Can say we magnet fished in the river Don and found loads of Cannon balls. Some brilliant history in Sheffield. Stayed in the oyo Hotel. As you say a dodge area we felt uncomfortable going to the take away shops. Thanks for the video. X
I have abseiled down that Hotel! The takeaways are amazing down there just need to be careful they don’t serve it with a knife … in the back

I just love the videos with Freddie in them, he reminds me of my 3 youngest grandsons. If you 2 ever get to Florida in the US we would love it if ya'll could go camping with us! Anyway, more mudlarking, exploring and adventures with Freddie and Bear please! You're a keeper Matt and I love both your exploring and travel videos but as an old dog loving Granny (6 dogs, 12 grand kids) I'm particularly fond of your adventures with Freddie, Bear and even your Pop. Someone else here mentioned magnet fishing videos and I completely agree if you ever decide to branch out even more!

The first thing I thought of when I saw the knife was a murder weapon!! Maybe I watch too many murder stories 😂😂. This was a great video…it was fun seeing you and Freddie out and about together. I like all the finds/treasures you both collected. Freddie was having loads of fun and I was wishing I was there. It was fun just watching this! Memorable times!!

Got a bit of stick at school with Norman Bates jokes but my brother I felt more sorry for 😊.Being called master Bates wasn't great for him 😅😅. Interesting to see how Sheffield has changed! Last time I was in the town centre was in 1992! It’s changed so much!!
Now this was a fun interesting adventure to do . When we were little we would go visit my grandpa and he had this city drainage creek that ran behind his property and after a good rain when the water was all drained out of it we would go down in it and find some pretty neat things, to us they were neat and cool then eventually you come to a tunnel and the water would flow thru the tunnel and half would go to the left and half would go to the right we didnt go too far into the tunnels. That's what this reminded me of those days as a kid exploring the creek behind grandpas. 😊

That "dragon" depicted on the wall of the train station could also be a depiction of a "sea serpent". I remember seeing such looking creatures depicted as sea serpents from ancient texts and pictures. Just a thought.🥰❤❤

Sometimes you find interesting things When you're mud locking.
Those cute baby geese that you saw along the shoreline of the river are famous for raising their families in the most dangerous and worst area possible!!
Where I live in Canada, Canada Geese 🪿 decide to start their nests 🪺 in the oddest places, many times right next an extremely busy road!!
Then when their offspring hatch 🐣 they're known for wanting to cross the multilaned road that they live next to.
Thankfully 😅 most vehicles stop and wait for the family to cross the road (sometimes a driver must exit their vehicle to assist and hasten the family across the road!!) and get to the other side! But unfortunately sometimes there are human animals that think it's a game to run one or more of the geese 🪿 over!!😪😡🤬
Freddie was ready to climb over the railing as soon as you said GO!!! He is already a great urban explorer

Don River we have it in North west Tasmania Australia . Plus we have Sheffield ,in land from Deonport , which is near Don
2:30 ish. You never mentioned the famous sheaf valley baths that had the huge painting by Rolf Harris inside. You walked straight past it as well.
My mate picked up a Mars bar from the bottom of the pool - only it wasn’t a Mars bar . You could hear him screaming underwater ! 🤣😂😂🤣🤣
