We're transforming this 90 acre property into a self reliant homestead and farm stay vacation rental. We're building infrastructure to accomodate future growth such as barns, duck house, 7 coop chicken house, water hydrants, planting an orchard, building a garden etc. Chickens, ducks, geese, mini pigs, rabbits, a bunch of barn cats and two old english sheepdogs make up our team here at the farm. Please follow along on our journey of transforming this place into something special.
Taking care of animals that get old and can't perform is well is a real animal lover. Thank you for not passing Fozzie by just cause he is getting older.
Never worry about us getting tired of the gardening. With so many of wishing we had a garden, it is quite therapeutic watching you and your darlin'...and all those precious animals. ❤
My Darlin actually finds it therapeutic too and she likes that she’s doesn’t have to go on a treadmill for some exercise cause the garden gives her a good workout 💪
Morning Chad. Another beautiful day on the farm. I LUV the turkey chicks.
Good morning ☀️
I love this 🥲
I have always believed that if we are housing animals that is our duty to keep them happy and healthy and that they are intelligent creatures and need mental stimulation just as much as they need food and water and when you provide a lifestyle like that for the creatures in your care you will see the difference in their house overall and whatever job you have set up for that animal they will do that job even better!
No, I’m not big on raising animals for consumption however, if that is the case, then you will have a better tasting and better yield of meat product animals as natural as possible. It’s a healthier and quality of meat.
You do a wonderful job at housing your creatures in your care. You can see the love dedication you have to them.❤
Love the baby turkeys, and your garden is awesome.
😁
Not sick of all the gardening stuff, at all! 🌱🌱🌱🐈 🦆🐥💚
A good life !!! Love seeing you and your darling working on a project together
So nice having her with me, she’s so excited about the garden.
I have a 'Couch Potato' like Fozzie lol. His name is Diego aka 'Garfield' because he's ginger and huge like Fozzie. He was a great mouser when he was younger and also caught birds, for which I had to chastise him lol. He's 17 years old now so pretty much just eats and sleeps.
Did I spy lilacs? The farm is coming to life. Baby turkeys! How exciting🙂
Oh yes the lilacs are in full bloom the whole farm smells like fragrant lilacs.
Weather looks beautiful and the garden is amazing. Looks like you have enough to open a farm stand.
Thank you for sharing. Love and Blessings.

😁
Sooooo much love for flocks, cats, rabbits. , you sir are amazing to listen to.
Much appreciated
Love the turkey poults. Martha Stewart in her blog says: “Turkeys are by nature ,docile, regal, and intelligent creatures.” Seems like often only 25% of poults survive though. They are delicate and that seems to fit your experience so far.
In my elder years, I have become a veggie lover-especially unusual and new tastes. If we manage to come for a farm stay vacation, would your Darlin’ maybe be kind enough to perhaps share some personal recipes for veggie enthusiasts to try on their own?
Heaven must be an eternal springtime on a farm!
You are such a good daddy to all your babies! I will never, ever get tired of watching the gardening and want to watch everything grow, especially the different veggies I have not tried before. Maybe in the fall, Remy can show us what she makes with them???? I watched Kevin Builds (name changed) and he uses a Canadian company……Natures Pond Conditioner by Koenders Water Solutions Inc. Maybe they have something you can use in the pond for algae. His pond is newly stocked with trout now and had a lot of algae. Have an absolutely wonderful day you two😘🍓🫐🍆🥬🥦🫛🌶🥒🥕🫑🌽🧄🧅🥔🍅
I love your animal family so much.
NEW HSF WOOP
YES!!! 👏
I love your baby turkeys, I have never seen one. I hate some passed, but the other two maybe a girl and boy. You are heaven sent for all the animals there. ❤😊
I love Maggie! She is so sweet!
From what I've heard, it's not unusual to lose several Turkey chicks within the first week, unfortunately. Your darlin' is going to have a busy Fall canning and freezing all those yummy veggies (unless you plan to sell most of them). Beautiful garden, beautiful animals, beautiful humans!!
I saw that too doing some research but I guess I made a mistake getting only 6. They were $20 each so I didn’t want to get too many and they all survived. It’s all great learning anyway.
@@HiddenSpringFarm Yikes! $20 EACH?! With no guarantees...I don't blame you for being conservative. Yes, all great learning. Your head must be exploding, lol.
@@carlapierle8623 haha I’ve learned more in the last 4 years building this farm than I did in the previous 10 😂 😂
@@HiddenSpringFarm 😂 I believe it!
Watching your videos really brightens my day. Such happy well looked after animals, my little one particularly enjoys watching the cats. My favourite youtuber by far 😊
That’s so great to hear, thank you 🙏
Oh my gosh the turkey babies are adorable.. love the gardens so much.. hi claw crew your all adorable, and I love your dogs so much, they are just so cute 😁
I swear I always thought this was you singing in this music 😂
Found an interesting channel. They're so cute.
Everything is looking great in the beautiful weather! But sorry about the baby turkeys, hopefully the remaining two will grow more and be ok. ❤
From my research I knew they’re fragile babies but I thought maybe one or two wouldn’t make it but 4 out of 6 dead? That’s rough. These two left are growing so hopefully they’ll thrive.
