It really shows that you have a good heart and soul and not because of your race or color, to me women are all the same, all beautiful, some just with a stronger personality that has been through a lot with men?? Almost every Tammy that I ever met had one hell of a big heart. check out her other songs called Do Ya, and then the other one called Hold me, 2 great songs.
This record has always reminded me of my 5 sisters. I'm the only boy sibling and am the youngest.I love them all so much and they were all 80s ladies and have been very successful in life. K.T.was so talented during her season of the 80's. I loved her raspy smooth voice, but she sure could belt it out too! Oh Lord.. I'm so sorry we lost an amazing artist..those were the days. Sending my prayers to her family and friends.. Dear K.T... your work on earth is done and now you can rest in the arms of our Lord Jesus 🙏. No pain and no suffering. This was one of my aunt's favorite songs when it came out around when I was 10 years old. It's funny, now I'm not that far off from how old she was back then. Time really does fly.
My mother passed away 3 years ago. This was one of her favorite songs and described my mom to a T. Mom looked a lot like KT and loved to sing. God bless you mom.
I'm sorry for your loss hun. Your mom has (I don't like to say past tense. Bc i will never consider your mom as past tense. To me, This is my way of showing them they are still alive down here). I know it sux. This is my fav song too. My daughter knows that too. You are doing a great job at managing your life without mom. It's hard. Give yourself some kudos!
She was an absolute great singer and a great great songwriter. You can't get much more of a better written song then 80s Ladies. She did such an excellent job on writing that song. it brings you into the life of the woman and the three girls. What prolific writing. Its absolutely amazing.
What a woman K.T. was. Powerful and evocative voice. The late 80s was a high water mark in country music, but sadly, this lady is oft overlooked. Just like Lacy J Dalton and Janie Fricke, K.T. influenced so many women. Many of us have mum's of that generation, and time is taking them away, and this song carries increasing gravity. Cherish them.
I cry my eyes out everytime I hear this song. Such nostalgia and times remembered, that were better and easier. It reminds me of my Mom but even me and my friends. Time passes.
I graduated in 1984 omg this triggers so many memories for me. My senior year was the best. Time is something no amount of money can ever buy back. It would have been nice if I would have knew it back then I really would have slowed down and took it all in. Time sure does go by quick. I absolutely love this song. RIP KT olslen thank you for writing an awesome song for us to enjoy to remind us of when we was younger.
ONE OF THE GREAT FEMALE COUNTRY SINGERS! RIP🙏 I REMEMBER HER DEBUT ALBUM. THERE'S ONLY ONE KT OSLIN. HER LOSS IS DEVASTATING ; BUT HER MUSIC AND LEGACY WILL LIVE ON❤❤❤❤
To spend years singing in small venues to break out in your 40s and be a chart busting singer in your 40s really took a lot of guts but she didn’t hesitate and country music was that much better for it. So sad she’s gone.
I'd forgotten how heart-breaking this video was! The song popped into my head, as I was born in the 50s...and I've survived! I want the 80s back...I wasn't through with them!
I recall hearing this song a couple of times in the background when I was 11/12 back in '95. Both my parents were going through this "country phase" back then and would always have either TNN(long gone) or CMT(another victim of no more videos). Suffice to say, my interest in country music stems from whatever happened to be in rotation on either of those two channels. Some modern (for the time) hits. And then plenty of, well, 80s country hits that never left my head. If anything stays in my head in regards to this song, it's the haunting rendition of those schoolyard tunes as they fade out. All the more saddening with the still fairly recent passing of KT Oslin. I heard a few other songs from her, but again, this one stays in the mind. RIP you kind soul.
One of close to a dozen where I know every word to every song. Each song was a lifetime story - definitely an amazing songstress. It has been almost 40 years since I cracked open her first album and I still crack it open today and sing along. 😚🎶🎤🎵
My Mother absolutely loved this song when it came out. She sang it all the time. She now is in her late 70's and has been diagnosed with Altzeimers. I told her the news of KT's passing and it astonished me, she knew exactly who I was talking about and asked to hear this song again. KT made an impact on everyone. May she forever rest in peace. 💔❤🙏

Such a loss, but her music will live on for years to come... RIH K.T. OSLIN 🙏
I 100% agree
Rip love your music until we meet in our heavenly home!!!!
