    Taylor,
All you probably need is a flat plate baffle at the end of the filter to stop the sound from going straight out the end of the filter into the pickup tube.
I think you have enough space to weld a piece of flat plate to the back of the box and just space it between the end of the filter and inlet opening. The baffle only has to be large enough to redirect the sound coming straight out of the filter.
Think about a factor air box, there is always some form of baffle system, either a set of ribs/fins along the bottom or sides or both, but many just have that one larger plate just inside the inlet pipe.
I think that is all you need.🤙

For the box, add two opposite sided baffles, air makes the flow no problem, but the sound wont. You can also line the box with the acoustic foam used in cars, as its very good at cutting out high-pitch sounds. Also, love the riding... up in Canada, we dont have everglades to shoot around on, looks like a blast!

@Talyor - A little trick to transfer hard to reach holes. Use a strip of painters tape, and poke holes through the tape into the existing holes. Pull off the tape, and transfer to the box and tap your holes as close to center as possible. Gets it very close (and if your initial holes are small, can be very accurate for transferring.

Any soft materials you can add will soak up sound. You can also look into Active Sound Management systems (Bose is one manufacturer) that put out opposite sound waves - Engine Harmonic Cancellation.
