How did you like it? I love the look of it but I’m wondering if the mattes will come off looking ashy or not.
Please ColourPop, for the love of god and all thing’s almighty (and those who love eyeshadows)........will you PLEASE make a BLUE TONED PURPLE PALETTE! You have literally done everything except that! It’s a beautiful shade and will work on all skin tones. PLEASE!!! And Thank you. Oh... and NO pressed glitters please.
They have done a pastel blue with some lavender shades.
But I hear you. I'd love a gradient of cool toned blues and cool toned purples with some neutrals for the crease.
I'd also like to see an entire pallet of satin textures. These are very flattering for lids over 40. Also, I'd love to see an entire pallet of duo chromes.
Yeah for real, they keep doing warm and pink toned purples all the damn time. The 5 pan has been the closest but they still had to include 2 warmer ones 🙄
I want a cool toned palette with some fun pops of purples and blues (like Stone Cold Fox vibes BUT with pops of COLOR too). Enough with the warm oranges and warm pinks. Those cool browns are speaking to me but that's it
YES!! All their purple palettes (while pretty) are so warm toned!
SERIOUSLY. So many "purple" palettes out there (not just from Colourpop, but, like, everyone) are barely purple at all. A purple-leaning pink is not a damn purple. I just want some lovely, rich royal purples. Some lighter, some darker. Some leaning a teensy bit more pink, others a teensy bit more blue, but both without leaving the realm of true royal purple. Some mattes, some shimmers, metallics, even duochromes. Purple ones. Is this too much to ask? It sure seems to be hard to deliver.
I can’t believe that anyone has the nerve to complain that you’ve missed a palette in comparison! I think you include enough reference material for us to figure it out. Can’t wait to see your video of the 9 pans advertised with this one by Ulta.

I think I want Off Melrose more. I have at least 4 of the other palettes you compared, too, plus Sweet Talk so I don't need it. 24$ for Lust for Dusk is getting up there.
agreed! I think CP should stick to the $12-$18 price point w/ smaller palettes. they tend to repeat similar shades in these larger palettes anyway
I love my melrose pallete. I bought 2. There is a duochrome in it that is so unique.

I hate that prices are going up for colourpop pallets, I am wanting a eyeshadow palette just full of duochromes only, I think that would be really cool just having a pallet of one and done shadows would be a cool idea.
Just brought this today at Ulta because I was considering the Thats Taupe Pallet and the Bare Necessities Palette and Nude Mood, but I ended up choosing Lust for Dusk. Beautiful colors and super pigmented. I was considering Morphe as well, but these are a lot more blend able and bold in color.
Interesting about the carmine! Thanks for pointing that out. I’m often allergic to red eyeshadow. I suspected it was carmine. I didn’t even check the Boudoir Noir and I’m not allergic to any of those shadows.
I LOVE this color story! However it looks like two palettes I bought recently, Dominique Latte and Athr Rose Quartz. I have subculture too! That was a lot of comparisons! Thank you!! 🙌🏻. Your nails looks beautiful!

I was eyeballing this palette at Ulta yesterday but wasn't sure how closely it compared to That's Golden which I bought (even after your "meh" review lol) during the memorial day sale. Looks like I made a good choice since they are very similar. But can I say I am
H Y P E D that you're going to do a High Tide review?! It's my mission today to find a way to make that palette "daily wearable" because I'm obsessed with the theme and the color teal. My goal is to look interesting and fun instead of bowling-alley-bartender which most blue/green shades seem to do to people. I'll probably mix it with Going Coconuts or That's Taupe in order to pull it off, maybe?

Very good information. My eyes react badly to carmine so I assume I am allergic or something, any palette that contains that ingredient I just pass on it. But for those who can't or shouldn't use these products because of that ingredient (or others), these palettes need to be labeled clearly. Thanks for this video.
This palette definitely intrigued me but I honestly think I would be buying it for the foiled shade, and I don’t love that formula. The teal palette looks gorgeous but I don’t wear that tone often enough to warrant purchasing it. And the Limoncello blushes are ok, I preferred the cream ones that came out when the collection launched. The lux glosses are gorgeous, though!
I think this is one of your most cohesive, beautiful makeup looks you've done in a long time.. just a classic beauty. Almost disney princess-like!! ❤

At least with food, "may contain" is simply an allergy warning because it was processed in a plant that also uses those ingredients. Foods that say "may contain: milk"/etc are still vegan (provided the rest of the actual ingredient list is clean). I'm not sure what the restrictions are for makeup labeling however.
I realize that must be some kind of CYA label but I just really can't understand how a product that "may contain" a non vegan ingredient would be okay to slap the vegan label on... not for legal purposes, but for the actual human consumers who are concerned with using strictly vegan products. Even if it would technically hold up in court, it feels like a disservice to those customers 😞

