In this video we record a SSB CQ and configure N1MM to play it back using a macro, triggered by an F key.

What a great video on n1mm! There needs to be more videos on n1mm!
YES!!!!
Kyle - outstanding and good info. Been using this feature of N1MM+ for years. Thanks
Awesome! Thanks for watching!
Great Scott, this was so complicated to accomplish such a simple task. I’ll wait until the next version of this. There has to be a better way.. But, thanks Kyle for the great description, on how you did it..
Totally agree. I wish there was a simpler way!!!!
In my best Homer Simpson voice imitation: “Could you repeat the things you said about the stuff?”
Ugh…computer stuff!
Great video Kyle…no one has ever showed me how to get the macros to work. I’ve tried..and given up! Not sure what I was doing wrong. I’ll follow your steps to see if it works for me. 73
Hope this video is helpful!
Great tutorial Kyle. I would add that Audacity (and nearly all the other audio editors) allow you to add compression, clipping, noise gate and EQ to the file. These are superb tools that can really punch up your audio. Just be sure that it's not too excessive or out of the 3KHz bandwidth. 73 OM
Great points!
That’s exactly what I do. Band pass, EQ, and compress. Then I answer with my real voice and the extra 4dB is lost 😂
Great information thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
There is a msg recording feature in N1NM also right?
Correct. I've never gotten it to work with my setup. Plus there is post editing audio processing on that recording.
I've tried this but I dont know how to transmit it to my radio in ssb mode when I use ptt mic on ssb phone contest. I have already used CAT cable to my radio and also audio interface.
Any suggestion?
Hard telling with the info you gave. I would suggest digging into the n1mm documentation for your radio.
@@AA0Z i use vertex system 600 btw. I have tried using wav in n1mm. It works when testing but I still do not know how to transmit it via my radio when i have contest. When i push ptt in my mic and i click the F1, for example, nothing is transmitted in my radio.
