Hey Nate, I was thinking about talking about the ATL allegations. They've been around for a long time in the scene, and have done some very creepy things, and had allegations thrown at them around 2021. But nobody is talking about it and they still have MILLIONS of listeners and are still making music.
Hey if you want more journalistic integrity, don't alienate viewers by calling them retards. Do some research about autism and famous autistic people a d then I doubt you'll want to keep using that as an insult. Pretty sad it's the first video if yours I have seen and you already insulted a big part of who I am.
This cracked me up, thanks. I did a summer on the tour, the amount of creeps hooking up with young girls without asking about or caring about their age made me sick. People thought I was weird for hooking up with girls older than me, and I was like 21. Says everything you need to know about that culture. Probably the same today, 18 years later.
@@actuallynotsteve that’s funny because I was in highschool / junior high around this time and it was almost acceptable for girls that are like 13-16 dating seniors in high school. I’m 26 now with a 23 year old gf and that’s the largest age gap I’ve personally experienced. Just glad that this behavior is called out these days
Imagine if one day a band guy gets accused of being a nonce and he just goes "I've been made aware of the allegations. They're all accurate, sorry about that"
It’s so weird to view the 2010s post hardcore/alt scene in hindsight. I was 16 in 2011 and had a very different attitude towards consent, abuse of power, and the predatory nature of many individuals that I used to idolize. Thank you for this video, you’re doing a good thing here and creating a space for safe reflections of the past, keep it up! ❤
Same here. It's especially yikes because so many of the worst parts of this culture also spread to my "friend" group at the time (where there were 20 something dudes hanging out with me and my teenage friends).
Yeah I look back and think of all the lyrics I was singing along to, and what they actually meant, and all the horrible ideas that were presented to me as a young teen. The fact that the creepy fanfiction me and my friends were writing could have actually happened is absurd.
This series is healing my inner band kid seriously. I was a huge fan of attack attack! so naturally OM&M became one of my favorite bands at the time. Since Warped died, this stuff is rarely talked about anymore. It’s interesting to hear you break down all of these stories again as an adult. Wild.
I was on warped tour 2002 & 2003, right when the scene really started changing from punk rock to emo. I missed all this gross drama & walking off the tour in chicago 2003 is still the best decision I've ever made. I literally left the amphitheater and caught a cab to my apartment. Kevin Lyman tried giving me shit on our tour bus for not wearing vans & I was just over it.
Damn if u have any personal anecdotes about Kevin you'd like share hmu on twitter on instagram, links r in my bio. I wanna talk about him in this series eventually
@@FXKNate for sure ... I was living/working at the label offices in OC with a travel/band apartment in Chicago so I was kind of right smack in the middle of the industry end of things at the time even though i was an artist .. lotsa KL & general behind the scenes stories 😂
I never attended Warped in those years, but i think it got a lot better. I was always just a merch guy or hangaround for bands on the tour (2010-2013ish), and it really wasnt that bad most of the time, atleast in my bubble and the bands I hungout with, the parties on the busses got pretty questionable. As far as the management of the tour, logisticaly/business-wise etc... went pretty well. It was always some band and/or members of a band causing issues and making the whole program look bad.. sometimes it was even some of the vendors or tour sponser booths. I remember Truth had some sketchy shit happen. An accurate summation would be that many warped bands, more specifically the in post hardcore scene really do have a proven history of allegations (convicted or not. mostly not) of sexual conduct w/ minors. Imagine if the internet existed when Motley Crue was around!
I met Austin after the allegations and i gotta say it’s weird that he moved countries and became super Christian but other than that he actually seemed really genuine
He was going super Christian before. Allegedly he wanted more Christian stuff in the songs but OM&M said no, hence why he said he felt limited creatively. As for moving I think his dad was already out there
@@anthonycole6839 partially correct. He indulged in the bad for OM&M. He left om&m because his health was seriously bad. He couldn't perform without his body failing him on stage. He's in a good place now and openly talks about how he hated how wicked he was.
I love the way that you acknowledged false accusations. My ex made a false accusation about me a few years back and it's made me paranoid because I know people don't understand what you just described about why people lie about things. I know it's off topic from the rest of your video, but that stood out to me a lot.
For me personally it really hurts me knowing that the music i used to help me heal from my trauma from SA was made by people who did the same things to others. Regardless of if you think some artist did it or not you cannot deny that this is a really big problem in the scene.
