Gary Gray directs this biopic about the rise to stardom for the act that earned the moniker of "The World's Most Dangerous Group", featuring Ice Cube's son O'Shea Jackson Jr. playing the role of his father, Corey Hawkins as Dr. Dre, and Jason Mitchell as the late Eazy-E.

Imagine the stress, heartbreaks, and sadness the doctors go through when they have to tell a patient they don’t have much to live... respect for them. Fr.
John Proctor I agree, The doctor in this scene looked like he was trying with every ounce of his strength to suppress his emotions in order to not appear like he was about to cry to keep himself from appearing unprofessional in front of the patient but you could tell that deep down the doctor was depressed at his powerlessness to save this young man’s life. That’s why he tried to leave immediately because it was too painful to look at EAZY knowing there was nothing he could do to save him. How frustrating it must be for doctors put in that position to know that the patient they want so badly to save is doomed and there is nothing they can do about it.
They need Dr. Kyle. Search him if you wanna see how he handles it

Suge Knight killed E
Nobody dies of HIV anymore. One pill a day, and they have the exact same life expectancy with regular people. It's definitely less risky than obesity (diabetes), high blood pressure and all that common stuff. Still it's not fun to be HIV positive.
Luc Aux It’s been that way for decades. Eazy-E died because he didn’t get diagnosed early enough. Magic Johnson was diagnosed in 1991, and he’s still alive and well because he caught it very early!
Magnus Garrett Hiv will not progress into full blown AIDs in "a few months". He was famous and yes he was promiscuous at times. Women love throwing themselves at rappers or any man with money so they were spreading that shit around like wild fire.
I feel like the actor who played the dr was really good in this two. He’s professional and poised but you can tell it kills him inside to have to tell someone that they got less than a year to live. It’s subtle expression and great acting.

Yeah i know, I cried when i first saw it too.
This killed me when I first saw this.. literally broke my heart..
For those who think the doctor was rude when Eazy-E told him to wait. He wasn’t being heartless. Imagine being in his position telling someone that they have HIV, and seeing the patients reaction of anger and sadness. His facial expression says it all; he truly does feel bad for telling Eazy-E, and he has to attend other patients, he was being a professional.
You could argue that when Eazy said “Come on doc no,” he didn’t mean “Don’t leave,” but like before “Don’t tell me this.”
On top of that, not looking back at Eazy was its own message. If he’d even turned around he might have given Eazy a false jolt of hope where there clearly was none and he knew it.
“When do we start the treatment” 😔😭 💔
DragonStar1776 Back then, they didn't have any treatment unfortunately
The first experimental drugs were available in 1994, but these drugs are for stopping HIV from becoming full blown AIDS. Eazy had progressed to the point in which even in 2018 there is nothing they could do.
I love you dad
Jon Raybon actually nowadays even if you reach full blown aids stage, medicine can bring up the T cell count. No one really dies of aids anymore, at least in first world countries
Not true. Magic Johnson was on AZT in late 1991, early 1992. He's probably still alive BECAUSE he had access to that medicine at that time. Yes, the experimental cocktails were available to him in 1994, but if there were no treatments OR if he had been diagnosed in later stages like Eric Wright, he would've suffered the same fate. As with many diseases, the key is early detection.
This is the reason why I can’t never be a doctor I would break down if I had to tell someone they was gone die soon 😩
Farrah Lynn not trying to tell you, what you should do. However yes that is the unfortunate reality. That being said you will also be able to cure countless people, bring news that a child has entered this world, perform surgeries that bring out a positive change. "comfortable? what do u mean comfortable?" that part made me cry the hardest
what did he mean comfortable
He meant that they would help him come to terms with the fact that he is dying. Maybe they would put him in a hospice or something. A hospice is a place for people who have no hope, they will die in a short amount of time and there is no way of fixing it. They keep people in hospices so they can feel peaceful and not stressed out when they inevitably die.

Imagine having to tell someone they’re gonna die soon
Agreed, that was also some pretty subtle acting on the part of the actor playing the doctor, I got the vibe that he portrayed the doctor as trying with every ounce of his strength to not appear emotional or to keep from appearing like he was about to cry by fighting to suppress his emotions in order to not come off as unprofessional in front of his patient but you could tell that deep down the doctor was depressed at his powerlessness to save this young man’s life. I’m sure there’s been plenty of times throughout history where doctors have left the room after talking to a terminally ill patient out of sheer depression from the knowledge that there is nothing they can do to save them no matter how much they long to.

Was so damn disappointed Jason Mitchell never got nominated for Best Supporting Actor for playing Eazy E. He seriously did a fantastic job capturing Eazy's facial expressions, mannerisms, and this scene is just extremely well acted!
Wait what kind of doctor would continue walking out when the patient says, “wait”?
The fuckin devil that's who
Not like they have a choice. Plus,he already told him what's what, there was no more point in waiting.
Probably overwhelmed in guilt and having to tell Eazy such news.
He felt overwhelming guilt having to tell Eazy about it and he probably had other patients to attend to.
Repeating the same thing over and over again would just make it worse, he was already under stress, and most likely had many other patients to help at that moment. I don't doubt that that doctor felt very truly sorry for what happened, but he had to move on. It's in the profession.
If only he survived, he ruled that game with pac, biggie, ice cube, and dre. Now he with pac and big in the clouds.
Or he would've died from a severe case lead poisoning.Things really got hot in that whole East Coast-West Coast Feud back in the 90's.
If you are a christian....do you really think those guys are "up in the clouds" and not "below in the fire"? It's funny how for a lot of christians, the rules for getting into heaven go out the window when its someone you want to be there. My cousin committed suicide, it was interesting how someone starts to rationalize that crap when it affects them directly. A day before my cousin killed himself my aunt would have been stead fast that suicides go to hell. She amended that belief after my cousin died.

