Best wiring demo ever seen learned so much thank you
So good and seemingly simple. The magic is visualizing what the tree will look like before the process begins. I marvel at the shape of the trunk in this bonsai example. Nice work!
Well said! People often forego this thinking step and then find styling hard. Once you have decided what the endresult roughly should be like, it is a matter of putting branches in place and removing others. I think Tuesday a short comes out that you will like.
Again a great bonsai for beginners tutorial video!! Your channel is a must seen for bonsai beginner👏
Hi Kurt, thank you so much! Such a great compliment! I do like it when people enjoy my videos. Feel free to share the link around your socials and make this an infectuous bonsai video channel :)
Thanks for sharing bro.... Beautifull bonsai👍👍
thank you so much! Hope you liked the video!
Great video Jelle! I need to do some juniper work soon so this was good timing!
Thank you Dave. I doubt you would need my tips to do excellent work thought!!
@@GrowingBonsai thanks! But I'm always learning and enjoying it. I'm not an expert in junipers, I only have a few of them. I should devote more time to them...
@@BlueSkyBonsai Such a shame you are not driving distance. Would have loved to work with you on some trees!
Great video! I love the trunk and primary branch design you created. Please show us an update on the tree in a year or so. 😀
What soil mix do you use for your juniper cuttings?
Hi bob, all my trees are in a mix of diatomous earth, broken expanded ./shale? pumice and ground pine bark. And whatever happens to be mixed in.
IF I still have th plant, I will show it again. But I intend to sell a whole bunch of smaller trees.
WOW Jelle! So you’re also a Dr. of Bonsai!! I feel 🤯! If I ask if you have a Pithecollobium tortum you’ll know what I’ve been reading! God bless you 🙏✝️ ✌️🇺🇦🌻✌️
You are at the nuthouse are you? Then you know I have several, and 2 varieties of p tortum!
🤪! I could hardly understand what I was reading n it wasn’t even Dutch! What a blessing you have such good social skills that you can communicate so well, you can totally be forgiven a modicum of frustration with d CZcams world.G B 🙏✝️
Really nice work Jelle! Great work and great looking tree! 👍
Hi Jay, thank you so much!
Good steps in the design thoughts on what to use in your design considerations.
Thank you! Cheers!
Nice work. This should go on to become a cracking tree!
Also great news on your channel. It's really gathering some good momentum!
thanks Tony. I hope it will be! As for the channel.. mostly one video pulling ahead..
Yeah, that's really all it takes. One popular video can really make a huge difference!
@@TonysBonsai the contrast gets big with the others after a big grower though :). not sure how to crack the YT nut though. Wrestling with making informative meet entertaining.
Yep, that's the sweet spot we are trying to hit. I'm sure we'll both be at 1000 subs before we know it!
Beautiful bonsai, I like it....
thank you!
Looks great 😍
Thank you Gerardo!
Very well done video! Thank you.
Thank you Ed, glad you like it!
Yet again great viewing Jelle. You have reminded me to get out into the garden and tackle my junipers. For some reason I always struggle to keep my juniper thriving once I work on them. Perhaps I should leave some growth on them next time I prune :)
Yes, too much work and they struggle. Do NOT remove the tips of all branchlets!
@@GrowingBonsai Thanks for that 'tip' :)
@@XaviersBonsaiRetreat :) When pronung, remove whole tufts to foliage, and leave the tips on the rest intact. And try to avoid removing more than half of the foliage in one go and you should be OK As you get more experience you will get a feel for what a tree can handle
Amazing
Thank you Tarian
Very nice
Thanks!
Very good
Thank you Haju!
Tuyệt quá bạn ơi 👍👍👍👍
Hi again!
200 to go! I trust you’ve got your 1K vid prepared God bless you 🙏✝️ ✌️🇺🇦🌻✌️
199! Speeding up! 🤗
I am afraid not! I do not want to assume I will get there, untill I do. So I might just have to do a livestream or something for it!
Aww come on, really?! Live-streams are great from my limited experience anyway. May God continue to bless you and your excellent channel 😇
Nicely styled. Will you treat the deadwood with lime sulphur?
Cheers
for now, no. I want it to weather a bit before treating !

How long do you leave the wires on for?
Untill the branch has set, which is a none-answer. I leave them on untill I see the wire starting to be swallowed. Once the wire starts to look flat on the branch side, you know that the branch has expanded and is growing around the wire. The latest is when thinner (say 1mm) wire is swallowed up to half its thickness.
In terms of time this could be within a few months, or only after a year. The tree from the video has not been unwired, but needs to be unwired the next weeks.
@@GrowingBonsai Thank you
