Set several years before the Battle of Yavin, a Stormtrooper unit led by Captain Quarrie are in great need of reinforcements while on a search and capture mission on the forest planet of Cilpar. The Cilpar natives have given the Empire great resistance in locating the Emperor's missing experiment.
Stormtrooper units accompanied by spec ops and Mandalorian mercenaries have been sent out across the galaxy in search of the target. But there is another presence on Cilpar who also seeks the package. The race is on as a growing Rebellion makes a move to gain the upper hand against the Galactic Empire. In 2015 our team met a 13-year old boy named Phillip Parks who was battling brain cancer. One of his wishes was to be a stormtrooper so our team was able to get him an official stormtrooper costume. Sadly he passed away a short time afterwards. His brother, Ben, was able to appear in this film in Phillip's costume. Wanting to do more for the hospital who cared for Phillip, Norton Children's Hospital in Louisville, KY, our team decided to embark on creating this fan film in his memory and as a way to bring attention to the good work of Norton Children's Hospital and Children's cancer.
We would like to thank every single person who participated in the making of this film. It could not have been made without the hard work and talent of so many big-hearted individuals donating their time.
What you are watching and hearing are many hours of hard work. We wanted to go old school and minimize the CGI. The Lightsabers and Compositing were the bulk of the CGI work. Everything else from the ships to the large scale props were all hand made or models that were put together. We went through and found 1980's models when we could. The cockpit, and other ship exteriors were large scale props we built. The bunker, speeder bikes also were built by hand. The music is 100% an original composition that paid homage to Mr. Williams and the Star Wars musical feel. The Lightsabers were handmade as well as the other weapons. Costume designs were also handmade for new characters.
We premiered the film in January of 2019 to a packed house and managed to raise awareness for the hospital and present them with a donation from the attendees. We present the film here to freely enjoy, share and distribute in Phillip's name and would encourage anyone who wants to help support the cause to find a cure for Children's cancer by donating to Norton Children's Hospital via their website.
Thank you to George Lucas, Lucasfilm LTD, Timothy Zahn and all who helped in the creation of the characters and worlds presented here in this fan fiction. Thank you to the composer, Joe Stockton for his entirely original score with great respects to John Williams.

Jesus, these guys made a 50 minute star wars film on a low budget that had me more engaged than the sequels. I would pay to see this in a theater. Great work!

I just loved it when the stormtrooper said: "Anytime you want to try me Jango, I'll take your head off too." Caught me by surprise and got a good laugh out of it.
I posted this question when I watched this last night. How in the world could this be Jango? He died during Episode II. Any ideas here?

Feels like you plucked Kanan straight out of the cartoon, he was spot on! A shame he didn’t have Hera come pick him up but hopefully a part 2 will introduce a live Ghost crew. By the way, Vader was on point, the look, the mannerisms and the voice! Superb. A well above average fan film. Thoroughly engrossing.

I love it so much when movies are made with real ideas instead of a budget.
When Lucas created the original trilogy he was able to capture this incredible spirit that you could feel throughout the films. It was because of his passion that the audience could literally feel everything he was trying to say within his films. His passion can only be recreated by fans who are equally as passionate and you showed that in this incredible film.

This is by far THE BEST fan film I have seen!!!! The tie in cameos are JUST AWSOME!!!!! and the way they played those characters was perfect to those characters.....VERRY NICLY DONE!!!!!!! I REALLY wish this was cannon!!!!!

I know I'm partial because it's my Babygirl playing Mara Jade, but this movie is great. I've watched it 4 times and will likely watching it 100 times more. Just like all the other Star Wars' movies. Excellent job all involved. Ken, Nathan, and all the actors and crew. Bravo Zulu!

We had very little money and it is a charity film. We went old school with the effects and techniques using the models instead of just using CGI. Thank you for the kind words.

Man, the beginning with the poor, outnumbered stormtroopers and then the aftermath was heartbreaking! And the actor who played Kannan was spot-on. That was perfect. I suspected the young woman was Mara; it was awesome to have this confirmed. This was really well done. Thank you!

Guys this was awesome. I’ve only just touched on Mara Jade in my Star Wars journey, so to see some of her origins is fantastic.
The acting was good, and the special effects were ok as were the settings for the cinematography, however there were a few scenes that could of been directed better, but people have to remember that this is a fan made film and doesn’t have the multi-million dollar backing that the latest trilogy has and to do what you have done is awe inspiring. A big thumbs up to all involved, well done👍🏻

I've loved Star Wars passionately for as long as I can remember. I first read Zahn's Heirs to the Empire trilogy in my teens and loved it, and Star Wars Rebels has to be my favorite Star Wars, since the originals. So yeah, this is a real trifactor of a win for me. For a fan film it was done extremely well, and is more true to the source material than any of the Disney movies could even dream to be. Anyway, well done and great to see that there are still some real Star Wars fans who care about the story, and not just about subverting expectations (with Luke milking space-cows) and making a name for themselves on somebody else's achievement without any real appreciation for what Star Wars is really all about.

I gotta say i just started watching without having any info goin in and wow soon as kanan shows up in the shot i instantly knew it was kanan and got reap pumped. Love seeing his character excuted so well with wearing the storm trooped armor disguise and infiltrate the enemy. Its like and episode right out of rebels. Well done

WOW. Just WOW. I love how the story brings together so much of the Star Wars universe. Kaanan from Rebels, Mara Jade from the books, Capt Corey from Clone Wars(I think). The addition of Saxon was a nice touch. BTW, who couldn't get invested in the bit of humanity between the stormtroopers? Especially Corey and Saxon. EVERYONE got fleshed out a bit. Damn good writing. Mara's transition from "innocent kid" to merciless force assassin and spy was really well acted too.This is the kind of storytelling that pulls an audience into a movie. I really wish Disney had looked at the hundreds of Star Wars books and comics published over the years to help them put together a new storyline rather the uninspiring, disjointed mishmash that they came up with. All said, this is a well acted original story that meshes well with Canon, and is done in a manner that really grabs hold of you. Great job!!!

I only saw a few things that screamed "fanfilm". The quality of the costumes and props were great, and the acting better than most of what the Mouse has put out. The casting for Kanan was spot on, and Krystabelle did great as Mara Jade. And watching this from the perspective of a grunt, the back and forth between the troopers was excellent.
As far as the hospital, Norton, I live in the Louisville area, and they are great. If you have kids in the region, if you needed that level of care for your kids, that's where you want to go.