@@FXKNate It’s definitely changed my view on stan culture because i was a hardcore fangirl for bands like ptv and ghost town. After that i realized that just because they’re “famous” doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be held accountable. I think a lot of people who rally behind these bands should take a step back and realize that they’re still just regular people. Who are still fully capable of causing harm to others. Just because they’re apart of a band you love doesn’t make them perfect.
really sorry about what you went through.. I hope youre not like every other girl who screams abuse from these types of dudes and proceeds to continue to date and sleep with these same types.. thats all too common.
@travismartinez5331 You're not sorry at all. You feel nothing for what she went through and that is evident in your post. Don't say anything next time.
I’m glad someone is talking about this. I went to warped tour once and the amount of band members who tried to seduce me at fourteen is absolutely disgusting. It was such a let down knowing musicians that I liked were pedophiles. I felt so uncomfortable and I remember another young girl telling me how I lucky was that I got attention from band members and I told her “no there’s something wrong here..” I was never physically harmed but emotionally I changed. When I would speak out what happened to me on Tumblr, other fans turned against me and I left the internet for the longest time. There is no reason someone in their 20-30’s should be hitting on underage people or asking for us to come to their trailers.
@@letscheertoths Don't you understand? It's already hard for women like @KobiPhantom to remember all those terrible memories. Name dropping will only make it worse. You might just listen to some other bands from different genres.
You deserve so many more subscribers I love this series and as a young girl myself when bands like this were massive these stories need to be shared to show how easily young people can be influenced by power and fame of these men ❤

@@thecreatedvoid117 I heard a lot about Jack and my suspicions were confirmed when I realized he dated Abigail Breslin when she was 17… THE GIRL FROM LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE?
Shout out to Caleb for being a real one. Keep these vids up. I feel like all these allegations came up, and disappeared. Good in ya for keeping the word up for the situations
I met Caleb at a show in late 2009, shortly after he took over lead vocals for Attack Attack! He was the nicest dude and even let me take a picture with him (which I probably still have on one of my really old phones somewhere). Out of all of the people I've met from bands throughout the years, he was among the nicest of them.
Yeah Caleb got a lot of hate while he was frontman for Attack Attack! Sure, he wasn't as good as Austin but he filled the spot well especially his lows. I don't blame him for leaving and forming Beartooth.
Fun fact: Digging Your Grave by The Plot In You is 100% a diss track towards Austin. Landon and Austin knew each other growing up. Landon would claim that Austin lied about a lot of specifics about his childhood and upbringing, and that he lied so ye could get to the position he was in.
17:14 once Austin invoked the “cancel culture“ excuse, he kinda told on himself. Some of his recent online behavior leans towards him being someone who would act as the allegations described. He’s been very Tommy Vext-ish since 2019
@@Whileweweresinners he publicly endorsed trump and criticized blm which led to him getting kicked out of bad wolves, and he tried to sue them so he could get the bad wolves trademark.
Thanks so much for bringing to light these allegations. I was in a lot of UK based scene facebook groups in the early 2010s. There were always girls claiming to have slept with Austin. Only ever Austin though, never any other lead singers of any other bands who toured here. They were always around 15-18, alot of them had pictures with him that didn't seem to have been taken outside a venue/meet+greet. I've always believed it. There were countless stories about him being extremely shitty towards fans too. I'm very much glad hes no longer in the scene
My father went through AA and I have found that he does not take any accountability for things that he did while an active alcoholic. So Austin could be shielding himself with a more “born again” or “new man” defense.
@Devil Bird Yeah, I see what you’re saying and the analogy you used is helpful. It really does make it difficult to have the conversations that would heal our relationship though. When you can’t be judged for what you did while you were sick, but the consequences of your actions have left so much hurt in their wake. Is it the sole responsibility of the victim of abuse to ‘get over it’ because the abuser is a new man? You know, I am so proud of my father for getting sober and staying clean. I love the person he is today. But it is hard to forgive and forget abuse.
