  • I gave it my all for this tutorial, all video settings explained! There is a LOT of juicy info in here I know you will learn lots! I know this video is not something a lot of you care for, but I just wanted to finish this once and for all, since I put a lot of work into it already. I have also been recovering from tendonitis in my elbow so I haven't been riding lately either, but I should be back very soon!
    This tutorial features the Hero 6, 7, 8 and 9, they all work pretty similarly anyway so I have tons of test footage from all those cameras!

      If you add 0:00 Intro before your 1:52 timestamp it will automatically add them to the actual youtube video bar across the bottom.

    Hey everyone! I know this is different from my normal content, and a lot of you won't care for this. I don't plan on doing anymore of these videos, but I have been recovering from tendonitis in my elbow and it was taking longer than I thought it would. But I am doing a lot better now and should be back to riding right away!

      Could i please ask which accessories you use when out filming on your mountain bike?

      @@jtr4405 hey thanks, I am always using a chin mount set up on my full face helmet, so I just use a j hook zap strapped to the helmet!

    Also yes 60 fps does make you look slower, it's extremely noticeable when posting on Instagram where is like 20fps you looks so much faster

    Mega props for doing this. Some other MTB CZcamsrs claim their settings are proprietary 🙄 You add value for your viewers, which is why you have tons more subs than they do.

    This was an amazing learning experience in just 43min. I always thought some of the settings were obvious but then you took it and made me question about it, I don't have a gopro but this applies to so much more areas than just gopros. Amazing video Jordan!

    Really helpful stuff even for someone who works with cameras! I always want to shoot in 60 fps for how crisp and smooth an image it is but it really does make everything look so slow.
    These were some really great tips for getting the most out of the camera and guiding the auto settings into faster shutters. All the side by side comparisons were much appreciated.

    Thank you so much for doing this video. Most CZcamsrs would tell you their settings, but not tell you why they chose them of how they affect your footage. After this video I feel like I have the knowledge to film in almost every condition (except for super low light), and am excited to use my new Go Pro in the trails.

    Wow. I had the same issue with the native white balance with my Hero 5 and now I know why.
    Amazing video, Jordan. As a fellow filmmaker this was the most extensive breakdown of a camera I have had since school.

    Thanks Jordan... really good detail here and the tip on ev compensation and shutter speed although it seems counter intuitive works well. I wouldn’t have thought to do that.
