Also, I noticed with the scooter off the ground if you turn it on and hold one wheel the other wheel turns at a normal speed. Let go of the wheel and it's back to that super slow speed again. Hi, Re - bi weekly charging when scooter is put away , in shed over winter. What would you recommend for charging intervals when using every day. I realize continued use will eventually flatten battery and it would require charging to keep going, but is charging daily, an overkill and detrimental to the battery, or should it be charged every alternate day or each third day or something?
help. new battery. charged and full empty as suggested for new battery.. trying to charge again and the green light was on charger instantly... left for 20 hrs charging but chair controller says battery still empty?? if i plug charger directly into the controller port both charger lights are red... plug charger direct to battery pack and the on light is red and the charging light green. is there a problem?
We have the GoGo Ultra X scooter.....last time we flew on vacation, the console was somehow damaged. It's a 2 part assembly - the top half is simple to replace - you remove 4 screws from the bottom and the top lifts off. The bottom half is another story. It has a hole in the middle, allowing the unit to slide over the vertical part of the tiller assembly. But there is wiring harness that prevents removal of the shroud. I can't find the other end of the wiring harness - it would probably be fairly easy to replace the shroud if I could find it. Any ideas on this problem or where I might find a service manual? I've spent hours online without success. Thanks - Ken

I turn it on and all lights show up but then it just flashes 2 yellow lights repeatedly and doesn't move at all. does anyone know how to snap the vinyl seat cover together. we can't stretch the cover enough to get the two snaps that are on the upper cover and under cover straps to meet and engage.
One other problem I noticed on a different model, is if you have the lock in the unlock position which disables the scooter from running, and then flip it back to the locked position the problem will still persist unless you turn the key switch off and on again while your it's in the locked position.

If you have a removable battery box then you simply need to turn the "lock/unlock" knob several times, making certain that you leave it in the licked position.Try this and get back to me with the result. We will get this problem sorted between us, at little or no cost.
I have a Pride Celebrity X. While traveling the batteries and cables fell out while hitting bad bumps. Is there any reasonable place to get the cables, right now I am getting a price of $129 each.
I store my Go Go In my Shed- but Keep the Battery Box in my heated Gargae and pluged into my Charger, but its on a Timer- set to go n for 2 hrs a week during the winter..Just Like we do with our Boat Batteries- My Fist new Batteries came with it, lasted 3 full Seasons, this is my 2nd Set of Batteries I bought for $120 in its 2nd Season..I expect it to last at least 3 seasons if not longer..( But My Season is only from May- Oct 15th..Fal Comes and gets too cold and I leave for Fla in Nov..I have a Scooter down there that is the same and its in its 2nd season comming up with its 2n set of batteries.. Best of Luck--These Untis are Built In Planned Abosolescance.. and Most dealers only want to Sell you new one's..Its a Lousy way co.'s pay them enough to stay in business..
I have a Pride Gogo Traveler and cannot remove the seat. We bought another used one and have the same problem. Any suggestions on how to get these seats off?
First, if your chair has armrests remove them. This will make the chair lighter. Then fold the seatback down. Next, stand behind the scooter and grasp the seat, one hand on each side of the seat and quickly rotate/wiggle the seat clockwise/counterclockwise while at the same time pulling up on the seat. This works for me.
have gell batteries . went away for 8 months. LEFT IT in my garage battery fully charged. upon return CHARGE INDICATOR SHOWED 100% fORTRESS 2000 scooter. was not on trickle charger either. would be pertinate ? if you had mentioned WHAT type of battery you were talking about.
I hope you see this soon, I drove into some rocks with the right rear wheel, and got stuck, so after a couple of tries to drive out, I put it in neutral and pushed it out, then I put it back in gear and it beeps five times and won't work. :( I had to push it all the way home. I took the key out, I put it back into drive position and it still beeps five times, thanks. This is my only transportation.

lead acid batterys last up to 15 years if kept charged...but some will only a couple of deep discharge cycles....keep them charged..with the correct charger after each use for maximum life.
I guess I got real lucky....I didn't charge my scooter all (Minnesota) winter long, but I got it out about 3 weeks ago, charged it up and she's going just fine! I won't be doing that again, though!