@Devil Bird thank you! It is a weird cognitive dissonance thing I deal with concerning my dad. But i was thinking it probably was elitist/judgmental to say ‘new man’. I should really think of it more in terms of recovery, which I think your first comment effectively pointed out. Thanks for talking!
i was hoping you’d make a video on austin as part of this series. i feel like no one has ever properly addressed these allegations in detail or a dedicated youtube video before. cozy representative touched on it but it wasn’t a video solely focused on it. thanks for making great youtube videos!! ill be here to see your rise to the top dude
I must say after watching this video, the Mike Fuentes video, and the BryanStars video, you’ve brought back a lot of memories from my teen years when all this was popping off in the scene. I’m so invested now in this series that the 20 minute videos feels like 5 minutes. You’ve earned a new subscriber and definitely deserve more.
The glorious stories of scene degeneracy continue! Maybe next we’ll get the bassist from Like Moths to Flames, Tyler Carter (formerly of Issues), Eddie from Suicide Silence (post warp tour story), CJ McCreery… the list goes on.
CJ McCreery situation was literally nothing, which is sad because it got him kicked out of Lorna. They haven’t had anything close to as good as the Immortal album
@@blacksunshine9995 I’m looking forward to CJ’s new project coming out, I was just rattling off all the high profile allegations I could remember from the past few years.
@@Spermwhales93 There’s no way a straight man does the things the victim claims he had to do. I’m sorry but there’s no “power dynamics” involved between the two. I bet things went down between TC and the other singer, but they were consensual.
Love this series!! The amount of thought and detail you put into each episode and all your content before as well. Im glad you’re getting the recognition you deserve ❤ I grew up in the 2000 to 2008 era and these skeezy things were happening back then too. it’s awful. A couple to add to the list:Josh from ADTR and Steve from NFG. Both are gross.and I’d love to see your take on them both. Looking forward to the rest of your series!
I wanted to get into Of Mice & Men more, but Another You was one of my all time favorite songs. It’s so horrific hearing about stories like these, and as much as it hurts hearing about a person you liked did disgusting shit, I know it hurts more for the victims who had to go through this. I hope they get justice
@@toyotaecw I’ll give their new music another try, but when I first heard it after learning Austin left due to his health problems (this was like 2018) and I heard it, it wasn’t exactly my cup of tea
I dont know if they made more recently. But I know they had like an EP or something, like 3 songs, that I really enjoyed. At first I didnt like their sound without Austin but those songs I mentioned are really good
Loving this series and the video! Will add something in regards to the whole Alternative Press and defamation issue (I'm just completing a degree in Journalism hence why I know this). Even if the words 'alleged' and 'suspected' are used, it can still be defamatory. It does not matter if the claim is true or not either, all the claimant must prove is Defamation, Identification and Publication - also known as DIP. If its defamatory i.e. harms the persons reputation, like this article would, and can easily be identified as a specific person then they can be sued for defamation. There are defences of course - the information being in the public interest or being provably true being the main two, and honest opinion (which only applies to reviews). However, sometimes the editor will straight up deny an article being published for fear of being sued no matter if they have a defence or not. I rarely agree with dropping an article as important as this one, and I don't fully agree with this my morals battle each other whenever I explain something like this - however as a journalist I do sympathise with those who were up against Austin. This is the UK law, but I imagine US law is similar. Hope this helped a little :) Keep it up though really enjoying this content.
Great information next video, Tilian Person and DGD cover up of tilians SA pretty sure the girl would be down for a interview she’s been really open about what happened, right down to the screen shots
@@OneFlewCuckooI was thinking the same thing, how lucky to experience warped in its golden years. I only got to go to warped tour when I was 14, being born in 98, actually I think I got to see Of Mice & Men that year lol
Keep it up because I remember being around 11 when I fell into this punk-rock/emo scene and I was really invested in the music but never really learnt about all these allegations, it was in 2017 that I started seeing posts and tweets about different people but till this day there are "situations" that I don't really know or never understood in the scene. Could you maybe talk about Trapt's singer, Chris Taylor Brown? I've seen so many things about him but I don't know what happened...
I’ve met OM&M and they were all super nice. I hung out with Aaron for awhile specifically and he was just awesome. The only one who walked by everyone without saying one word was Austin. Not even a wave or anything. That always struck me as douchey but maybe he was feeling sick? Idk.. but the amount of people with accusations makes it hard not to believe them.
Might be random to say this, but aw, you meeting Aaron is awesome. He's one of my favorite singers. And hm, hope Austin just didn't feel well that day and some people don't like to talk that much either (I can relate) :(
@@Chizuru94 Aaron was a sweetheart and you could really tell how appreciative he is of his fans. We talked about aliens and a bunch of random stuff like that. Lol I can definitely relate though because I’m super introverted most of the time. It was just weird because the rest of the band was out talking to fans and he just walked by without acknowledging anyone.
