First time out for baby chicks with momma.

This momma has been broody since the day we got her. She finally got her chicks. It was a long, complicated saga. She sat for 30 days, and still no chicks hatched. We assumed that the eggs were not viable at this point (21 days is chicken gestation). I bought her some store bought chicks and traded the eggs for the new babies. She immediately started clucking happily. She is so happy! today is the day she decided they were ready to brave the coop (she has been in a large dog crate within the coop and hadn't left the crate yet).