Hi, I have a similar scooter a GoGo Elite Traveler Plus made in 2009. I'm really frustrated. I did go on YT and watched your video and others. Seemed like it was the brake assembly. Purchased one online and I put it on, no change under similar situation, did the same thing so I sent it back. So I do know what it is NOT. lol. I bought it for $75 and it needed batteries. Bought new. It ran GREAT for 2 weeks. Took it on short trips around town and longer ones. Then one day it took me out of my parking lot and when it started going down hill it beeped stopped and started to roll slowly. Good they don't roll well with the key on! When I pushed it to turn it around it would go for a few yards and stop. I got it back up the hill and when it started down the parking lot it did it over and over till I just had to push it home. It was beeping but it was beeping like mad. 2 different types of beeping and it was hard to count them. Also the gauge was swinging back and forth from all the way on to all the way off, back and forth like a windshield wiper. So I said all that to ask, if it isn't the brake assembly, what do you think I can try. No one in my area will even look at it because of the age and they are all backed up with customers.
If the scooter will not be used for awhile, just pull the plug on the batteries to eliminate parasitic current draw; good AGM batteries will retain charge for more than a year and still test 12.35V or higher.
I have Several Issues with mobility scooters. # 4mp is just not enough for outdoor applications #2 the wheels are small it jerks at every little bump. #3 Its length should be able to be extended. #4 the positioning of the seat is too high. I often... after falling just can't get myself raised high enough to get in the seat no matter how low. #5 It seems designed to make folks Look like I valids. The seat needs to recline more. For a more natural appearance. (Except the high end ones) #6. I cannot ride them long distance. It hurts my back and neck. @ 4MPH that makes it worse. Of course, this means I require a special needs scooter.
If you follow instructions that come with your scooter, including charging and replacing batteries when needed, you should have few problems. If you are not able to troubleshoot or work on your scooter, find an honest scooter repair service and get help. Often, people just need advice.
mines can't be fixed the part where back and forth go can't open the cover even when all the crews are out it beeps 9times after hitting a small bump and dies

Red light won’t come on when charging. Put new battery in and charged. The red light still does not come on. The lights on dial show need for charge, charge does not change them.
I got 3 Seasons( Live in Wi) then waited till March and ordered 2 New, 20ah vs 18ah thru WALMART for $86 for the 2 of them.They have Lithium for Cars and Everything else why not for the Scooters and Toy Cars, etc..?And I need 2 Scooters, 1-3wheeler for my Car whn I go oukt and the other , a HD 4 wheeler to ride around the Neighborhood and to TOW my ROYBOI thru the Home Depot 3 yrs ago = CELM( CordelessElecLawnMower) vs a PIA to take it apart and put it in my Car, etc and Am Handicapped with Terrible Back issues..( and a Lift or Trailer will work but another PIA..
3 - 5 years? Seriously! I ride my scooter almost everyday and use up almost all the battery power. I charge it overnight every night. The batteries seem to last about 3 -4 months.
Charge the batt every two week.........those are very low...low quality batt for the price of those scooters.....they need to upgrade to a lithium batt for the same price.
your only charge batteries every 2 weeks,your going to need more than overnight charge,on a trickle charger you need a lot more hours these are not car batteries,these are gel cell batteries.takes a long slow charge.prove me wrong

Having problem with SOLAX scooter ‘tiller’ wobble - was repaired (tightened tiller something). Is there a factory retrofit for this problem????

Thats not a fault. Most mobility scooters are designed that way. Check your user manual.

My kimco cuts out on hills now n then batt are full and when on a straight run goes without a problem enyone no owt ?

my pride mobilitie scooter batter is 12.13 is it weak cause the batter was red and died and never worked for a month wont even turn on

charge batteries for 12 hours they last for years if they got used regurlary
3-5 yrs. for a battery ? The tech fast sold me my battery said 6 mo.
I got 3 Seasons( Live in Wi) then waited till March and ordered 2 New, 20ah vs 18ah thru WALMART for $86 for the 2 of them.They have Lithium for Cars and Everything else why not for the Scooters and Toy Cars, etc..?And I need 2 Scooters, 1-3wheeler for my Car whn I go oukt and the other , a HD 4 wheeler to ride around the Neighborhood and to TOW my ROYBOI thru the Home Depot 3 yrs ago = CELM( CordelessElecLawnMower) vs a PIA to take it apart and put it in my Car, etc and Am Handicapped with Terrible Back issues..( and a Lift or Trailer will work but another PIA..
3 - 5 years? Seriously! I ride my scooter almost everyday and use up almost all the battery power. I charge it overnight every night. The batteries seem to last about 3 -4 months.
I am optimistic you just save me a couple $100. I am going to go home and test this theory

Charge the batt every two week.........those are very low...low quality batt for the price of those scooters.....they need to upgrade to a lithium batt for the same price.
your only charge batteries every 2 weeks,your going to need more than overnight charge,on a trickle charger you need a lot more hours these are not car batteries,these are gel cell batteries.takes a long slow charge.prove me wrong
