Thanks, yes I agree. I'd previously not done a great deal of planning and just plonked things down but I've found I liked plannign things out in more detail to help create the scene I am after.
Hi Liam, welcome back and I’m liking very much your future plans, really looking forward to seeing the station/town scene develop. I’m just coming back after a little break and you’re right it does give you a little thinking time. Chimney was superb, lovely detail and such a neat precise finish, cheers for now Liam, John
Absolutely terrific video demonstrating fantastic skills and understanding of the software. Getting to 500 is an achievement and I know exactly how difficult that is and the work behind the video- filming, composing, exiting and posting. Really well done. Keep up the great work 👍🖊❤️
Great update Liam, the new chimney looks superb and well derailed. I like the plans for the new station building with both the height and depth of the construction should make it a much better scenic part of the layout over the Metcalfe station. Cheers Gary
Hi Liam, Chimney structure looks great. Like the way you approach the use of the brick image manipulating it at the joins and corners. Been following Michael @ Chandwell and is nice to see structures in HO/OO scale. Like your thoughts regarding the station, platform and back scene. Keep up the great work, Don
Hi Liam, only recently came across your excellent channel and have now caught up with your latest video. Superb, well detailed and planned constructions, you have got me into Inkscape and I am also going through Chandwell's excellent Inkscape tutorials. Thoroughly enjoying following the development and your style of presentation. I do like that idea of the station in the cutting, the use of the buildings to hide the road exits should work very well. Cheers Steve
Thanks for the kind feedback! It has taken a while and I only discovered Inkscape by chance when Chandwell appeared in my CZcams feed. It’s made a massive difference to my scratch building.
... New sub here... Flats should have an angle off the backdrop. If the flat is two inches off the back drop , make one side 1 inch and the other side 3 inches. Or whatever ratio you choose.. Try it yourself the perspective and overall look changes . Let me know what you think... Cheers, 😃
Hi there thanks for watching and for commenting. I think I understand what you are saying and yes this is the plan for the buildings behind the station. Look out for the next video as I plan to cover this. 👍
I don’t know where to start Liam… that was a lot of content squeezed into eleven minutes. The chimney is staggering in its neatness and the way it matches the prototype is breathtaking. I loved to see the techniques you used. I’ll never be cutting out individual N Scale bricks, but the “notched square” approach worked really well. And I think you’ve convinced me to try more “whole building wraps” which I’ve only ever done on small buildings before. Maybe you could reconsider shoving the chimney out of sight at the back…? Your approach to scratch building (and video making, I noticed) is very similar to mine. I love a good card mock up. Your plans for the station area will make a superb improvement and I can’t wait to see them develop over the next… year…? The road coming on and of scene behind the buildings is an inspired touch and should work really nicely. Someone on my channel recently recommended using mirrors in this kind of situation to add the impression of greater depth. Maybe that may be an avenue worth exploring too…? Super update. I was glued all the way through. Thank you for sharing. Michael.
Wow this comment is nearly as long as my script! I don’t think I can fit the chimney closer but I have a vague idea for something else… I think the town and station will take 6-12 months given my normal progress rate! I do think I should maybe run some trains soon, but that would mean I need to find and fix a wiring fault!
First visit to Deansbury.
But definitely not my last.
Excellent
welcome to the channel, and thanks for the comment hope to hear from you again soon! cheers
It really pays to plan as you are doing...immaculate modelling by the way...Well done Liam...All the best

The planned station up grade looks good
Thanks Paul!

Thanks, yes it's a lot more time consuming that I though, but all part of the fun and adds a new dimension to the modelling. Cheers!

Excellent update and enjoy your thought process for your future videos. 🚂🚃🚃🚃
Many thanks I think this could be quite a big project
@@deansburytownmodelrailway5056 I don't mind a big project as long as it interests me. I've been following Tony North Eastern build for years. 👍
It may be that long!
Looks great! Liked and subscribed 🙂
Thanks for the sub, much appreciated hope you enjoy the videos
