Sweet transformation. one of my favorite parts of your vids is seeing leaves and dirt getting vacuumed out of door jambs and cowl areas, its so satisfying seeing those drains get clear again.
5.0 V8 302
Could be a 351W. In this vintage both had the 2bbl VV carburetor and telling them apart is almost impossible unless you read the emissions label. I've had about every combination and permutation of 302/351 and transmission you can imagine, including a very rare 89 I bought new with the 351W and Trailer Tow Package. My brother also had an 86 Colony Park with the 351 and towing package

I am a female and I thoroughly enjoy cleaning and detailing my own car! I love watching you guys videos either way I've learned alot from you all and Other channels as well keep up the great work!!👍🏾😁🥰🥰
"I'm a female" 🤓☕
I love these things, the coupes seemed to be more rare than the sedans. If only Ford still produced cars like this.
But can you imagine how much one would cost. The average person wouldn’t be able to afford it.
@@StevenSmith-pt8rz Unfortunately that seems to be the case with most cars nowadays.
They are way more rare, most people wanted the more practical four doors.
Big heavy doors, always only halfway closed, especially with women driving them, the 2dr is the cheapest entry model
It would be nice to know what happens to these cars a few mo tha down the line. What about doing an episode just on updates on the last few cars you cleaned.
They blew this car up with a shotgun.
I agree. Would love to hear and / or see the owners reaction and what they do with the vehicles after the cleaning.
😮 I think consulting with locksmith on what do to when you don't have the keys is helpful for future projects. It was too painful seeing a screwdriver being used to open the trunk. Sorry guys. Thank you for a great video.
They should be able to pick up a set of jiggler keys and bump the locks without much difficulty on an old car like this.
@@bwofficial1776 They could pickup some of the lock picks sold by "The Lock Picking Lawyer" here on CZcams.
I was literally coming to find a comment about that! I agree it was so painful to watch 😰😰
@@raymonddamico418manufacturers and their dealerships only have that information on hand for a certain amount of time and that car is way beyond the time they keep it as I believe with Ford it is 25 years..
Theres never anything in the trunk
Car looks like it was on a episode of The Last of Us 😂😂
That is a pre-1983 Crown Vic with the 5.0/302 and the CFI fuel injection system. You guys did a nice job on this old girl.
If it is pre-1983 it could have a 4.2 liter (255 cid) V-8.
I had one exactly like this as a company car, same color, pinstripes, interior. Only difference was a maroon vinyl half- top. Most likely a 302 V-8. We traded company cars in every 55,000 miles - in this case 10 months - we drove the heck out of them.
Remember seeing an 8-month-old Volvo for sale once. Had somewhere around 90,000 miles on the odometer. I'm surprised they had time to stop for oil changes, tbh.
What year us this?????
@@Pakman0812 I am guessing an '80 or '81
It looks like a 82 model going by the grill I had a eighty five like that a two door and several four doors.. they are bad to loose oil pressure and lock up..I love the style of them always did they are almost extinct anymore and yes sir love to hear you guys talking.
I'd love to see you guys show more of the polishing process. Keep up the good work. Crazy transformation
I love seeing old cars get the love they deserve! I own a 15 year old car and she has never given me any trouble, i've owned it it's whole life and hope i'll spend many more with it! Great job boys!!!!
Great video this week guys. Definitely enjoying the interaction between the three of you, makes the video feel more personal.
Will definitely check out the progress on this car as the owner works on it. That Crown Vic has a lot of potential for some cool customization.
Underneath all that nastiness is a beautiful ride waiting to come out.
Stay exactly as you are, the banter between you guys makes the channel really enjoyable 👍🏻😃
I am team talking. You guys seem to have so much fun together while you work. It definitely makes it more fun to watch when there is more conversation and pulling jokes with each other.
Love the detailing and love the banter between you guys even more. Please keep the great videos coming!
I like the content of todays video. Detail info and a little banter is good. You guys do some amazing work on some pretty badly aged vehicles. The other comment about the engine should be correct. It should be a 302. A modest horse power version based on the year model. Too bad about the other commenters having to replace a seal at 60k miles. 302’s are generally just about bullet proof. Keep up the good work.
The 302 had low HP by today's standards, but the torque was decent.
I really enjoy the good humor amongst you all and of course the detailing. Well done John. (Melbourne Australia)
More explanations and just you guys joking around while you're working always makes for good entertainment ! 👍
I like the banter between the three of you. Brings your personalities into the videos.
Love the “banter” keep it up!! 👍😄
This car is a real gem.
Love the interaction between you both...funny stuff. ALSO...BEFORE AND AFTER AS YOU MOVE FORWARD WITH THE DETAILS. WELL DONE ALL THE WAY AROUND
Love the banter mixed in. You guys have personality for sure.
