  • Hey y'all! I was asked by a friend if I could make a resin geode piece on canvas and was sent a photo of something that she liked. I hadn't done it before but was happy to take on the chalenge.
    In this video, I use a 14x18 level 2 stretched canvas (this was the size chosen by her) and I drew out a design before laying the resin down. There was almost 2 hours of footage that I clipped down without losing the gist of everything I did in case you want to recreate it.
    I learned some things doing this that I talk about in the video, so stay tuned! Enjoy!

    I agree, this method is great and seems cost effective!!! Genius during a time of inflation!!

      Very true! Since doing this particular piece I've discovered I use less resin when I have the surface already painted as a guideline

    Hi thank you for sharing, for this canvas, how much resin do you use? So i can prepare mine!

      Hey! I believe I mixed 2 cups/ 16 oz of resin to make sure I had enough for the first layer (any left over I pour into different molds, like a phone stand mold). The second layer was 1 cup if I'm not mistaken. It was just a layer of clear resin over everything after the first layer cured 🙂

    I have asthma problem I heard that resin isn't good for us but I really love to learn this but I don't know which materials and quantity use for this please teach me ....I'll be thankful to u..

      Hey! It's very important to use a respirator if you're working around resin to protect your lungs (you may also want to consult your doctor just in case because I'm not sure how resin can effect you depending on how severe your asthma is). If you can work in a well ventilated area it will help as well. When I first started using resin I purchased smaller amounts (I believe I started with half a gallon) just in case I didn't like it. As far as how much to use for each project, it's a learning process. I find that it's easier to mix too much than not enough resin, and if I have extra after doing a project I pour it into spare molds that I take out to use.

    Can we use acrylic color in raisin art

    • @VivezbienCreations
      @VivezbienCreations  Před 2 lety

      Hi! Yes, acrylic paint can be used in resin. It's more opaque and thicker in consistency, so it's best to smart with small amounts first (like 1 drop or half a drop) and see how you like the color. In my experience adding paint leads to the resin starting to cure faster so if I use paint I do so with smaller projects that won't take too long. Maybe I'll do a piece soon to demonstrate!

      @@VivezbienCreations ok...but i am asking about drawing of the product

    • @VivezbienCreations
      @VivezbienCreations  Před 2 měsíci +1

      I don't use an app to draw the designs. For this piece a friend sent me a picture of something she liked and I drew this in my own way using a pencil. I then painted the canvas before I used resin over it.
