- It's finally the birthday of the Messiah!!! O m e g a.... I mean Jesus!!! :D Had this done for quite a long time but I decided not post it yet so I can make some updates if ever. I think Christmas would be a nice time to post. :)
Alternate title is "Faded Memories". Fan re-imagining of Zero vs Omega.
This animation is actually for "hardcore" Zero and X series fans so it's actually cool the original(2011) got a LOT of views. :D I don't think there are many hardcore MMZ and MMX fans.
Unlike the previous remaster which is technically a remake. This one is an actual remaster. I still have the old file. The plan was just to remaster this not X vs Zero Decisive Battle 2, but just a few days of fiddling the original file, I realize remaking X vs Zero Decisive Battle 2 would be easy compared to this. O_o This one is tough and tedious.
Actually, it would be amazing if I could pull out more decisive battles, if not it's still great I was able to create my personal fave battle. X vs Zero and Zero vs Omega.

Back before I thought of making a patreon or monetize yt so I can have financial support to work and focus looooong months on this animation hobby. However, it would be complicated and risky, I didn't pursue that. Still I would like to create more videos but as much as possible I'm just casual with what I do here. I prefer to work on something that won't take too long. Remastering this is going to be TOUGH but since HD Remaster X vs Zero Decisive Battle 2 turned out great, I think it will be worth the effort. :)

It's been 12 years since this animation came out and i still get that feeling when i watched it the first time.. Absolute peak
I too got some tears.... It reminds me not only of the nostalgia,, but the fact that some of us exist to help others. They may not deserve it, but it's the right thing to do. Some of us must be a light in the darkness, because one candle can light many flames.

For me, it was when Zero got back up, smashing open the rocks around him and going HAM on Omega. The images of all those hes met up to this moment appearing next to him always makes me tear up.
Fun fact:
In Megaman X1, in the intro stage, after X says he isn't strong enough, Zero reassures him by saying "I know you can do it."
This is reflected in X final words to Zero at Z3 and X tells him "Zero, you can do it"
Thats why the Mega Man franchise as a whole is my favorite video game series of all time. Moments like these give it so much charm and beauty ✨
Adding the animation of Ciel talking to Zero before the final portion of the fight was just absolutely genius and elevated the video even more
4:45 I noticed how much shockwaves the water has each time Zero lands a hit on Omega. Such a cool detail that emphasize how much force and motivation Zero has behind his saber swings. So cool!

Imagine being depressed for so many years and living to see both the Original and Remaster. I saw the original way before depression, I then started watching the original every night I was down and depressed in my early 20's. Late 20's the worst things happen to me and I get to see this when I need to. Got me in tears.

3:30: That entire sequence where Omega decides to stop messing around. Pressing forward, tanking hits, and splitting off slamming Zero was peak in the original.
The enhanced visuals and fluidity of animation put it over the top.
Fun little tid bit I just realized, the maverick siren goes off then as well to signify the fights truely begining.

Edit: Holy shit, the added corrupted subtitles of Zero's speech and the new animated parts are so awesome, in particular the scene where Ciel tells Zero he is already the real one in her eyes showing him with his original body. CHILLS

I don't like my old animation(The Legendary Reploid) very much so I remade it for this. T_T I remade only the conversation with Ciel and Zero though. I'm happy with how it turned out hopefully, I would still like it after years. Originally on the 2011 version, the guardians won't be present and it will be a handdrawn animation 4:04 , however I can't draw that time. I still kept the guardians on this remaster however.

I just got done playing the remaster and I wish the remaster actually had a small section where they were fighting as equals before handing us the control. It would have been so cool
This animation perfectly encapsulates what makes the Zero 3 final so memorable and amazing, the sheer emotion of what Zero's power is to be used to finally revealed in the climax + the animation of Ciel and Zero's first meeting really got me so emotional.

I'll always love the original so much, but this was wonderful.
It flowed so well, and the effects were so warm.
The addition of the animation of Zero and Ciel meeting worked so well, and the distorted dialogue of Zero trying to remember his purpose was brilliant.
The part at the end where Zero busts out and has the old Zero aura around him. The music and the situation and all just works so well.
You did the entire hero battle perfectly here with him being on the back foot, X being hit, everyone else being splattered, then Zero just busts out to save the day and X joins him to finish the job. I love how you've added a lot of extra blasts to X fighting Dark Elf in the background (when he's in the energy ball form), too.
I loved the original so much, and this seems to be even better! :D

It was truly a privilege to witness this incredible remaster -- going beyond just enhancing the battle sequences also are scenes and animations added that compel the heart: Zero and Ciel's bond and connection really shines here as a sparkling light that radiates in Zero as he does battle to prove himself under his own terms.
Exceptional work that goes beyond merely just applying an HD frame by frame recreation of the older work.
I can't praise your efforts enough. Truly a transcendent and touching all-out presentation! 😊

Absolutely loved the additional dialogue from Zero from 3:23 and it finishing what he said at 4:56 after finding his true conviction. Remebering that the real Zero is the one that stands with the beliefs of the original, not just the shell of the original. Such a good choice to move the dialouge from after the battle to during it! This + the updated visuals and the other added details like from your other animations is such a treat to see, this was SO worth the wait!
4:38 Man, when Zero breaks out from the rubble pile and the music ramp up. This gets me tear up every time.

Best Christmas ever. I watched this when I was 11 on repeat forever. I am now 21 and I still come back to the original. It shaped my standard not just for CZcams animations, but in terms of fandom content as a whole. This video and the Zero series as a whole will always have a place in my heart. THIS IS AMAZING OMG, I love how you reframe and colored some of the scenes differently to help bring out some of the more impactful moments.
The text updates and the glitch effects were also so amazing!
Using the digital animation scenes as opposed to the pixel ones also help bring so much more emotions to the moments and I freaking love it!
The additional pixel animations, the timing of each strike was also so beautifully done! (also give its pixel, it was probably doing key frame animation instead of just moving pivots)

Adding in your old animation scenes into this decisive battle was a really great touch.
Anytime i see that original art in the zero/zx legacy collection, where both x series and zero series zero are clashing, i am reminded of this decisive battle.
Only really small nitpick is i think it couldve been better is if the last shot of megaman zero 3 is added when he says "I am Zero"

Just watched it, and it was beautiful. There's some parts that I miss (Zero waking up as Ciel says, "You're already Zero in my eyes.", flashbacks of X and Zero as they talk, and the artwork for the end of Zero 3 appearing in this.), but if you ignore all of that, it's almost perfect.
I couldn't have asked for a better Christmas gift than this, one of my favorite animations made by a talented artist, thank you for all your work ultimatemaverick and I hope you have a happy Christmas

Nice seeing you remaster one of your most iconic divisive battles beloved by the rest of the megaman community. Which perfectly symbolizes the battle between the original soul(the Zero we know) and the original body(the Zero Wily wanted), along with the fluidity of the animation because of the 60 fps, and with some added effects and spritework help makes it stick out more. Just in time for the holidays.

Damn, a year ago I said how much the old one still held up today, and then this came out and blew my mind. The new animation as well as integrating your animated Megaman Zero videos was just **chef's kiss** . Sure my PC was probably screaming throughout that but it was all worth it, seeing this again filled me with loads of nostalgia.
The effort put into this was well worth it.

Seeing this in my subs was a surprise. I'm glad I got to rewatch this, I especially loved the small tweaks you made. As for my favorite part, Zero remembering himself and what he fights for has always been it, and adding your animation to the dialogue was just beautiful.
