How benevolent can the gods be. If they need the prattle of mortals. To justify their being.
Believing That there exist no salvation. Unless their Divinity intervenes. And that Only salvation through belief in them.
As well as blind faith given away devoutly. Will satiate earthly needs. Keeping the fear within believers.
To cleave unto those to which they pray and plead. As earthbound preachers scream. “These are the words of the almighty.
For the Heavenly Father inhabits the rocks that line the mortal seas. And that those who refuse to worship, will crash against them. Because they dared not believe. That a new world shall come to be. As the old one passes.”
Their God guaranties. For the world shall burn in fire and blood. Smoldering till its all but debris. Bringing the purity of oblivion. To a world that should have lived on its knees.
And from the ashes of this world. God will build a better one. But Those who see logic, try to speak sense. However a zealots beliefs they’d dare not leave. For who cares about their petty judgments. They strain from brains to meager.
To comprehend their Gods reality. And resistance only delays the inevitable. For a belief that is eternal. Can never be defeated. Not by Human beings for they’re a species with great power. Yet they detest that they owe their existence.
To those they’d see as beasts. For evolution is remarkable. And is proven to be.
As far beyond Gods. As people wish Gods were beyond human beings.

He was driven by the "survival of the fittest" ideal, and that is what made him who he was. And with his boatload of abilities, he was nearly unstoppable in his quest. You know you are a beast when whole teams, including the X-men, are attacking you at the same time!

I sort of agree but just like Magneto, he's not really a villain, unlike with Mr Sinister, characters like Apocalypse and Magneto are trying to do the right thing but in the wrong ways most of the time sadly. I love these old animated series, even though they are targeted more towards kids, they always had a depth and a darkness that makes them timeless, so much thought gone into it all. I love them.

Magneto not a villain? Well you can't get to the heart of criticizing him because he's a Holocaust survivor and Jewish. Such criticism was and still is deemed as anti semitism.

@@pmccoy5511 The fact that he's a holocaust victim / survivor has nothing to do with it. Magneto just always felt as though he was borderline villain, but never quite "a baddie". However, over three years since posting that original comment, a lot has changed...
There are no good and bad people, in fiction, or reality. There's only people doing either good or shitty things to each other. There's no such thing as fate, and there's always a better way to go about something, especially in regards to fighting or even killing. As Human Beings, we're able to communicate unlike any other animal on the Planet, so we should, not just take the easy way out because it's piss easy 🥴
What makes a 'villain' = someone trying to do the right thing in the wrong way. That is it. The means in which a person / people try to accomplish something. It's never as black and white as the stupid mainstream media try and shove it in peoples' faces on the news 🙄

@@Johny40Se7en If him being a Holocaust survivor had " nothing to do with it" why make that part of the character in the first place? Magneto could have a Dresden firebomb survivor, a Palestinian a descendant of the Trail of Tears. However, given the Jewish origins of, in the United States comic books and cartoons ( Hanna Barbera, Walt Disney and Walter Lanz ( creator of Woody Woodpecker) being the exceptions it's pretty reasonable that a Holocaust survivor would be chosen as villian would be anti hero whose deeds would never be questioned by the reader lest they be accused of being anti Semitic.
Magneto had no angst about choosing Mutant superiority which should lead to Mutant domination over non Mutants as his philosophy and political military governmental stance so your argument is mute. There were a lot of politics going on in the X men series before it hit the television screen- such as why was Kitty Pryde made a Jewish character? Why were Peter and Ilyana chosen to be her boyfriend and friend respectively? Why were these 2 named Rasputin- were they to be related to the infamous Rasputin? Why would country farm raised Russians labeled as Atheists when during the Soviet domination it was far easier for older relatives older friends older neighbors to pass down Russian Orthodoxy to the children? Such rural children would have had by their inclination and upbringing very little dealings with Jewish people albeit that in this case Kitty got involved with both of them after they became part of American society and in Illyana's case freely indulged in American capitalism, consumerism and decadence?
Your denial of some things being either what they are or are not, based on the media, to me is merely rationalizing the atrocities that go on daily examples would be : Trayvon Martin knew how to defend himself and not just be subjected to being pistol whipped so a defeated Zimmerman had the right to shoot him. Or because George Floyd had done past criminal acts and every one ignored at the time that only trained experts can tell true from counterfeit money, he deserved to be chocked to death, or Jacob Blake because he had done crime and was feared to have a knife he didn't brandish deserved to be shot until he was rendered paralyzed instead of shot to be able to be searched for a weapon- and this was done in front of his CHILDREN who doubtless NEVER to this day received therapy possibly life long therapy. Such musings are the standard for Right Wing apologists who promote gerrymandering and curtailing of Black voting power in key states especially in the south. I am not fooled by your words.

No one's rationalising anything, or condoning anyone's bad behaviour. Everyone's got a choice. And the fictional character of Magneto made choices too, which pushed him more to the dark.
The fact that you're naming all these people, who have no doubt been broadcast all over the news, just goes to show that you're need to stop watching so much negative shit on tv. It makes people miserable and narrow minded, which is definitely the vibe that you're giving off.

He wasn't depressed. He simply realized that perhaps fate was working against him. Instead of feeling sad, he instead used his new powers and his own mind, to figure out a way to defeat fate and ended up spending over a 1000 years studying the new place he teleported to, the place outside of time. Just to defeat fate itself. He was as determined as ever.