Love your music selections today. Made me smile! 😁😊
Nice!
Love the garden and seeing your family
Thank you for sharing the farm with us.
Our pleasure!
Your garden looks amazing!❤
So nice of you
The garden is looking amazing ❤ cheers my friend
😀
Love your content! Thanks so much for sharing, nice to see all the animals and the gardening. 😊
So nice of you
Dexter is so pretty… your farm panther is shedding his winter coat… the turkeys are adorable as a babies…
Yes the cats shed and also lose a bit of winter weight. Maggie especially she’s already so small but she must have lost 2 pounds.
@@HiddenSpringFarm wow! That’s a lot of weight for a cat to lose when they aren’t that big to begin with…
Rosy could lose 5lbs lol and still be a "big boy"
I like the videos but I love the gardening stuff too
Nice!!! 😊
Your garden looks very good,Chad🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
Die Enten und Gänse schauen wirklich gut aus 🎉❤❤❤❤
Die Kücken sind soooooo süüüüüüüß ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Low altitude sure makes a difference.....your lilies are ready to bloom. I looked it up.....turkeys do stress so I don't think I would pick them up much or at all.
I thought it was a turtle for the pond that you had gotten lol. A young turkey is called a poult, or a chick if it's wild.
Haha I knew it was one of the two 🦃
Good music today
😉
I got hungry listening to you show garden-looks great!
Haha I’m always hungry 😂
Lovely little chick's. Please don't eat them!!!😢
We love the gardening part, we would like to see more of it!. I bet your pigs would love to have a chance to go in those woods too and dig around. Do your rabbits get the chance to go on the grass for themselves? Do you raise the rabbits for meat, or are they pets?
Love the pond! Love watching the ducks n geese swim around in it! ❤ How do you get the feathers , and debris out of pond? Pool net?
It’s very therapeutic. I do need to get a long pond/pool skimmer net.
Another great video, your love of animals really shows. Thinking the investment in that beautiful pond has made all your feathered friends so very happy and they enjoy a better quality of life.
Aww thanks and Yes it’s so true I can see the ducks behaviour in the morning wanting to get out to the pond. It’s like they yearn it now
Those seedlings look promising! This is also my first time seeing a turkey chicks 😮
Kayanga Us too, I was surprised by how much they look like chicken chicks but as these two are growing I can now see some differences.
Some of the music overpowered the verbal audio…
I love the whistling piece… :)
Do you sell your eggs? Or just keep, them for yourself and your B&B peeps?
I noticed that today with one track specifically. Sounded good when I edited on my little desktop speakers but when My Darlin was watching on her iPad I noticed. Normally I match it pretty well but I don’t think fix it now either. Yes we do sell eggs, but I have one customer that buys about 12 dozen a month so I just really have him as he buys most then we keep the rest for us. We give a little basket of eggs when we get a new guest but after that we offer them for $5/dozen. A lot of guests buy some when they check out too. But if we have a longer term guest like we do now for a few months I just let the kids collect all the eggs they want no charge. We try to sell hatching eggs to when it’s breeding seasons.
@@HiddenSpringFarm that is so awesome Chad! I love that you do that… letting the kids collect the eggs like that, I bet they get a kick out of it…
I am trying to talk my husband into going to Niagara Falls next June for our 25th Anniversary and then making the drive on over to your farm to have a stay in the B&B… yesterday while we were having our anniversary lunch (we had plans to be with friends over dinner) he asked me if there was something special I wanted to do next year since it would be our 25th… I said I wanted to go to Niagara Falls and to visit your farm… he was like, you grew up on a farm, your mum and dad still own that farm, and you want to visit a farm on our 25th anniversary???? And then he started laughing…. I said yeah… so? What’s the big deal? This farm is special and I want to see it… he says, what my hunny wants is ok with me…….. so, I may be getting to visit your farm next June! Crossing my fingers!
* MARIGOLDS will serve you well ! Save the seeds & plant elsewhere round the farm .
They’re a nice flower too. I do have plans for a meadow so that’ll be a great wildlife attraction and good for pollinators.
I'm betting Maggie is the top hunter :) Where did you get the baby turkeys, you turkey-whisperer, you? :)
Maybe you showed it already, but I missed it - your berry patch: raspberries, thornless blackberries, hascaps, gooseberries, blueberries... :)

They will be scared of those cats.
You Rhode Island rooster has something going on neurological. He needs to see a vet
Vet's are terribly expensive. He seems happy enough...
How do you keep deer from hopping over that fence and munching on all your veggies?
I dunno it hasn’t been an issue, I think they haven’t learned it’s there or maybe the guard geese in the caboose honk them away.
@@HiddenSpringFarm Lucky! They go after everything, including my roses!
audio problems on this video ...
Such as? I know some music is a bit loud is that what you mean?
So quit sticking the turkeys in the dogs face. Got to understand domestic turkey is quite similar to quail. Though domesticated...seemingly, they are very fragile in the barnyard. takes about 4 days to a week for them to settle in. As far as wild go, they are generally hardier and geared toward harsher environments.Your next batch, don't handle so much until they settle in after the first week, you should see huge success.