This palette is tempting!! I agree that it's a more unique take on neutrals. Although I wish it was a little bit more cool toned. It feels there are a lot of orange-leaning shades, especially from the swatches.
Definitely warmer swatched than it looked in the pans to me!
This palette is so pretty for a "neutral" palette. It reminds me of the Juvia's Place Coral palette, mixed with the Mulan palette (?) Lol 😄🤷🏻♀️

Duuuude....that is sooooo aggravating!! I'm not vegan either. However, I did just order this palette because I am a cool color lover. But, I am a Colourpop lover specifically for their honesty. Whether this is because of Ulta or because of Colourpop....Idk. It is something they need to fix.

Not really feeling this palette. I'm still almost exclusively interested in monochromatic palettes, I have so many mixed palettes, I feel like they're all kind of the same.
I'm really looking forward to your review on that teal palette.
And I still want CP to do a 9 or 12 pan camouflage themed palette with MATTE olives and muddy taupes.
You're very hard to beat when it comes to informativeness (is that even a word) and both swatch quality and all the comparisons that you do. Again, great job, and very pretty look!

The look you did is so gorgeous that I’d buy this but only on sale. I wouldn’t use much of it, but the look you created makes it tempting. I can’t justify paying full price when I won’t use it all.

I got it on release day and the store didn’t even have them out yet. I made them go to the back to get it lol. I have to say, this is one of my favs. And I own a lot of CP palettes. It’s stunning and not your average neutral palette

I like that the oranges don’t dominate the palette. Compared to other “fiery” palettes (like UD Wild West), this one seems more approachable if you prefer cool/neutral tones.
I haven’t been interested in a neutral Colourpop palette in a very long time, but I like this one.

I ordered this palette with the release of the Lush Life. I don't know how long they had it at Ulta but the day I ordered Lush Life was the first I saw it on their website. I'm looking forward to getting both of these.

This is prob their 43rd palette this month(exaggeration 🤣😜) very pretty palette, love Colourpop....they just come out with alot of the same thing...but always turns out pretty...just got the lovely palette and the barbie palette....I didn't want the other big palette that came out but every time I see it makes me like it even more...has that ever happened to u? It reminds me of the Tati pallet, I was hoping it was going to be a grey tone pallet like the ND Glam I’m looking for a cheeper alternative.
I feel like (at least based on pictures) Stone Cold Fox has a lot of the same tones as the Glam palette. Or there's also the Kara Beauty Goddess Nem palette. (I actually just got both but haven't used either yet because I'm lazy and unmotivated, hooray!) I can't speak to the quality, as I've 1. I've never tried ND and 2. Like I said, I haven't tried the palettes yet. But the colour story is pretty comparable (and there's more, as they both have 30 shades to ND's 15).
I have stone cold fox and ND glam and they are not the same but you can get similar looks to the ND. I don’t regret buying Stone Cold plus it’s half the price 🙂

I really hope this one comes to the Colourpop website as I would really like it and obviously being in the UK I can't get it in Ulta.
I remember when the Truly Madly Deeply palette came out, I happened to be in the US on holiday and I went to every Ulta I could find. Couldn't get hold of that palette though. But then when I got home it arrived on Colourpop's website and I snapped it up. I think it's probably one of my favourite Colourpop palettes. Ever.

I also regularly wear highlighter across my whole cheek as I'm not really a fan of the strip across my cheekbone.
OMG CP had such a good memorial day sale I couldn't rei=sist- got Just Mu Luck, Ornate (only $6), the new35 pan palette, blushes. I ended up getting 12 items for $93. It was a rough day and I thought may as well! I love the teal palette!

This one just reminds me of a combo of shades from Bare Necessities and Stone Cold Fox. I was waiting on your review bc you have the best comparisons! Edited to say I picked this up today June 3rd 2022 from Ulta. My original comment was from June 2021. Lol.
I'm not Vegan either but feel it's very important to list the ingredients properly. Some people are actually sensitive/allergic to Carmine & others are very sensitive to the red dyes used in place of Carmine. I saw an increase of reported eye irritation when certain brands switched to all vegan formula. Cruelty Free & Vegan are not the same thing either. If you're purchasing from Ulta or Sephora it's best to check the ingredients on the brand's website for the product you are interested in to get the full & most current ingredient list.