Keep this format. Your comradier banter etc is fun.
Great videos, Ford really liked that plush fluffy carpet thanks for bringing us along on your adventures
Your channel has grown so well! I look forward to your videos. Great uploads!
Yes! I for one absolutely enjoy when you guys are talking and just being yourselves on camera :)
I love the in-video banter.
You guys literally made a CZcams channel about polishing turds. Its awesomely satisfying!
big fan of the Ford Crown Vic and the Mecury Grand Marquis, both lovely cars
When I saw you guys punch out the rear trunk lock, my heart sank. The future for this car does not portend to be a happy one.
The Crown Victoria of the 80's was a good car, except for the 302 cu in engine. I had to replace the rear oil seal at 60,000 miles.
You guys are doing a top notch job visually and verbally while doing your videos. A pleasure watching.
Over all the 302 is a reliable engine
Should be a 302 2 barrel or variable Venturi carb
@@dansgmc well I had good luck with my 302 in my f150 still running strong
302 was one of the best ever engines. Good to replace timing set though with steel double row
@@warrenwinslow4266 that's what I replaced my new timing chain with the steel one
try using household Comet ! on the. black mold mix with water and use a soft brush. love the vids keep up the good work !!
I was thinking that too.
I enjoy your banter! Keep talking and cleaning.
I have a 57 Ford 500 convertible, Used, comet cleanser, and a soft sponge and water to remove deep stains. Works great then wax.
The talking and the actual detailing is perfect. Don't change a thing. Keep up the great work. 👍
You did a terrific job on that Crown Victoria two-door the vinyl Roofing still needs to be replaced that's just a technicality it looks good compared to what it used to be
I liked the style of these square coupes. But not all that many were sold so they went away.
The banter is just fine. I like both kinds of videos.
That car looks really nice still for as how long it sat. You guys made it look like new. Great work id say
More banter. Love the way you guys joke around. More of RJ selling merch in those shorts😁
The before / after is really really impressive 🤩👍
Don't mind you guys talking..but I love watching you detail.
🎉 also a balance of conversation and detailing
The wastefulness of so many people is astounding.... Cars with so much comfort and quality abandoned like rubbish.... regrettable... Congratulations on the team's work, greetings!
That was a satisfying transformation!! Great job guys!
Aber der Besitzer hat es zerstört
You guys must keep the cleaning and banter together, it makes makes for good content and and so enjoyable to watch...
And so funny at times 😂🤣😂🤣
Team detailing. Some joking around can be fun but I have a passion for detailing and that is why I come to this page.
I like the detailing stuff but I also enjoy the interactions between all of the guys!
Mr. B. Here ! 👀😎👍☕️🍩. Rust is the big question, sitting close to the ground , one with out even looking at the brake system and fuel . Guys I have used house wash mold remover , a car in that state won’t hurt it ! Body paint guys will say not too , it works and will give you a very good picture of what you are working with . Good luck on clean !
Ford came out with the Crown Victoria (on the Panther platform, not the 1955 Crown Victoria) in 1980 replacing the LTD Landau. That car appears to be a 1982. (Look at the grille. Ford used that grille on the 1979-82 LTDs with four headlights. I know, I had one. They also made one with 2 headlights that was a cheaper model.) 1982 is the first year they used the Ford Blue Oval with that style grille. If you look closely at 11:28 the fender badging says "automatic overdrive." It does NOT say "Electronic Fuel Injection" like the 1983 and later Crown Vics did. I can't see under the air cleaner, but, if the intake manifold has a valley pan it is NOT a 5.0 liter (302 c.i.d.) engine. It is a 4.2 liter (255 c.i.d.) which is likely what that car has. Also, unless someone has changed the carburetor, it has a Motorcraft 7200 VV (variable-venturi) carburetor. (I changed many of those rubber diaphragms when they went bad.) IIRC that car with the AOD transmission got really good gas mileage. Those taillights look to be from a 1983+ car. So, the grille might have been changed. The wheels are 14" and in 1984 15 " was optional. If you look over behind the Duraspark electronic ignition box on the fender is the engine computer. So, it appears to be an '82. Maybe it was wrecked in the back. Great video!
Not sure of the year, but my older sister had this same car and same color when I was younger. The thing that stood out to me on her car was the digital display for the radio and the 8-track player!
Good format!
Friends absolutely Should talk and harass!
Wow, what a transformation! Great job.
Yes! Talk away! You guys are funny and you seem like good friends. Your videos are a delight to start the day of with. Which is what I've been doing for a couple of weeks now. 😊
Love to hear the guys having a good time.
