When I was four years old, our neighbor had a Yorkie which I loved and knew I would have one someday. Finally, my husband and I were so proud to welcome two, four-pound little chaps, Winston Chandler and Godfrey Archibald (brothers and we just couldn't split them up), into our lives and I was never happier. They had fresh top knots every day and their "skirts" (long hair curled up at the floor) groomed, befitting handsome gentlemen. Sadly, after many years of pure bliss with them, they passed away and cannot be replaced but their sweet memories remain in our hearts forever.
What I love about this channel is when I'm in pain, I can listen to Kirsten's soothing voice (sorry Joerg)
Totally relax and allow my mind to feel peace. X

Well, we had such heavy rain the week before that we had to abandon a video and accommodation and sadly lost money. We don’t mind rain but it would have destroyed all our camera gear I’m afraid.

I would love to hear how they decided to purchase a location, what changes or updates or discoveries they made, how they chose to decorate a room, and where to visit locally for site seeing. I think you and Jorge have such a charming way about you both and I bet most people wouldn’t mind answering a few questions on camera. Every time I think you've found the cutest home out there, you go and find another! I adore the Lorna Doone suite, the painted blossoms are beautiful, but every room has its charm. Honestly these homes are so inspiring when it comes to decorating. We are lucky you excel at capturing them on film to showcase.

What a gorgeous house. Each bedroom is perfectly lovely, unique and individual. Oh my, how to choose a favorite. The built in storage in most of the rooms is very utilitarian. The stacked bunks in the Family suite are quite clever. What child wouldn't love one of those beds! Oh yes, the clarinet lamp sticks - who'd have thought! Can you imagine the Luttrell suite at Christmas? As I am partial to red, I'm most drawn the the Dunster suite. The food looked delicious. I'm going to put the kettle on now. Thank you Kirsten and Joerg for another lovely tour.

Wow! Just beautiful. I love the color of your room. The tree mural on the wall is so elegant. All the rooms are just gorgeous. I agree with you about the green tiles in the bath. Green isn't my color, but it works in that bath. Such elegance in each room. The dining room is wonderful. Those scones look delish. Oh, the lounge is perfect. It's so cozy and inviting. I can just imagine sitting there on a cold winter's night. Fireplace warmth, a drink and good company. Yes, perfect.

The Luttrell suite and the Club lounge put me in mind of the Orient Express as I imagine it. But your room is my favorite of the bedrooms, I think. The boxed in headboard is charming and reminiscent of historic beds.
I'll look into the Edward Bulmer book you show. I think the three most key elements in this type of interior are (1) walls painted in strong colors or patterned paper, (2) fabrics window treatments, and (3) patterned rugs. That's the basic trifecta. Window seats, hardwood or tiled floors, and upholstered chairs help, too. Oh, and patterned lampshades!
I admire you both for your enthusiastic forays into romantic worlds. This is my kind of fantasy living!
I suggest that you show a map of the UK at the start of each episode, with a little flag or star locating the site. As it turns out, though, I did a quick internet search on Somerset and found a site chock full of info on the area, including places to stay. It must be hard to choose, with so many lovely and inviting options.

Lovely vid as always. Kirsten, I had the same reaction as you. I actually gasped out loud with delight at the room before you said it was your favourite. English interior decorating is so distinctive: not too matchy matchy, different colours and texture, yet somehow remaining cohesive. How enjoyable!
