
The way they talked about it, it looks like tony will be missing forever.
wellington for sure made an artificer necklace and if tekikng doesnt play that character I will be disappointment
why?
@@Willover8000 Well they were talking about how their were to more necklaces left for him to be isekaid into so he would have to play a character from this world but now their is a necklace for him to do that so its kinda just perfect
1:11:50 NOOOOOOOOOOO
He was one of the good ones...
Welp this is gonna he interesting from here
Rustage is definitely getting better at this end stories.
even after so much time this still hurts
Why do the best ones die…
o7 he was real one
I watch this ar work and i had to pause it until i got off because the end almost had me in tears
The gunner feat gives you firearms proficiency, among other very useful things.
the energy everyone gives off at 1:12:00 had me jumping out of my seat
All that is left is a smoldering mop stuck into a pile of ash with his necklace and his phone sitting on top 😂
I legitimately shed a few tears over Tony’s death
I wonder who Wellington summoned. Also I wonder what tekking is going to make his new character.
It would be cool if Tekking's new Character wasn't human, would spice up the Character variety in rustage's campaigns
@@wiiblii8584 hear me out, snake daddy.
@@Huyrrou this plan has my approval
@@wiiblii8584 we know it going to be a character from this world as confirmed by rustage so he could be a bird, a hulgard, one of thos purple guys, or even a scrat
We will miss you paladad
Before it was just about getting back home but now the stakes just got real
It's funny how old Tony was the one who threw the rock in the lava in the first place
Man what a tragedy. Technically the first death in a Rustage campaign for the players but not the one he has been in. But to see that with Old Tony makes all his earlier actions feel like red flags and a call sign for this.
Also, the party has been grinding a whole lot of debt to the gods. First Cody with Dru when he faced Ceaser, and now the deal Shark made with Frank to get Old Tony back.
I love how most of the episode is the axolotl fight 🤣
I really wanna actually know if Tony is dead dead, or if he gets to wake up in his world. The optimist in me wants to say he gets to go home to his family. You will be missed, Old Tony. Elk Farv too.
22:11; if Norman truly wants healing spells, he needs to take the Magic Initiate feat and choose either the Cleric or Druid spell lists, or take the Artificer initiate feat. Either way, he'll not only get spells like Cure wounds or or healing word, but can also cast said spell on the lowest tier once without expelling a spell slot.
Otherwise he can get spells that either buff allies with Temporary HP, or heals himself.
Being someone named brodie. Hearing that brought a big smile to my face
HYPE. Now I have something for work tomorrow
Finally got back to this series and holy shit cody is badass when hes mad
SPOILERS FOR END STORY
“He knew how it felt”
Hmm… was Wellington or someone he knew summoned by the gods? I mean probably not because no necklace but I feel like that line has bigger implication than are obvious
He also calls the artificer a friend, which may just mean that he wants to become their ally or may mean he knows that the person he’s summoning is connected to him already
Maybe I’m looking too deep into this
Wow, ep 25 (saw on twitch) revealed the answer to all these theories
Nicola Tesla has to be the Artificer. Also RIP Old Tony
This marks the episode when I caught up to both one piece dnd and isekai dnd both from episode 1 to now it only took me about three months
you know I cant wait for the music intro of this like in one piece dnd if you ever make one
4:58 as in the characters/players
Because there was a bit of a toss up on black beard as well.
I don't know much about roll20, but if you can make custom tokens for it, I recommend the art for the Shadow Army token from Vanguard for the Shadow Spirit
Please, i beg, someone make a video compilation of everytime Rustage screams in any dnd campaing (pokemon, isekai and one piece) cuz his screams are hilarious.
11:46; I just realized something, since the Shark uses a Tommy Gun, shouldn't he be dealing poison damage since the bullets of tommy guns are made of actual lead? So the idea is that he attacks, deals damage and the target has to make a Con save or take lead poisoning.
Long Live Old Tony
Wait I just realized shouldn't the shadow have attacked after Norman because if I'm not mistaken it shouldn't have disappeared since Norman was still combat ready?
Well, he dient ready an Action for the shadow so, thats why the turn order starts with the first character after the texosomething
Is it me or does the thumbnail look like the dad from the Adams family.
Actually, I'll be dissapearing in a week, not last week! Hopefully I'll be able to watch or listen to the Briggs movie, or next OP DND
(SPOILER WARNING)
War Crime tally of the series so far: 47
Seven have been committed by The Shark, six of which are Desecration of the Dead as well as one count of Using Incendiary Weapons On a Person.
Twenty-six have been committed by Norman, which is using incendiary weapons on a person eighteen times, Psychological Warfare three times, Environmental Manipulation three times, attempted Environmental Destruction one time, Weather Manipulation once, Biological Warfare once, Desecration of the Dead once, and Destruction of Property of an Adversary.
Eight have been committed by Old Tony, three of which are Weather Manipulation, three being Psychological Warfare, and three being using incendiary weapons on a person.
