Hi Scott. Thank you for saving me over $200! I bought these little air bags at Fleetsmart for $53 each. OEMs were $92 at the dealer and TA. It took me just 20 minutes to change them both! One shop in Denver would have charged me $200 an hour. The TA would have been cheaper, but I still would have ended up spending over $300 total.
The only thing bad about your videos is that you have a 2007 Columbia, instead of a 2009 like mine! 😁

Thanks Scott I followed your video step by step, tools, and all. I did put my bottle on the ground and had a 3ft 2 by 4 to sit on top and reach frame. Had alot of room to work with. Really appreciate your sacrifice to make your knowledge available.

@@Starkeyfamilyfixing Your welcome Sir. Now down in Nashville waiting on FEMA load. About to get off into the middle section of ABS air valve. Then on to the Air Dryer Reservoir. Than I should be leak free. Stay blessed

truuuKing 337 just remember you going to have many break downs , no matter what brand truck you have . I hear it all the time a certain brand is the best lol 😂. There is no best , you can get the same engines in any brand , any transmission, ect . All your paying for is a different cab , and possibly a different suspension. Otherwise it’s pretty much the same .

My new air bag is installed and working great thanks to you. I am over the brands and I agree. I have a 2007 freightliner class flat top half cab. She is great. Need some paint she is not very pretty but she gets the job done. I am happy with her.

Thank you very much. Did the process 15 years ago..have to do it again now but forgot details. By the way, a 2 ton low profile jack or trolley jack will do the job.

If I am home I would use a bottle jack , but most generally it’s on the road , so I wanted to show how to do the job at the side of the road if needed .Not everyone carries a jack .

USMC Vet I am glad my video helped you ! I do these videos to show the truth on my job of being an owner operator. Through the good times of working , and the bad times of break downs .

Great video! Thanks. I am doing one right now and the stupid hose just doesn't want to come off from the old air bag. 😭🤬. I am pushing hard on the connector, but nothing happens

In those situations what’s happened most likely is the fitting has wore a groove into the airline so that’s why it’s not releasing , if you can run an ac cord to you truck with a hair dryer , you can heat everything up making the airline softer . This may allow it to release .

@@Starkeyfamilyfixing thank you very much for your assistance. I was thinking about just cutting the air line, but I wasn't sure if I had enough hose left

Hey Scott, how are you? Your Video was very detailing. I just Changed one of my sleeper airbags, it took me about 75 minutes. The whole time I was struggle to removed it because I didn't Jack it up enough. Wish I had saw your video before that. Anyways keep up the good work. JD

Oh wow , air bags can be simple or a pain . I have had to change them in very hot weather in the sun , when it’s cold . Sometimes you get lucky , sometimes you are cursing the day you got your cdl’s .....