I saw Austin before soundcheck and asked for a photo and he said I will be back. He literally came back about 30 mins later after soundcheck and took 10 mins or so to chat with me and let me get a photo. Never a shroud of douchey at any point either. I tried to chat with Mike from Prada at warped once and dude was walking like he was on a mission and I know he isn't a bad guy, they have certain places to be at certain times so it can be difficult.
What I don’t understand is why was Alternative Press deemed the ONLY way of getting these allegations out? Why was Johnathan not able to just share the allegations himself?! Definitely A LOT more to this story than what has been made public.
Holy shit. Good point. I wonder Johnathan thought the process and vetting would be less strenuous? Not for nefarious reasons; maybe he thought it would be easier on the victims?
Holy shit. Good point. I wonder Johnathan thought the process and vetting would be less strenuous? Not for nefarious reasons; maybe he thought it would be easier on the victims?
Now this is A+ journalism, just the way you present the facts and just how well-researched everything is. I've been a fan since your Radke video, keep it up my dude!
GODDDDD I was literally one of those girls on tumblr who went nuts over Austin, and hilariously enough Kellin and Oli too. Its so sad he didnt turn out to be as good of a person he was perceived to be, I used to want to meet him so bad
He wasn't very approachable back then anyway I think. I remember at Warped Tour once I was sitting next to a tent and my friend and I saw Austin walk past us and we, along with a bunch of other people, were all trying to say hi to him and he just ignored every person that he walked past lol
Back in the AA! days, they were like a huge family. The whole band and touring crew were friends from grade school. Both AA! and Beartooth consist of these same Ohio friends. So when the rumors were spreading around 2007-2011, we knew it was true. We knew all of these rumors as teenagers but it never shed light until 2020 which is crazy to me.
Love the way you break down the scenarios in all of your videos. I'd love to see one on Brand New I have no information on that case but Ive heard there were allegations so I'd love to see you cover that bands story
In my opinion if someone is constantly bringing up lawyers and threatening to sue as soon as a victim speaks out there’s a chance Austin could be guilty. It is suspicious along with 20 women speaking out about their SA experiences . Innocent people do not runaway from allegations only guilty people do.
no it doesn't. Bringing lawyers into any situation that involves an accusation (true or false) that is damaging to your career is just common sense. You don't sit on your hands and go well i know its false so surely the world will just believe me..
also assuming the accusations are false and Austin knows this i can understand why he'd be pissed off and make these threats. In this circumstance most people would feel the same way
@@transient442 I see you’re point that he could simply be pissed off about allegations that could ruin his career, but one of those accusers have to be telling the truth. As mentioned before in the video most accusers who do speak out don’t gain anything from it they’re risking a lot. They don’t get paid or get positive feedback for speaking out the accusers may came out about their experiences later on because it’s not easy for SA survivors to come out about their experiences, because of the emotional damage it has done to them or they realize that they were assaulted after the encounter they should be given a chance to see whether or not it’s true Austin prevents that from happening. If he faced the allegations the accusers will leave him alone .
@@lesliecartagena1292 my reply wasn't at all me defending Austin against the allegation, that's not even something i'm taking a stand on because i don't feel its right to do so. The only thing i was defending him on is his reaction to the AP article, and how his reaction doesn't assume guilt in the slightest. Like if hypothetically he truly was innocent i don't think his response to that situation would change either way.

I was always skeptical about these guys in the warped tour scene, always was annoyed with fangirls gushing over the guys in bands coz i always thought of the possibility of predatory behavior they hide
Literally the reason why ( even though I was 8 I was aware of the scene era not to mention rock bands but for some reason I wasn’t interested, I think I dodged a bullet) I never really stepped into the rock scene for some reason, I always got a bad vibe whenever I saw grown ass men hanging out with underage girls, I never really understood why, I remember vividly my cousin ( who was 16-17 at the time) showed me interview or songs and I asked her “ why are kids my age alone with guys who are older” and she just said “ their parents are there with them” knowing damn well in my gut that was bullshit, I forever will never know why managers of bands thought it was a good idea to have underage fans hang out with people two time’s their age
20 women seems like way too many for it to be just for "clout" or whatever. And Attack Attack waiting to say something because of the other members of OM&M seems genuine to me too. I could be stupid, but I feel like if they were in a mindset to just destroy Austin's reputation, they wouldn't have had the mindset of the others since that's such a nasty thing to do. I don't know. But those 20+ women...that's too many. This is so disappointing.
