THANK YOU for mentioning how does use these! Everyone EVERYONE excludes doe usage and for those of us hunting management (required to shoot a doe before each buck) get no help with most CZcamsrs. Practically no info out there for me to learn from. I can find bucks now without much trouble but I only see does when they’re running away from me while I walk in.

Literally the best examples I’ve seen on CZcams yet. Thankyou and what happens when you have a rising thermal on a hillside (with less pronounced drainages) that runs N&S
With a west or NW wind where the thermals reach the top where it starts to flatten out. I would think with strong thermals coming up the E side meeting the wind coming up and over the top would cause your scent to drop down the opposite hillside where the thermals may still be dropping??

    Shane you are the man.
This is the piece of the puzzle that I've been missing and as an Alabama public land(Bankhead)hunter myself I can't wait to implement your tried and true methods.
    MUCH RESPECT brotha...

Would love more of this content. I've always hunted leeward to the ridge system, such as the SW wind in your last example. I've never thought about sending a hunt with a North wind in a scenario such as that. Great video!

Awesome thank you! A SW wind would not give the buck much incentive to scent check that thermal hub. Mature bucks are so multi layered with their actions you really have to be unconventional sometimes to get them especially getting them into bow range in the mountains.

Shane I hunt alabama and have noticed several bucks laid up or using the top of draws with the wind in their face coming up the draw instead of traditional wind over the back.

So question. Would the South facing slopes react differently to the north facing slopes and hubs that get the eddies? Could 2 different tactics or plans be used on each side of the Creek bottom?
    Great video man

Do you notice the bucks switching bedding based on the wind that day? in your example if the bucks switched sides they would get that zone to move in when the wind is out of the SW.

I call those headers and what I've found is bucks would cruise that heavy cover edge AFTER the thermal shift (typically 900 AM or so) I'd set up just above the edge? So are you saying you'd set up down below?

No I’d set up above or on the edge of that hot zone with the N wind. A SW wind would make me select a totally different approach.
