JJ gets alot of hate & I don't know why. I watched every snap he took at Michigan & this young man is the real deal. He didn't put up monster numbers but that's because he played in a system that didn't require him to. But when he was needed he stepped up. You don't get to 28-1 as a starting QB if you're not good regardless of the system you play in.

McCarthy was lit, Bo Nick's overthrew a more passes the McCarthy did, McCarthy had a couple of pass attempts where the actual receiver should have caught those, other than that there were zero miscues - to Michigan's after the fact credit, Joe Milton was on point.
Bo nix was bringing up the rear, he has several missed pass attempts

Already making excuses lol. Kidding.. this guy is fine and he’ll be good for a team because whatever he’s lacking talent wise is made up for with his mentality. Coachable and does what’s necessary in the big moments. Bo Nix I’d say is above him talent wise but he definitely choked under pressure in college. McCarthy is like Purdy and people seem to already be treating him with the love and hate that Brock gets. McCarthy, Nix, and Penix will prob go to the Vikings, giants, and raiders. Penix the clear standout of them to me. Him and Justin Jefferson would be awesome. Or Davonte Adams. As a chiefs fan I hate that but it would be electric

@@neilburgess627 no, that's just you saying that... Brock Huard, Joel Klatt, Boomer Esiason and Colin Cowherd have all confessed they underrated McCarthy, and now BASED ON WHAT THE ACTUAL FOOTAGE REVEALS FROM BOTH SEGMENTS OF THE COMBINE....
Put McCarthy where it's fair to have him, because he earned it... top 5 - top 10 in the first round.

This guy is not a first round QB, he can be in the NFL, but i'm sorry, if anyone watched his whole college career, he's a 3rd - 4th round pick AT BEST. He didnt not play well at all before last season and last season was "ok", and that was with Jim Harbaugh as his coach, the guy who made colin kapperknickle look like a starting QB. He should feel very blessed if he goes before the 4th round.

He lacked touch and feel on a lot of his throws in games. Definitely can sling it. Reminds me of young Matt Stafford, minus the touch, in that they both forced way too many throws because they have cannons. He easily could’ve had 3x the amount of INT in college, because he forces into tight windows that he shouldn’t. Could have used another year, but his stock was probably at its zenith That said, with more in game reps, he could be a force. Sleeper, especially if he goes later in the first to a team with an o- line and stable staff.

JJ is a tight window passer and I feel he is so used to threading the needle and having to hit the receiver perfectly in the chest away from a defender to the point he is a little afraid or not that experienced in leading the ball so the receiver can stay in stride. He is very good at keeping the ball away from defenders on 50/50 balls and short-medium lobs. Not saying he’s bad at all but I just don’t expect him to be start hot I bet in 4-5 years he’ll be a qb like burrow. Guess it depends what team he gets drafted to and depends on their o line and his targets.