When there’s like 20+ women accusing one man of something it’s the def the type of situation where either the guy 100% did it or that’s just SO many woman it became trendy to be a “victim” of his… seeing the way he is now I personally feel like it was def a trend to wanna “be his victim” but that also isn’t to say maybe it stemmed from one maybe two girls who weren’t necessarily r***d but might’ve looked back at the situation and thought “hm these weren’t the best circumstances”…
Yeah my thoughts exactly. And I hate to say it, as someone who has experienced SA multiple times myself.... but there are a lot of cases of women (or men) not being truthful when making these accusations. Especially when you take into consideration that these allegations came out *after* AA made statements alluding to it. We'll probably never get anything conclusive regarding it one way or another. Shitty either way you look at it - either dozens of women aren't getting justice that they deserve or someone's getting accused of things they didn't do. Lose/lose.
Not everyone knew about the AA post. I knew that they hated him, I knew about the AC-130 song, I didn't know why they hated him. Also, I don't know if it's been wiped from the internet, but there was a picture of him with a group of very young looking girls in their bras and underwear, this was a long time ago.
since when is it trendy to lie about being violated? in the VERY rare cased people lie about this, they are mentally ill and put on revenge. y'all need to fucking wake up an realizr what awful world we live in. i thought i was 'lucky' i did not experience sa until i grew up and years later i actually realized it happened right in my own relationship i was worshiping. sa is real and unfortunately almost everywhere and YOU need to do better and believe the victims.
@@h3avenscent Sorry, I replied last week but must have been flagged for a link I put in there. So the most common percentage put out there is anywhere between 4-10%. That doesn't look big when looking at the whole picture but that is A LOT innocent people being falsely accused of something they didn't do. There are additional cases of DA's and people in law enforcement stating that within their district, it was upwards of 40%. The main reasons people falsely accuse is, including what you said but also, mental illness, revenge, vindictiveness, attention seeking, regret, etc. Then you also have unintentional reasons like false memories. I'm not sitting here saying the accusations are true or false. I think everyone needs to use their own discernment when researching all the information out there. Personally, I will never sit and point the finger and say "yup - definitely guilty" unless proven guilty because that's dangerous territory too. Will I sit and think to myself "yeah, that's probably true"? Absolutely. But false allegations can ruin the lives of those accused and their loved ones. I am a huge advocate for justice for victims. I think SA is just about the worst crime to exist. It doesn't get any more evil than harming the innocent. But if there are really that many people who are degenerate enough to stoop to SA'ing someone, you can't put it past others to lie. Everyone lies, just to what extent. Evils can exist on both sides of this topic. There is a reason societally we stand by innocent until proven guilty. I would also like to add that I started this by saying I've experienced SA a couple of times in my life. I do not expect the world to believe me; I failed myself and maybe even others by not going after those who hurt me when I was younger because I felt like it was my fault. But I won't sit here and *expect* everyone to believe I'm being truthful just because I said it happened. That's the hard reality of things. We need to get better, as humans, to teach those who are young what SA is and feel confident in telling those they can and trust, so the evil people performing these acts can be dealt with. I know we disagree here but I wish you nothing but the best.
I am loving this series dude!! Definitely got me to subscribe too. I grew up going to warped tour yearly, and didn't know about the majority of this shit.

This story is extremely hard to figure out what truly took place. It seems like something is their, but nothing ever really came out. I know that this isn't the main subject but I am kind of suprised you didn't bring up the Landon Tewers beef. I don't personally know how Landon feels about this subject today, but that tiff got really volatile. The All time low allegations would be an interesting one to talk about. Because on one hand apparently there are MULTIPLE allegations against the guitarist Jack and just a lot of weird videos of the band resurfacing like them having crowds of mostly underage girls throw there bras at them and they would literally keep them and hang them on there bus. Plus a lot of women have stories of the band (mostly Jack) being really wired and coming off as creepy towards them when meeting them. But on the other hand the band have treated the allegations very seriously denying them almost immediately and even going so far as to suing some of the accusers
They can deny it all they want, but videos, pictures, the internet are forever. He signed a 14 year old girl's boob. There is picture and video evidence of the bra collection that they kept on their tour trailer. There's also the fact that when I was 15, Jack made a joke about masturbating, during their show, and I guarantee most of us were underage and he knew it.

