There are numerous tiny insects that you can't see and also it could have bird poop on them even a tiny bit could cause serious problems. Bird poop is very dangerous, some major illnesses are passed like this

It's interesting, having lived in Connecticut most of my life and now Florida, we actually have less bug issues here in Florida. Back in CT we used to see slugs regularly (no snails from what I can recall), ants, and the worst one especially were ticks, which I probably had 4-5 of them get me growing up and through college. Mosquitos are an issue in both places. Down here though you do get the occasional fire ant hive which you have to knock out. They're mean little bastards. Didn't have to deal with those in CT

Im in Tennessee, dropped to 45 and tomatoes were not affected. Flowers didn’t drop, tomato plants grew 8 ft so far.

Why are you showing adding amendments that you don't know the long term results for? also you didn't show any ground prep. Most people don't have an edible nursery to plant in. Most have weeds to contend with too. Thanks for the info
