- Here is the full animation.The idea was to present the fight of X Vs. Zero that occurred in the events of Megaman x5. Kind of like a "flashback" from Megaman Zero 4. Hope you enjoy 🙂

Although UltimateMaverickX was a great impetus and inspiration for this animation. I feel that his work and that of this animation are different. There is no intention to "surpass or be better or compete" just to respect both versions and the love we all feel for these characters.
The Zero saga has a different style with different production styles that I love. So I wanted to do some justice to the great story of X5 with the sensations of the Zero saga. I also did a lot of art research to create the X sprites without his armors. Copy X and the original X had different bodies. Also, many plans changed during the production because animating takes time and is very difficult. Still, I hope you guys enjoy it. ^^

This is still one of my favorite moments in fiction. What we have is a rare moment where you have 2 friends, *Who are on the same side* Battling it out using all of their power in a Serious match to the point of maybe killing each other.
We see alot of "Goku vs Vegeta" type of conflicts in media. Where one is the hero and the other a villain or one "turned to the Dark Side" (Anakin Skywalker).
Here though we have two characters who are *not* enemies. Though Zero does have the Virus influence ending option in X5 (which is a dead end) there is also a version where the virus does not take a hold of him. Yet the battle still happens. Because they have to Force each other to back off.
Neither side is evil, not truly. This is very Rare in these types of stories. They're both the Hero of the story.
More stories need to happen where the heroes fight each other for their beliefs/for the safety of the others, honestly. There's something poetic about being unmovable in that willpower to the point of fighting your allies over it, even if it is to protect them.
@@SeanTheShinigami Daredevil vs punisher in the live action show is very similar, with punisher being an anti hero. He wants to find out what happened to his family and kills all criminals on the way, while daredevil is against killing criminals as a vigilante. Both hate crime but their methods cause them to fight
I LOVE the detail of Zero's colors. They're those of Omega because he's meant to be on his Original Body, and the fact he even pulls some of his moves, like Ranbu and the Buster - Saber combo is just another fine detail!
The way I see it. This version is of a Zero and X that made it to Megaman Zero, whereas ultimataverickx's version is of a Zero that was tainted by the virus for much longer.
Basically this would be like canon almost?
More like they failed to destroy Eurasia in X5 on Ultimate Maverick X version.

No matter the different iterations, no matter the interpretations, no matter the different animation over the years: X vs Zero will always be a classic I will always enjoy watching.

2:58 Excellent SFX use here, and overall a great tribute to a legacy defining showdown.
Between this and ultimatemaverickx's interpretation of this fight, I honestly have to say that I prefer this video over that one. That one ain't bad at all, but the reason I prefer this is all because of how it is animated in a much more fast paced manner, (which is something ultimate maverickx's animation can only say towards the end.) but it's still remains faithful to the source material instead of being a DBZ fight with different characters (if you want to know what I mean, look up "Shadic vs Metallix" from space pea") and in fact, this may be more faithful due to Megaman X games being fast paced. I also like how it doesn't go overboard with including every armor X ever had here, while that would've made the fight more climatic, I like it when in a 1v1 fight, the characters instead of just constantly powering up, they use their base form and maybe one or two upgrades. Since it doesn't undermine their base form and makes the transformations feel more impactful. (Which is again, a problem the sprite animation i mentioned earlier and many others have)
Basically, both animations are good in their own aspects, I just subjectively prefer this one.

Loved this video, amazing job. This and Decisive Battle: Zero vs Omega Zero will probably be two of my favorite CZcams animations of all time. You captured the feel of this fight in a new way, yet it feels so right. Love the use of the Zero style for everything, that's a lot of dedication since most of those sprites you would have had to make yourself. Just wow. And the choreography, just excellent. Thank you for this.
Although I do think the X sprites look a bit rough around the edges, gotta say that the animation was splendidly done. Really love how it kinda became a martial arts fight once the shoot out went all melee.
Also think that the dialogue was used neatly in giving context to the fight, and we'll overall it's a pretty solid video. Great job.
This animation is the perfect simulation of the epic fight between the player that never misses and the player that never gets hit.

Man if we got an X fight on this caliber it would've been such a love letter to fans in the Zero series. Stellar work here on the X sprites too, I know you had to work hard to make those armors consistent! Overall fantastic MMZ-like take on the fight alongside UltimateMaverick's X-like rendition.

I actually kinda like the idea that Zero is, unbeknownst to him, slowly being overcome by the Virus the longer he fights X in that environment instead of the player driven scenario presented in X5.
Really cool interpretation of the events. Were it to continue, I would think it would likely be X that goes on to face Sigma. X and Zero are both probably just as damaged from this fight, but X would only have battle damage and he can most certainly deal with that. Zero is not only physically damaged, but he watched himself become the monster he suppressed for as long as he can remember and now has to deal with the revelation that he is the source of all mavericks. He is in neither the physical, mental, or emotional state to take on Sigma, even though he is objectively a better combatant than X.
This entire comment sounds like copium. Whatever you need to tell yourself to be able to sleep at night just go and do it. You know for a fact that this isn't true. In all the products that relate to the X series, games or manga, it always includes X surpassing Zero. But as always, Zero fans tend to call everything they don't like "non canon", even certain story events in games like X2 and X5 get ignored by these insecure people. X beats Zero in a "what if" battle in X2. And Sigma outright calls X the best in X5 but to Zero he's not very sure. These are facts from the official games that I'm using, meanwhile some Zero fans always try to validate themselves with fan fiction and vague baseless statements. I' m sorry but Zero was always meant to be surpassed and he was surpassed pretty early too. I still love Zero tho.
@@MrMeowMeowSaysPurr I mean, by better combatant, he isn't merely talking about skill nor power, instead it is about how Zero is a fighter who is ready to take on even the greatest of challenges to finish his mission and will do so with the necessary action. While X's heart and emotions are what drive him into those battles against the mavericks, they also make him uncertain, so he takes longer thinking the situation through.
What happened to Zero in X5 was different from those normal battles, it wasn't just a clash between them, Zero's mind (and technically his programming, internal circuits) was screwed. X's damage was on his armor and concern for his friend, so whatever Sigma had wouldn't shake him up more than Zero being possessed as he was going to take him on already. And about one who surpasses the other, there is reasonable proof that Zero could ''match'' X as he had fought Copy-X (whose body on par with the original's) multiple times and stopped him without even being affected by the virus while using a new body.
@@sonicplays8740 I see what your saying but Copy X was said to be weaker than the original due to his lack of experience as stated by Zero. "Too weak, was the original this weak? I may not remember, but my body does. The real X was stronger than this." (After the battle) "I just remembered something. The real X wasn't as naive as you."
@@MrMeowMeowSaysPurr Well, I do gree with you on that. X's greatest strength is his heart, much like Zero said. That X he fought was technically as strong as the Original because of that Ultimate Armor he had worn (as Ciel herself had said, she programmed him and gave him a body built with the same capacities, but who X is isn't something born out of nowhere).

Question, great animation and I loved the ending for the whole X vs Zero, but what did you use for the battle grunts for part 3 of the fight? Was it from one of the X games? 5:01 I’m talking about the ending part, where are the voices for Zero and X?
this animation is still insane years later, now that i'm a spriter, i see the value of your work even more, do you still have thoses sprites? it would be for the mugen community for a new char, you'll obviously be mentionned as the creator and owner of thoses sprites in any case every rockman fan saw this animation so anyone who tries to steal them would be called for immediatly, in the mugen community we only have really outdated mmz style x and none looks as good as yours, truly amazing (you made it with your friend metaur so i'll ask him too and if yes, he'll also be mentionned naturally