Even met the former guitarist from Pvris (he's been kicked out because of SA allegations) and spent around an hour with him on a group guitar lesson. I stand with the vicitms

This whole story was a "I was there man" moment for me. I remember seeing every post and statement as it came out but the only one I missed was the AP statement about them not having enough info to go on to make a story. I remember Austin making a post on Facebook about how none of it was true and he was gonna sue AP if they published the article and I thought that was the end of it.
So I lived at a pretty greasy reheasal studio in San Diego for about a year. Some bigger acts would come and stay there because we had a lot of rooms and we were always partying. of Mice and Men stayed there for a couple weeks and tons of chicks would show up to party (plenty underaged). I remember OMAMs merch guy giving some girls crushed up drywall saying it was coke and watched them snort it. He and another member of the band (idr who, not Austin) took some underaged girls to a loft we had and hooked up with them. Thats just the one night I partook. Lord knows what else happened. Austin seemed normal and nice, i went to get food with him on multiple occasions and he was always very respectful. but you never know.
Back in like 2013 when I was in high school some girl in my class was bragging about sleeping with Austin. I didn’t really believe her then, but now I’m not so sure
My two cents as a journalist (music, gov., local news, etc.) When we publish allegations, its because we're pretty sure they're true. We've verified the dates, the stories, the witnesses, we've done out own independent research. Remember, we have to be willing to stake our careers on this being true. Yes, there are legal protections if we make mistakes or false claims that weren't in bad faith, but fee people see corrections after the initial publication. It kills careers, as well as the reputation of the accused and the publication. So why do we not treat things as 100% factual in our reporting, even if we are certain they are? Because it's not factual by industry standards until there is a conviction. The only exception would be if this were a personal narrative or an opinion piece. That way it's all on me and the publication has some denianility. This is sensitive subject matter. But based on APs reaction and the lack of any whistleblowers coming forward (especially during me too) or any industry whispers, I'm gonna have to trust AP on this one. Edit: And just to add, that's not to say A.C. wasn't a total scumbag. The descriptions sound like textbook depression and addiction behaviors. But it's not enough to run a child predator story.
You should look into the plot in you side of this too. I know the song digging your grave was going to be named YDG’n your grave before it was changed. And premeditated was written about Austin as well.
This is the best video of this so far. The Austin stuff was massive news at the time it happened, he was the poster boy and it just seemingly faded out. Great video watched a few now and want to see more 🖤
When you think about the power dynamic between a young girl and the lead vocalist of a massive band then it's obvious that there would and could be an abuse of power aspect. I'm guessing that in the history of music there have been thousands of times where individuals would be coaxed into sexual favours by someone far more powerful and influential to the point where they feel like they couldn't say no. That's one way to look at it but it could also be simply that Austin is just a massive creep and forced himself on women. Both options are sad and awful
Oh yeah. The Rolling Stones literally have a song about sleeping with an underaged fan. There's definitely a history of band members using their power to sleep with fans under age and of age.

Yea any band that markets themselves to teenagers needs to be looked into

There were countless stories about him being extremely shitty towards fans too. I'm very much glad hes no longer in the scene
It's hard when 10-12 years after falling in love with a music scene, you start seeing filth be uncovered and revealed.
My father went through AA and I have found that he does not take any accountability for things that he did while an active alcoholic. So Austin could be shielding himself with a more “born again” or “new man” defense.
@@PapaRikkiBalls so you were a shit person as a teenager that harmed others.... what's your point?
@Devil Bird Yeah, I see what you’re saying and the analogy you used is helpful. It really does make it difficult to have the conversations that would heal our relationship though.

A lot of predatory people in the scene. Always was.
I think it’s unfair to judge a band by the actions of only one of the members

Considering the hell survivors get put through, especially by the fanbase (when it's someone famous), this isn't necessarily the case.
since when is it trendy to lie about being violated? in the VERY rare cased people lie about this, they are mentally ill and put on revenge. y'all need to fucking wake up an realizr what awful world we live in. i thought i was 'lucky' i did not experience sa until i grew up and years later i actually realized it happened right in my own relationship i was worshiping. sa is real and unfortunately almost everywhere and YOU need to do better and believe the victims.
