    I would definitely be interested in how to do the split tail you mentioned at the end.

    Another great tutorial! I learned so much stuff that I missed watching your videos! Keep it up! I really need to catch up on your Patreon, I've been a little distracted!

      I think that's life for everyone, lots of distractions. I'm the same for sure. Really happy the tutorials are still helpful for someone experienced 😁

    I watched such tutorials before. It's a quick and easy way to add ornaments. Plop in a squiggly, some radii, twists, and an interesting profile and you're done. This is a trap! The world of ornaments is deeper and richer than that

    • @ArtisansofVaul
      @ArtisansofVaul  Před 6 měsíci

      Oh I totally agree, that's why I deliberately didn't mention detailed ornaments with complex profiles. You can do a lot with these tools in Blender but certain elements just don't work, especially things like the rounded ends of a lot of the ornamental work you find. But for pointed ends it can work fine.

      @@ArtisansofVaul well, thats your way of seeing it. Personally, its one of the most.... recognizible I guess things about your style (like the red colour) even if its unintentional but am only a few vids in lol. But I dont mean to be objectifying you into a brand or style, its just something I noticed:)

    • @ArtisansofVaul
      @ArtisansofVaul  Před 6 měsíci

      @ez9566 😁😁😁Thanks 👍🏻 I agree on the red colouring as a lot of people when I once suggested changing colours were quite vocally against changing as they said it helped recognising the content. I hadn't ever thought of the speech "choices" being part of it but that's awesome to hear 😁

      Yeah. I'd like to be able to do it as an absolute distance. Probably doable with geonodes

    7:54 Scroll down in the curve settings and under active spline turn off the Smooth option.
