Best hardcore band from back in the day. My all time favorite hardcore band. Even listening to it today it still sounds so agressive. Saw them so many times with LOA, Skarhead, Clutch to name a few. 🤘
Saw them tour for this album at Ozzfest 97 West Palm Beach Coral Sky Amphitheater 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽Saw Pantera and Type O Negative, Neurosis, Fear Factory,Black Sabbath
This is great and a band that got me to go down the Hardcore rabbit hole after being into tradition metal and hard rock. This band influenced so many bands and I’m forever grateful that they turned me into all the positive hardcore and metalcore bands that got me through so much shit in my early 20s. Shane, your passion for music oozes out of you and you’re quite the funny fucker. Keep it up!
I saw them live countless times at the little club called Sea Seas in Moosic Pa. Amazing every show!
I've been to Sea-Seas many times as well!
The whole album is awesome.
I saw them at Ozzfest 97. They were killer.
Earth Crisis VOD Crown of Thorns no redeeming social value 25 to Life bulldoze Terror Fahrenheit 451 I can literally throw 100 names of bands out there that I will always. The 90s hardcore scene on Long Island was pretty f****** special
They were amazing. The shows at the church & Trocadero in Philadelphia back in the 90s was special.
You can thank VOD for bands like Slipknot, Shadows Fall, Lamb of God, Killswitch Engage and every other metalcore band
Absolutely correct!
Love V.O.D. Saw them a few times at toads place in New Haven!!! Love them!!!!
This album is a masterpiece. An to me them amd earth crisis started the metalcore genre .. see them so many times. One of my all time favorite bands
I saw vod at hardcore Superbowl in DC. Great band .
Great band
I met these guys backstage at a Pantera show in ohio. Pretty cool cats. Kinda became "friends" and would go watch em play whenever they were around. The song Phil does with em on "imprint" album, BY THE River,is a fuckin sick track
D.T.O. (46:45) from the "Dead in NY" live DVD
Sounds cool from the get go but that first scream really kicks off the track like WRRUUAAAAAAOOOOOOOOOOOO
Saw them in 2001 with Candiria , Glassjaw, Sworn Enemy and Nj Bloodline. One of the most violent shows I have ever been to.
I can only imagine, I know back in the day them hardcore/ straight edge shows would get pretty risky back in the day.
Glassjaw and sworn enemy? That’s a weird combo
I started watching these guys back in the day at the Northport skate park on Long Island. This and their EP Still are PERFECT albums that hold up today. This is my favorite NYHC album of all time.
Every other album is AWFUL. They never recaptured this sound.
The demo before this album was awesome… saw them in Albany (NY) in 96 when this album came out… great energy… the new kings of New York hardcore are:… I’ll tell you in Patreon 😬
If you were a hardcore kid from Long Island VOD was it.
How bout sum Neurosis 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
Choke
I think it was Saint Vitus .. bar in bk.
That's 8n my top 10 fav albums 🔥
Shane, are you talking about CBGB’s?
I think I put this on my Glorious 90s playlist. Tasty jamm
CBGB was the club.
Botch had some great spin offs (Playing Enemy is def worth a listen) , Club was CBGBs ..

@@ShaneDiablo Great band influenced by botch from Washington state (same scene essentially). Members of Kiss it goodbye (an older hardcore band), they were sick as well.

The green album is a goddamn classic
I will offer horns for them hailing from Long Island NY (East Coast USA represent!!) and for your KISS t-shirt 🤘....but this will otherwise qualify as a polite pass for me.....
You need to learn this band. Never saw them w straight edge. Ohhh yeah hatebreed SUCKS. Had ass kicked 3x. Under 5ft, under 100lbs. These dudes were angry and took it out on the only female. Yeah f hatebreed
Phil Anselmo on..yeah I saw downset w Deftones!!
I saw the same tour! Downset and Deftones and think another band!
Vision of disorder are awesome as f...!,not a lot of attention they should have got!
