A perfect video! To the point, informative, and even showed how to use the balancing stand to balance a wheel. I'm going to have to knock one of these up, I change my own tires but often neglect to balance them.
Really enjoying watching your videos mate - you have an excellent way of explaining things that’s to the point and easy to follow. Keep up the great work.
looks like the dot is opposite of valve stem (the dot being the lightest spot on tire) so if moved to valve stem area it might not need any weights (if what I see ,is the dot)
A good tip is to balance the wheel before you put the tyre on . This will give you the true heaviest part of your wheel . Which is mostly your valve but not always depending on the style of valve used . This might also help cut down the added weight needed
Hi Dan.....I bought a factory made balancer a few weeks ago. you needed 60grams.....did you stick 30gram all on one side or spread the 60gram between both sides. My balancer has cones.....done seem to have been machined perfectly....bit of a wobble in them....I have no idea if that will matter....what do you think.
Correct. Split the weight and put either side of the rim. Hmm should be ok as long as the wheel spins free and that wobble doesn't interfere where it stops
Why pay when you can spend a bunch of time and not as much money on it 😂 Just kidding good idea, I’m looking for inspiration for my one stand because I don’t have $200 to buy a fancy one, but I can make one that works well enough for my needs. Good video!

Really good, I'm going straight to the garage to do it!
Outstanding, what a great helpful tool.
Cheers Dino!

You are correct! I was thinking the dot was the heavy point hence why it is opposite the valve! Good spot thanks for that.
Smart work!
