    You don't need to replace the whole thing if you have a leaking quick connect it's the o ring. Remove the hose pull off the quick connect button with a pair of needle nose and use a pick tool to remove the o ring behind it and put in a new o ring then push the quick connect back on and put the hose back you can find videos showing how to do it

    Good Video Sir , very helpful, looks extreme but to do the job yourself and eliminate the problem is a priceless investment. Consider what the dealer or the shop would charge you $$$ Good deal . Use a 12 point socket for those sensors. Will be doing the same.

    Thank you for the video, I have the same truck and the same 2 air leak locations. I was having a hard time figuring out freightliners puzzle of a dashboard

    8:45 you are a absolutely right, some censors are different sizes. BE CAREFUL GUYS. I messed up and put long ones instead of the shorter ones and my truck buzzard and warning signs drove me nuts. MAKE SURE YOU PUT THE RIGHT SIZE SWITCHES. Thank me later :-)

    Thank you so much! You helped me pinpoint the leak in no time. Luckily I only had a bad sensor, unfortunately those things are hard to get off! For future reference those sensors take a 27mm deep well. Made it so easy!

    Usually, I cut a little of the air line hose before inserting into quick connect fittings to ensure that there is no leaks.

  • @TheStevenLora
    @TheStevenLora Před 3 lety +1

    You can get those sensors out with a 1-1/16 deep socket or 27mm deep socket. By far the easiest way. Specially if you don't pull out the entire manifold. It would be impossible to get to it with a crescent wrench

    Not sure the cost of the manifold for urs mine had the same leak you can pull the end out of the push lock and replace the o ring that's the culprit when they leak

      @kholloway269 Před 4 lety

      Yes, you can replace the o-ring. Pull the green plastic out and o-ring is behind it. I replaced the o-ring in my green line connection last week.

    You don't have to replace the hole manifold, just remove any hose and inside there is a little metal or plastic, puller out with a pliers and when is removed inside is an oring,.with a poit screwdriver or something very skinny removed and replace and put back the metal piece You can buy a hole pack of oring with all sizes for 20 dls on harbortools or any truck parts..
    For me work, it was better and easy then buy a new manifold

    how did you get the lines off

    • @GameGeezer
      @GameGeezer  Před 7 lety +2

      You have to push down on the lines and push down on the lip rings around the lines at the same time.
      the while holding them down with one hand use the other to slide out the line.

      hey man nicely done! Have a question for you I have the same issue in my 07 Columbia except that the leak is not from any of the valves but from one of the sensors kind of odd isn’t? do I have to replace the entire module or just the sensor?

    • @jedediahhoffman7925
      @jedediahhoffman7925 Před 6 lety

      it will be just the sensor. i'm guessing it is blowing out from where the prongs are?? if so, then a new one will be in order. just the sensor though.

    I bought a brand new one from freightliner and I Change it out the brass that's glue to the plastic So the air bubbles it's leaking from Between the brass and the plastic manufactured garbage Piece of junk every damm thing as plastic plastic plastic. That's a lot of dam work to do and then you start up your truck and the brand new manifold is defective leaking
