We stayed over night in Lake of the Clouds Hut. North to South bound, point to point hike. Started at Appalachia Trailhead and ended at Webster-Jackson Trailhead.
July 2022.

what smart watch is that? is it for hiking? does it track well?
I’m wearing a Garmin Fenix 6S! It’s a multi sport watch, and I wear it for everyday too. Great for hiking, running, biking, and a whole range of activities. Tracks pretty well - I like to use it for mileage and elevation gain!
Did you really spend $300 each to stay in the hut? Maybe bring a tent, and a stove?

There are many dogs on the trails, but the huts do not allow dogs.
These are major climbs, it really depends on the level of your dog's experience
