They are glued in, one of my blushes was loose in the compact when it arrived, so I saw the glue residue onnthe inside. No big deal, I just glued it back in, but the packaging is not travel friendly.
I went with 2 bronzers and 4 blushes as I've noticed that unintentionally entered a phase where I'm skipping highlighter and going ham on blush. Makeup really is fun 🙃
I have just never been too impressed with their pressed highlighters or bronzers but the blush looks nice. Although Too Faced just released a blush in a similar pink shade that I love. I miss CP's Night Bloom blush. Wish they didn't discontinue it bc it wasn't a straight bubble gum pink, the color was beautiful, almost lilac, and unique for my cool toned skin. I don't just want Barbie cheeks lol! Always enjoy Amanda ❤
No need to dig at an eye-shadow with a tool. I have a way to test if a pan is magnetic without causing damage (just a slight colourful smudge of a mess at most). I use a relatively strong magnet that I hover over the top of the pan or just touch gently to the surface of the product. I do have to be careful not to hover over other shadows though. Anyway... If it is magnetic, it will pop right out. The magnet I use is a stronger kind of refrigerator one. It's small, around 2.5 cm or 1 inch. It doesn't need to be super strong like you'd use for a science experiment in school, but it does need to be stronger than those really weak fridge magnets that won't even hold paper to the fridge. I love to pop pans out of Colourpop palettes and rearrange them! I do it constantly. One time, attempted it with a non-Colourpop palette and I very nearly destroyed one of my favorite eye-shadows in that palette! So an act of desperation I made the connection... magnetic pans...magnet... It made my life so much easier. I hope this can help someone else.
I just built a palette, I did five blushes and the Avila beach bronzer because its my boyfriends last name. Makes sense. And for the blushes I got all the bright ones, big reveal,prairie air, staycation, papaya, and FLAMINGO. Can you tell I am excited.
Agreed 100% on the plastic compacts. I've had to depot most of my quads due to the hinges breaking off, and I haven't even taken them anywhere! The single pans in the magnnetic palette is likely better protected than the singles
I ordered On the Radio specifically to wear as a blush / blush topper so I’m so happy you did a demo! No other influences with light skin tone wore that shade, and of course you are the one who came through. It’s kind of disappointing that the compact is not magnetic, but at least I can buy BYOP. I made an all-blush palette with the shades out & about, no rules, why hello, papaya, new 2 u, just cruisin’. I wanted so many! I love bright cool tone pinks but they don’t suit me so looking into seasonal color analysis helped. Lol i was deeply involved with this for days 😅 my palette arrived today can’t wait to check it out!
I'm on a no-buy right now because I overspent the last few months (black friday, Christmas etc) but maybe when summer rolls around I will grab a couple blushes on sale. I like papaya.
I know that this is not the focus point of your video, but I am SO tempted with the new Too Faced Palette 😁 I think I might even use my Ulta points on it. As for Colourpop, I like the range of shades, but aren't intrigued enough to try/buy any.

I have given colourpop a few chances with bronzers, but I can never find a good shade. They're always too orange or too red. Also it's disappointing that they are using the more plastic packaging, it breaks super fast. I've bought colourpop items that have snapped in half and broken as soon as I removed them from the box. Haven't bought from them in a while. Hopefully they can get back to the quality they used to be, the prices are going up while the quality is going down IMO....thank you for the video!
I understand but it seems like that could easily be remedied with a pic or sticker label on the outer box that would be more environmentally friendly + more travel friendly 😅

The papaya blush seems quite like the newer benefit blush.

I just finally ordered Menagerie Cosmetics’ Arthurine blush palette, so no new blushes for me!
The plastic packaging is so they can be sold in target because target doesn't have testers so with cardboard you wouldn't be able to see the colors.