This car is more beauty than the news models.😂😂😂😂❤
Like the talking and the detailing. I really enjoy watching you guys.
I've been watching your channel for a while now and the content is enjoyable. I like the jokes, commentary and detailing.❤
Gotta have a laugh in the workplace, nothing wrong with that.😄
I don’t watch any other detailing channels, I like the story behind yours and can also relate to your story 🙏🏼👊🏼
Mike: I got a dollar! I got a dollar! I got a dollar Hey Hey Hey Heyyyy
Enjoy the dialogue! Enjoy it all! Whatever makes you guys happy will make us happy! Thanks Guys for sharing! Take care! Eddie
If I'm not mistaken you need to use heat to open the pores of the paint. When you do that you get access to the dirt inside the pain. Recommend seeing videos by AMMO NYC on this issue.
Awesome Transformation Guys!Happy Saturday everyone.
Each video you make simply amazes me ! I could only wish for such detailing for my 22 year old car !
It would be so cool if you guys showed a before and after pic of the vehicle just before you start the final walk around. You do such great work I always find myself going back to the beginning of the vid to remember how it looked when you started and then comparing to the end result
Wow this is one of your best videos ever great job guys! Yes keep adding the talking to the videos.
The banter is fun, keep it up! This channel is a lot of fun.
Love the banter, if you want to show more that would be great.
Nice going on the trunk, dude
The naration y'all are doing is quite great, keep it that way
What a Beautiful car...
Look at the interior...
good transformation...
White background for carpet cleaning works very nicely. … I think you have a good balance between talking/cleaning.
Finally! One of the best cars in the world gets it recognition that it deserves, and it starts with a beautiful detail 😁👏🏼🔥
Part of what makes your channel different from all the other detailing channels is the funny banter. Don't stop.
That's quite a nice 1982 Ford LTD, I alway preferred the 79-82 models over the 83-87 models.
Great video, guys! Lov e the channel.
That is a Panther platform Ford LTD Crown Vic. Most of them came with the 5.0 liter Windsor V8 out of the Mustang, rated at a fire-breathing 150hp.
As bad as the car was when you brought it in, it's pretty amazing how good it looks. Honestly, it looks about the same as any other Crown Vic from the era. Cheers!
I enjoy the bantering. You guys make me laugh. Good job!
My mom drove a 1985 Ford Crown Vic. I was driving it when someone crashed into me and threw me into a truck. The thing was a tank and the car and the seatbelt saved my life.
Great video guys. Enjoy your joking around. Great job on a rough looking Ford. Have a great day.
More talking, more interviews, more context. Just discovered your channel. big fan already. Keep up the great work.
I’m curious to know what makes the new owner think he will sell this car for big bucks. These exact cars in perfect condition sell for under $10-12k. Great video guys! Keep the talking in👍👍👍
I really enjoy watching you guys 😊
We love seeing you talk!
Super Video Thank you Happy Weekend for you 😚😍🥰👍👌🤟
Just my opinion of course, but this is th best video blend/edit of music/working sounds/speed/variation/talking etc. I really love this channel for the work that you do. like the asides and clowning too! Great job guys.....video AND presentation. Keep up the great work!.
Mike.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great videos guys you do a fantastic job on theses cars!!!
That body is in GREAT shape for having been out there for 30 years.
More detailing than banter, but some banter is fun. After watching so many of your videos, I’m hoping owners of cars that are just rotting away somewhere will be inspired to sell/give them to someone who wants to take care of them. Interesting how nostalgia can kill some of these cars, i.e. hanging on to a vehicle because it was a relatives car but then letting it rot to pieces. Just set the vehicle free so others can enjoy it.
I enjoy the commentary dollar very funny
Seeing you guys having fun is great, Dont mind the chit chat at all.
I love when you guys talk in the videos!
Glad another one was saved from the car crusher. The 2 Dr body was rare to find.
I have seen all your videos!!! You are the best!!! Bye from Italy!!!!
Love this transformation!! We seen kiss in St. Louis this past week!!
Loved the video. Before the detail the car was worth a penny a pound. After the detail the car is worth a penny a pound. Hate to see someone sink a lot of money into this. Keep up the great work!
I love this video! When I was younger I wanted to be a car restorer!
They had 302's and 351 Cleaveland or Windsor's. If dude thinks he's gonna make bank off it, that's highly unlikely. There's people out there who like those cars, but their not really desirable.
Suggestion for the future, my dad & I have used a mild solution of hydrochloric acid on various places on vehicles before (even on paint) with success.
I've just recently discovered this channel. Lovin it! I have a '22 Outback & I'm learning how to care mine with more care than before.
I love the talking and the detailing both
