The World Ark is something between a gate, station, and titan. It has a special drive that allows it to travel to and from Abyssal Deadspace and "Known Space" at will, and appears every few hours at the central system in Triglavian Invasions, which can occur in both High and Low security space. The Triglavian Collective is well versed in space-time manipulation, the World Ark is their solution for transporting an incredible amount of their forces out of Abyssal Dead Space to the New Eden Cluster.

  • @Mega1russell
    @Mega1russell Před 5 lety +153

The World Ark is far from the largest ship. In the lore there are 5 types of Titan that are larger, these are the Iapetian Titans, that are 100s of kilometers long, with large enough mass to affect tides of planets and take the resources of entire planets to construct. The Iapetian Titans were the original generation one titans, with titans available in game being the more common generation two titans. The Amarrians built the first one based off of a Jovian mothership they acquired and then built another two in a different design, one of which was stolen by King Khanid, when the Khanid Kingdom became independent of the Amarr Empire, who built themselves a replacement. Minmatar also have a design with at least one having been constructed, The Caldari have a couple of their own design. The Gallente have a couple of which one was stolen by the Serpentis pirates as part of an in game event, this being the only time when one has been seen in game. (As far as I am aware)
    Approximate Quantities:
    Amarr:
    Design 1 = 1
    Design 2 = 3+
    Minmatar
    Design 1 = 1-2+
    Caldari
    Design 1 = 2-3+
    Gallente
    Design 1 = 2-3+
    Khanid
    A Design 2 = 1
    Sperpentis

The realistic problem with building such a large ship is that ships are never large just for the heck of it. They're large cause they have to be large. An aircraft carrier (a real life one, not an EVE aircraft carrier) has to be the size it is to allow space for a flight deck. A battleship is as big as it is to carry all the guns it needs. So it's good to see that they actually gave a reason for why these ships are so large.

The universe in EvE isn't called New Eden. That's just the name of the galactic region most of the game is in. Wormhole space is outside the New Eden cluster, in a region called Anoikis. It always ticks me off when people refer to New Eden on a universal scale, as as it stands New Eden is a fraction of a galaxy, which is a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of the universe. Btw it's technically just a fictional version of our universe. Humans got to wherever New Eden is from the Milky Way after all.

Later as you learn you may decide to be a PvP militia pilot, advanced miner or industrial tycoon, triglavian fighter, and or move out to lowsec space where you'll fight a lot, nullsec space which is owned and defended by player alliances, or remote systems only accessible by wormholes. Or even scam or steal things from other gullible players. You may someday even command dozens, hundreds, even thousands of other players. I know your comment is three month old and his answer one month old, but basically, just don't listen to anything this "Benjamin Clardy" typed.
As someone who is playing MMORPG since 11 years now, and particulary EVE for a few months, I can assure you that anybody pretending that the EVE community are "the worst people you can find in any online video game ever made" is a pure troll, or someone who had a problem with a particular player/Alliance and is not mature enough to understand that this was a particular case and get over it.
As for the game being "boring after a few weeks", well, EVE has a very special gameplay that you won't find anywhere else, so it's hard to tell.
But since it's free to play, my personnal advice would be to not bother judging the game based on CZcams comments, but actually download it and try it, then see for yourself.

Anyway, giving a try to EVE nowadays cost nothing more than the patience for a 8GB download, so yes I will keep being me and keep saying that it would be pure stupidity not to try it to see by himself.

In the lore of EVE Online, the first generation of Titans known as Iapetan Titans are the pinnacle of military force, each taking a planet's worth of material to construct. The Amarr Empire constructed the largest Titan of any other faction.
They existed physically in the game in 2006, as part of an event where the Serpentis stole the Gallente Solteur-class titan. It still resides in Serpentis Prime somewhere. The Amarr Empire's Imud Hubrau, dwarfs Titans like Titans dwarf frigates.
These ancient ships will likely never be made available to the players as the cost of construction is a burden on the entire empire that creates it. For a large corporation to construct it, it would take the resources of thousands of Titans.
I think it would be a fantastic addition to keep expanding the ships from Titans, adding constructible Iapetan Titans would be the endgame for the largest of corporations and I imagine the skills to use something like that would be, immense.
I have my doubts on whether this will be made available to players, being twice as large as any modern Titan, I imagine if they did they'd have to balance it while giving it some type of new ability, like a constant gate to bring fleet members over.
