You do not know if her intention is to be masculine and/or gain male validation when she says she dislikes makeup (also reminder that most men are attracted to femininity, femine women, and not masculinity, just like most women are attracted to masculine men.) So if that is her attempt at "pick me" as you seem to think, then she very well may fail and not be picked. Similarly, no one can know for sure if you or others are truthful when saying you wear makeup "for you" or "because it's fun" etc. So bottom line is this: men pick attractive women, and women who wear makeup are (usually) made to look more attractive by wearing it. Therefore, women who wear makeup are the pick me because they are more likely to be picked due to their action of wearing makeup. And unless your goal is to be celibate for life, not have a relationship(s), then is being a 'pick me' all that bad? After all, 'pick me's get picked.

Coming from a girl who hated makeup as a child, but who actually wears it now. I didn't like to wear it cuz I didn't like how it felt on my face. But I wear it now cuz I got used to the feeling and I think it can be a fun way to have fun with your face and even highlight your natural features. Now, I don't wear it every day. But on certain days where I need a confidence boost, it can really help. It's all about what you wear it for. Do you wear it for outside validation, or for yourself?
I agree! And people saying that you should just learn to love your bare face, a lot of women who do love their bare faces wear makeup. Because getting dressed up and fancy is fun. Yeah I could wear a t-shirt and sweats to go shopping, or I could make a cute outfit and feel good while going on errands. It's for myself not others, and I think that's something these types of people forget.