GUYS WAKE UP FXK NATE POSTED
Thank you for covering this story. I remember at the time being on Twitter and seeing AP post an article praising Austin Carlile like others have stated. Keep up the great content!
I saw mice of men beofre Austin left, first show i crowd surged. It sucks that overtime. I keep learning that a lot of the bands that I had a lot of good memories with her now associated with bad people because of the people in the bands like it sucks but there’s nothing that we could do and as a supporter of an artist, you either support them or you don’t and sometimes there is a certain people that you just do not want to support anymore
your channel is amazing, mans gonna have 753k subs by the end of the year, im calling it
I remember seeing a ton of these warped dudes on Stickam as well, that alone is a rabbit hole of alt internet lore lol (John Hock should totally have his own video he "A" worded a girl live on Stickam)
I've met Austin and a couple of these band dudes youve made videos on, even have friends who are now in said bands and some friends married to band dudes (not the ones being accused of course) I was heavy in this scene from 2007-2014 these rumors (and more) have been going around for AGES. Surreal to hear all this again but also good on you Nate!
Keep it up!
Such deserved channel growth of FXK Nate. I’m lovin this channel more and more with every new video.
This has been a good series so far. And you got good comedic timing on your sponsored intros
WOW this channel multiplied in size since I last watched. Awesome to see. Keep up the great work dude, love the way you present your content and they editing is hilarious
thank u :) I appreciate that so much
This series has been very interesting with these unknown individuals.
Keep it up against Dahvie. Out of all these guys, he’s definitely guilty lmao
holy shit man thank you for bringing up so many nostalgic stories from my emo days! love your content!
Great content my man. Hope to see more of the music scene stories 🔥
hey man really love your channel. Literally everything you talk about is what i used to be obssesed with in elementary and middle school so its kind of wild to see what happened in the scene. Bro that Bryanstarrzz vid had me thinking for days i used watch all day. anyways thanks for the content keep it up man. Also bro you look EXACTLLY like Ben Duerr, the vocalist for Shadow Of Intent and thats fucking sick.
thanks dude! glad you enjoy the content!
no way! i was just reading up on Austin yesterday very randomly and then you upload this. crazy coincidence
loving these videos so much theres so much stuff going on in the scene that no one talks abt im glad that ur spreading awarness
The Plot In You made a song called "Digging Your Grave" that was directed towards Austin and it stems from the animosity Landon had towards seeing Austin's abuse first hand.
Edit: great vid. Keep it up brudah.
I didnt even know about that but I've seen some ppl bring it up, I'll look into it for sure
@@FXKNate im not sure if Landon was refering to his abuse of women or if it was him just being shitty to tour around with, but their was some bad blood back in the day.
@@Dont.Call.Me.Tall. I really enjoy Landon's music (solo and band) but I could also see Landon being not the greatest to be around either (if that's what he's referring to and not abuse). He reads as arrogant or used to be.
@@thecreatedvoid117 i can absolutely see that as well. It's just another reason why this story is so hard to get a clear picture of.
i found your channel yesterday and have genuinely binge watched all your stuff. this series is so interesting and well put together, fuckin obsessed man!
I've heard from other Performers that Austin was rude and was an ass, But I find it weird that theres No actual stories, just 2ppl who claim there are 20+ victims but No stories from the 20+?? No police reports, no lawsuits, so Its difficult to know the truth. Unfortunately until someone actually steps forward and makes their story public, all we can do is speculate! Great Story btw!
That’s what I’m saying that there was supposedly 20 women but when Ap asked they somehow vanished it seems off to me
I've been watching a lot of your videos on these warped tour bands/notable people and they are so good. Bands that I've put to the back of my mind over the last 10 years or so. But my god, there are so many more bands and people that I'd love to hear your insight on. Great stuff man, keep it up!
I mean allegations might as well be facts in the eyes of the Mob
These videos are so insightful man, thanks for making them. Back when all of this was going on I was too young to comprehend everything properly.
Killer video as always man! I'm really glad that your channel is growing alot!
Me too! thanks so much :)
Great video. Maybe you can do one on Neck Deeps old guitar player Lloyd. I don't know if there's much known about his departure
Even look at the lyrics to six feet under the stars, and the fact that their music still sounds like it's for teenage girls (their target audience).