This was one of my aunt's favorite songs when it came out around when I was 10 years old. It's funny, now I'm not that far off from how old she was back then. Time really does fly.
Same..my Mom listened to country every morning.
This woman had one hell of a voice.
💔
So do I
I graduated in 1984 omg this triggers so many memories for me.
One of the best lines in any song: “We’ve said ‘I do,’ and we’ve signed ‘I don’t,’ and we’ve sworn we’d never do that again...”
Absolutely my fav!!
ONE OF THE GREAT FEMALE COUNTRY SINGERS! RIP🙏 I REMEMBER HER DEBUT ALBUM. THERE'S ONLY ONE KT OSLIN. HER LOSS IS DEVASTATING ; BUT HER MUSIC AND LEGACY WILL LIVE ON❤❤❤❤
Great song...wonderful songwriter. She had the pipes! KT will be missed.
I remember this song 1987 I had just met my only girl friend felt like I was on top of the world wish I could bring time back R.I.P. Ms Oslin
K.T. and this song is timeless. Such an amazing talent, that no one will ever come close to...she is unbeatable!!!
To spend years singing in small venues to break out in your 40s and be a chart busting singer in your 40s really took a lot of guts but she didn’t hesitate and country music was that much better for it. So sad she’s gone.
I’m sad to hear of K. T.’s death. She spoke for a lot of us with this song. She was one of my all-time favorites, and a lovely lady.
Miss this wonderfully talented Lady!
OMG I haven't heard this song in years...thank you so much for the upload
Never in my life would a song like this make me cry. Rip KT
I'd forgotten how heart-breaking this video was! The song popped into my head, as I was born in the 50s...and I've survived!
I want the 80s back...I wasn't through with them!
R.I.P. Classy lady and awesome music.
Sadly she has passed away. This will always be one of the greatest songs
One of the greatest songs ever
RIP Ms. K.T. Oslin; this song meant so much to me. Thank you.
Great song. How do y’all women growing up in the 80s not make this your anthem? RIP Ms. Oslin
This song is stuck in my head right now lol
Loved the 80's ladies!! Rest in Peace K.T. hugs!!
The best years of our life when we’d start the car and who’s on our FM radio but KT. We will never forget you beautiful angel.
One of my favorite songs.. thank you KT Oslin you will be truly missed
Rest In Peace To our amazing KT who who passed away today....💔💔
RIP KT............your music will live forever!

I'm a 80's lady 🙏 this song is soooo true ❣️🙏 amen I love you girl ❣️
My favorite 80s lady, Rest In Peace. ❣️
RIP K.T. I love this video Soo much
One of close to a dozen where I know every word to every song. Each song was a lifetime story - definitely an amazing songstress. It has been almost 40 years since I cracked open her first album and I still crack it open today and sing along. 😚🎶🎤🎵
Remembering my Younger days in Memphis Tennessee and STL
Memphis is nothing like it was in the 80’s
My Mother absolutely loved this song when it came out. She sang it all the time. She now is in her late 70's and has been diagnosed with Altzeimers. I told her the news of KT's passing and it astonished me, she knew exactly who I was talking about and asked to hear this song again. KT made an impact on everyone. May she forever rest in peace. 💔❤🙏
THAT is beautiful !
My dear Mom suffered the same way. But damn ! How she remembered the sweet times.
This a real country singer. Most of the girls today sound like Cats in an alley.
Too funny but true 😂
I've always felt like it's just pop music with a forced accent. Although this is a great song, if she didn't have an accent, it wouldn't be country.
NAILED IT. This is country. She was country. Damn what a loss.
😂😂😂
Rest in Peace
I can't stop crying.... Listening to this as an adult really hits home..
God's love in her precious voice, missed .😊
