The glasses killed it for me
Honestly him grabbing Anakin's (not his own) lightsaber and igniting it then remembering all of what he went through with the Jedi is really cool but we know for a fact Vader doesn't get inner peace until Ep. 6 when Luke removes his helmet and brings Anakin back. I think that him having a moment where Vader loses control and Anakin takes over, feels nostalgic for a second is great but I would've loved to see him then explode in rage as we've seen Vader completely lose it so many times before. Him remembering that he lost everything and was betrayed (in his point of view) by not only the Jedi but Obi-Wan would've made him go berserk. The end was too calm and collected for Vader but this was pretty cool non the less
When a fan film understands the psychology of star wars I enjoy it no matter who makes it
I really liked it, especially the section when Vader was remembering... I wish my suspension of disbelief had not been poked by little things (glasses, nike swoosh, sports field in the distance). However those also gave the film a certain charm. Well done!
Omg poor anakin! I could just see him melt away in his suot there, then as he walks away from there in just so much pain of what hes become. You can feel it.
Might just also been my training in combat that taught me this, but i can definitely see it even thought this is dan made and not the cast.
You did a good job all of you to capture that exact same sense. I feel we wont actually come to reat with anoe till the shows finish finally with him and it comes back to episode where we see his final piece. RIP man, salute from one lord to another

I love how when Vader cut the Jedi’s head off is was framed just like when he cut Dooku’s head off in revenge of the Sith.

I could have done without the glasses, but the Jedi robe is film quality, as well as the saber! The saber graphics were extraordinary. Still shots and choreography were also very well done. Funny side note, you got knocked on your ass yet your glasses remained one with the force lol LOVED the Dooku execution throwback! All in all, a very good fan film; job well done!

George Lucas himself has said that even as Darth Vader Anakin would question what he was doing. I’m sure that voice got smaller and quieter as time went on, but it was always there. Hayden Christensen says he always sees Anakin in Darth Vader. Easy to believe that finding his own lost lightsaber, last seen in his son’s hand, would jolt him.
I just watched this again and realized that “this lightsaber is your life” and leaving it was symbolic of leaving his old life behind. Well done, boys!

Jimminy Cricket! Very well done, folks! I absolutely love how you gave Vader conflict... because from my point of view, Anakin has always been conflicted. Even after he became Vader... those conflicts never went away.
Another thing I'd love to see in cannon is Vader holding anakins lightsaber and to see his reaction when he holds it maybe get a flashback of his life as anakin

Y know when the Vader was revealed I chuckled. Head looked a bit too high or small maybe, couldn't put my finger on it. But when he started moving, I immediately understood the casting. In movement and especially HOW they moved was extremely Vader. Pretty good.

I really love the symbolism of him leaving the lightsaber there showing that it's not his anymore
He should have kept it because he still made it and Would've thought of Luke to keep it safe and to hold onto it for Luke.

The biggest problem with Vader, the guy that played him was like 7 feet tall and a large build. All the Vader's in the fan films just don't have that massive presence.
Well rounded good choice of weather the snow brings a sense of cold and despair and sadness along with the sunset like as one would say the end of all things good that entire weather setting worked perfectly with vaders long walk down the hall into history back....well done well played and you left the lightsaber there good play there you left it so maz katan could find it it all played together well

i thought it was a well thought out plot. however, Darth Vader NEVER did, nor would say "what have I done to a randim Jedi. GREAT SHORT FF. 6/10! ( ALSO GREAT AUDIO!!!!) THUMB UP!
Obviously low budget, with that in mind. The glasses were jarring, contacts next time, shoot (or color grade) to low light/night time to hide the costume quality. The light saber effects were spot on, sound design and score were really good, and the most impressive thing to me was the choreography for Vader’s fighting style. Look very accurate when compared to the Empire strikes back.

You know I would nic pick every detail, like how Vader wouldn’t kill a hunter for nothing but the text literally said Vader is at his most raged state for the longing of his son. So pass. And how Vader wouldn’t toy with the Jedi and would kill him almost instantly when seeing him, but the dramatic way he did it was very good. In the end, this video is far superior than the fan sequel movies we got. So…. A+.

Guess the “Jedi” couldn’t use the midi-chlorians to fix his eyes so he had to go to lens-crafters and get a pair of glasses 🤓.
It had the clone wars episode 7 feel where Vader picked up Ahsoka's lightsaber.
