Being married for that long takes doing HARD things, a lot of a patience, forgiveness, love, understanding and even proper communication. But when things get tough, a lot of people just break up or get divorced, primarily because they let their egos trump their logic, and can’t ever swallow their pride. Relationships take a lot of self-awareness and accountability, that people don’t want to accept. I’ve been with the same guy for 14 years (married for 13) and we were friend for a couple years prior. And I’ve learned soo much about what among a relationship works, takes.
