Chris, sometimes I get so frustrated with my mom, who is 97.
Caring for an older parent isn't easy.
Been doing this for 10 years.
I'm 71, retired RN and feeling burnt out.
Your videos help me a lot.

It's a hard job, don't get weary. The thing about caregiving (Chris said this) is that it will end. Savor every moment and keep up the good work. My journey ended just after Mother's day. Take care of yourself! ❤❤❤

On a day when I feel very tired, I have to laugh at myself; I got into bed tonight thinking, "if I observe mom's mood carefully tomorrow, I might coax her into letting me cut and file her nails." Lol.

Thank you for the reminder, it's very true. I don't need mom's approval to know I'm doing okay. (She contradicts me -- a lot!) I'm getting more and more comfortable not saying anything. No response is often the best one.
I let her accusations just hang in the air.
(angry glare "....were you in my bathroom last night?! Somebody didn't flush a big one!")
You can't make this stuff up!