@@Lettheflamesbeginx3 aperently a person I knew that was in there server was talking about how the band members in the discord server would allowed predators and be creepy but I don't exactly remember
@@Lettheflamesbeginx3 I never once said I believed them. They come off as huge creeps to me
I never wanted to believe it was true, but I vaguely remembered ATL or just Alex posting a pic of Jack covering his part. I don’t remember all the details since I was a teenager in shock, but it was all over Tumblr. I also believe the allegations are true or make sense at least since Jack dated Abigail Breslin when she was 17.
The Flood was one of the first CD’s I had gotten after receiving a stereo set from my parents for Christmas. I liked the music a lot but with all of the allegations, the way he just vanished afterwards and some lyrics in his music lead me to believe something’s up, repeating apologies has a whole different ring to it when you listen to it with some of the allegations in mind
Wow you’re right. I just listened to it again for the first time in a long time and it made me sick to my stomach :( ugh…. I hope he is found guilty and faces time
Awesome job Nate! ❤ I was looking forward to watching this all day!
I just binge watched you this morning and I’m so happy that you made a new video already. Lmao. One thing about your Bryan Stars video, you forgot to mention that he started to make and release music.
I did bring it up, right before talking about the MDE tour! glad you're enjoying the content!
What about one on CJ Mccreery? Hes not THAt big of a musician unless you are into that scene, but itd be interesting to watch as there isnt much out there on the situation
I was just about to comment this. That situation confused me when it happened. Definitely another weird story
@@itsjustpixel8677 right! I'm kinda in the middle to be honest. I think they are both liars/exaggerated the truth to an extent and it ruined it. I believe he's sorta a shitty person to a degree though, he just gives me that vibe for some reason. I could be wrong though. His vocals are killer unfortunately and I can't help but still listen to the tunes. I don't get why people have to choose between him or Will. They're both great and both bands (well CJs are just stalling at this point) deserve success
@@XRingsofCaturnI mean considering his texts with racial slurs, among other things...
You’re impressive my dude! Great, compelling videos, already securing sponsorships….it’ll be exciting to see where your channel is a year from now!
thanks you dude!
5:05 i actually was on their myspace the night this blog post was posted. the end of it originally said "austin we know you're reading this. you're better off dead"
but they changed the last line to "no respect" instead when the comments weren't very nice about that part lol
that would make sense since ive heard ac-130 is about austin, and they say "you're better off dead" at the end
@@FXKNate That post was even before that song came out tho. when it did get released I knew it was about him solely from that line alone
also it's worth noting a lot of the comments on the post were mostly in favor of austin, and kids were talking shit on attack attack!. crazy how the times have changed. you say this same stuff about anyone now you will always have support in your favor these days. wasn't like that back then
@@SuffocateMe yeah im assuming they refrenced it in the song
@@SuffocateMeDepends, Tilian from DGD has multiple allegations against him, but 99.9 % of what I see, are his stupid a** fans idolizinf him. Their fanbase is terrifying.
I’m so involved in this series! Your quickly becoming my favorite CZcamsr. Have u checked out the riff raff allegations, or the trace Cyrus story about “seventeen forever” not sure if these were during when they attended warped tour, but still interesting stuff
I went to a few warped tour back in the day and thankfully never came across something weird. Met a lot of respectful band members and artists, however that doesn't mean they're perfect. Even met the former guitarist from Pvris (he's been kicked out because of SA allegations) and spent around an hour with him on a group guitar lesson. I stand with the vicitms
hype !!!!! new fxk nate drop!!! really loving this series , you do such diligent research every time & its always super enjoyable to click on a vid of yours!!
thank u :)
Keep up the great work. It is so amazing watching this channel grow from where it was when I came across it!!! Much love
Was it Alan Ashby?
@@Lettheflamesbeginx3 yes
Honestly one of my new favorite channels, thanks for your input!!
thank you so much
Back in like 2013 when I was in high school some girl in my class was bragging about sleeping with Austin. I didn’t really believe her then, but now I’m not so sure
My two cents as a journalist (music, gov., local news, etc.)
When we publish allegations, its because we're pretty sure they're true.
Wow this is so interesting. I’d like to see a video on Tilian Pearson next
Loving this series’s, keep going with it 🤘🤘