We will all miss you EAZY-E your still a legend even when your dead.... Rest in peace
This is just such a heartbreaking scene. Incredibly well acted. Really makes me feel for all the people diagnosed with HIV, and other terminal illnesses with this outcome.
"I ain't no faggot" - To those criticizing this, it's exactly what someone would have said at this period in time (probably).
I think what gets me the most is when he says "comfortable" and "process this". When E get's left alone after that you get the pain behind it. My thoughts go out to all people affected by this illness.
What it is fucked, the docter didn't like he gave a fuck tbh. He said he would do what they can for the next 6 months, but why tf was he dead like 3 weeks later.
Well, you gotta think about the time period. AIDS was such a nebula back then that it was hard for doctors to know what to do. He was also SO sick by the time he found out that time frames are hard to assess accurately. The doctor may or may not have cared - But assuming he did, what else is he supposed to say? Rather get a bullet to the head or three to the chest and bleed out?..
John S ik,but the doctor could of been my emotional,he looked like he didn't even give a fuck about eazy. I would of hugged eazy.
You know doctors are trained to not express emotional feelings when they give fatal diagnoses or giving the confirmed decease to any patient relative... As cold-blooded as it may look, it is considered un-professional
I think doctor was extremely professional in this scene and did show some emotion probably more then you would expect from a doctor. The medical staff can't get emotionally involved with patients or it will ruin their personal life. How would you feel if you are doctor and you get home every day and cry your eyes out from what you saw in the hospital? People would quit their jobs in days and patients would be left to suffer. Based of what I know when patients are given diagnoses of HIV they are often left alone to process. Often they are offered to speak to someone if they feel suicidal. Doctor job is to help you get better or to make process of dying as comfortable as possible. There is simply not much else they can do. What do you guys think?
its crazy tha acting job jason did on this like... I swear I b seeing eazy sometimes... especially with him crying after tha guard closed tha door...

I think they practice emotional detachment the same way police officers and firefighters do. There was a documentary recently about Freddie Mercury's battle with AIDS where they interviewed his bodyguard and he became overwhelmed with emotion, clearly from holding it in for all those years.
You could see on the bodyguard's face that he was sad.

That T cell count was crazy 14 is pretty much past living your just sitting there dying slowly.
As a nurse I've taken care of patients with a T cell count of 7
Life is such a bs game
Marina Syndulla any of them ever survived? I mean cant you just give them t cells from someone elses blood by injection? I'm pretty sure scientist have seperated white blood cells before
Nightbot PROTO_27 that’ll be like curing AIDS and they don’t want to do that. And I doubt that person survived
Charlisa Burkhalter like AIDS, HIV is a virus that permanently compromises the immune system but to a lesser degree than AIDS. T cells are one of the body’s immune cells, which the virus targets. The high and low meaning is the number of T cells in the body. I’m not sure how HIV Is taken care of today, but if were AIDS I wouldn’t think it mattered whether you can get more T cells through blood transfusion since AIDS is too aggressive. With HIV however, it’s much more manageable since people like magic Johnson can live a normal life with HIV, but I have 0 knowledge on the treatment matter

Its heartbreaking to watch, however the fact is all our actions have consequences. People keep saying he was murdered but the fact is he was famous and promiscuous. Women love throwing themselves at famous men too so he was living it up. The virus is pretty much asymptomatic up until it turns to full blown AIDS, typically a decade later without treatment. Be safe people...
He died in 2 weeks after diagnosis, AIDS can't kill you so quickly. He was murdered by Suge Knight, he even brags about it in one of his songs.
Suge passed it on to him, when he tried to make him sign to deathrow
You can’t get infected with AIDS, only HIV. AIDS is the disease HIV turns into after your CD4 count drops below 200 and your at risk for opportunistic infections and major illness, but you can’t be infected with AIDS! That is a FACT don’t be so naive
Yep he admitted in several interviews he didn’t use condoms
there is a theory that Suge knight injected with an infected blood sample. Knowing how Suge crazy was i think its very possible. After all Eazy was reluctant to sign up the rights and Suge wanted those contracts and rights. Very possible
One of the most emotional movie scenes I've ever seen. This is REAL emotion.
CoDWiiPS3Gameplay
If this is one of the most emotional scenes you've ever seen.. You must watch some shitty movies haha
The actual situation - when you think about it. .. Yea.. But as far as the actual acting in this scene.. Not even close to being "the most emotional thing ever"

I like how they showed Eazy E's Samoan body guard. There was two of them in real life though, some people thought they were twins.
