I was just thinking I have not seen a Pete Kanaris video for a while. Nice update! Pound dirt. Building soil is what it is all about.
Pete can pound dirt like nobody has ever seen before. 😁
👊
Pete, just wanted to say thanks, and never stop what you do, I'm on year 3.5 of my 100% food forest and mulch backyard in the AZ valley, inspired by your installs. So far, so good! Got a few couple year old specimens in the ground I got from you too (scarlet jabo, guaburiti, cherry of the rio grande, sugarloaf pineapple).
Forgot the 'world's best' mulberry too
Haven't seen your own backyard for a while now. Would love an update.
From Bangalore india.. You have been an inspiration for us with the detailed videos.. we started with a small Miyawaki Forest then a banana circle . Small steps.. but lot of learning and happiness.. thank you so much
As a " mower guy " myself i appreciate you keeping them in mind when you draw up your designs... also whats your favorite privacy clumping bamboo that does well in zone 9a , im in crystal river and need some
Thank you I see you video and you are my inspiration .can't wait to visit your nursery.
Man I miss and love these videos
Many more coming!
Would love to see how an area looks when cow pea is growing.
Wow! What a list
Nice update Pete
Nice to see a new video from you 🙂 I can't wait for spring to come for my dormand garden -I wish I could grow some of these tropical trees you have.
Having my own garden since a year opend my eyes how difficult garden design can be, especially if two people have very different inner pictures of what a paradise garden should look like. 😅🌻🍓🐝🦎🍎🍇🌱🐛🦋🐞🍒
I wish you all the best and I hope you could find a path forward with the struggles you had with your new property 🤞
It allways makes me happy to hear from you and it is good to know that we are all together still pounding dirt 👊 🌱😁
Thank you! So cool you have your own garden experience now! 👊 🌱
This is so awesome
Great video… thank you for sharing
Thanks for watching!!
So many great varieties of trees!
That's going to be beautiful!
Looking amazing as always buddy!! 😍
Thank you!! 👊
Very nice.
As always, a terrific video, Pete ! Nice tropical set up ! And I Love all the difficult lush palm species you can grow in the SE. I have several varieties here in Metro Phx--I was one of the first to plant Bismarkia Nobilis (which I believe I saw here as well !) roughly ~23+ yrs ago ! 2 of those small palms are HUGE today---35 ft or more in reach !😁😁🤗
Glad you enjoyed it! Wow very cool! 🌴
@@PeteKanarisGreenDreamsFL I always enjoy your videos & content, Pete ! Keep them coming. Still have that Peanut Butter tree from You out here ! Probably 6-7 YO...still hasn't fruited...but flowers every yr & I think it will soon🤗👊
Yoo hype for this. Great video as always!
👊
I'm happy to see that you guys are saying busy building beautiful gardens. What are those sprinklers you're using in the backyard orchard?
💪🏽🍋😎
I heard you say that the citrus was for under the oak, this makes me curious. I thought citrus needed full sun. What is the reason for putting them under the oak? Love the bits of info you share.
Citrus has somewhat of a symbiotic relationship with the oaks. The oils in the oak trees help suppress the insect that causes citrus greening.
You would think with that sulfur in the water it would help with fungus
Is property zoned against?
Nice video question how far north have you seen breadfruit growing and producing fruit. I’ve seen trees in Jupiter but not mature trees. Breadfruit is a beautiful tree…
I would imagine that is about as far North they could produce
Wouldnt sulfer deter fungal issues ?
What about flooding with canal water? I am a new gardener on a canal below Tampa and I am on my third papaya. Many other trees have died it think because flooding.
Is it safe to say using a freshwater lake would give you similar issues with fungal on the leafs?
What do you recommend to your customers WRT Greening Disease and the citrus trees?
doing the neighbors dirty by planting bamboo next to their row of fruit trees. 😂
I am looking for a banana plant that produces the small bananas. I’ve heard people call them Thai banana but cannot find the plants for sale online. Any info is appreciated.
Check out our Online Store! We offer many types www.greendreamsfl.com/online-store
I'm from California, and never seen a coconut tree here. Mostly just palm trees. Is it illegal to grow that here in California? Florida is literally like California," when coming to growing tropical fruits". Only different in weather is Florida have them humidity but beautiful clear water.
Coconuts cannot tolerate the climate conditions in 99% percent of California. They require more humidity and regular warmth all year long. Several days below 50 degrees can kill the Coconut Palm
@@PeteKanarisGreenDreamsFL oooo I see.. thanks for the knowledge Pete🙌!! Always thought it was illegal or something, lol
Don't they have to worry about alligators in their backyard given that it is on the water?
Anywhere in FL that has a body of water probably has a gator(s) 😅
That is scary, will any type of a barrier be installed to prevent the alligators from entering their back yard?@@PeteKanarisGreenDreamsFL
Sorry, but given how much waterfront habitat is being lost right now, this is pure cringe. Native habitat does it better. Food forests aren't worth shit if all the native pollinators and wildlife die around us.
