    This was another fun review to create and I hope it was helpful and entertaining. These review and videos take a long time to make and I’m only one person. Due to that, there may be a wait between videos. I hope you understand and thank you for your support as I continue with this passion project of mine! I’ll see you in the next video! Take care.

      Awesome review, thanks for the hard work! Was wondering if you knew about creating video chapters? You just put the timestamps (which you already have made) in the video description and it'll make them automatically. Makes it really easy to navigate videos without having to scroll down into comments!

    Man, I live in Brazil and I was strongly interested in buying this game. Your review just sold it to me! I spent the last two days watching ALL videos on this game and yours is by far simply the best, in english or portuguese!!
    Thank you for that and keep up this awesome work!!! Got yourself a new subscriber!

    Fun video and review! I don't yet own a LCG game, and I'm a huge fan of LOTR & The Hobbit franchises. Excellent advice on playing the game by learning the cards as a prequel to deck building. Of course, the art in this game is gorgeous!
    Just have to add, Aliens: Another Glorious Day In The Corps is brutal and intense, just like you described. You have to prepare yourself to feel stress--but, the victories are true victories!

      Quick story. When Aliens: Another Glorious Day in the Corps released, I had found it at my local game store. I was still fairly new to the hobby and the only thing that made me not buy it was the fact that I had to build the miniatures. Today, however, I feel much more confident and familiar enough with this hobby that having to build miniatures does not scare me anymore. The next time I find the game at a board game store, I will not make the same mistake.
      With that said, since you are a fan of LotR, I definitely recommend the LCG. Even if you only play the base game, strolling down Mirkwood Forest is awesome! Thanks for always bringing your thoughts into the conversation on many of the videos! It’s always fun to interact with you and others. Take care.

    There is only one book used to learn game. It says Learn to Play. The only con with the books is the Rules Reference does not have all keywords from all expansions, so players will have dozens of little rule slips. But LtP is super easy to read. Do not try to 'read' Tules Reference, it is to explain terms and questions not teach.

    • @SoloBoardGamingKnight
      @SoloBoardGamingKnight  Před 2 lety +4

      Your right, the Learn To Play was very easy to read. It teaches the game mechanics as well as provides detailed and well illustrated examples. The Rules Reference was very helpful when it came to action windows (which was very useful for me, personally).
      The reason I stated that I do not think it is beginner-friendly was mainly due to the intricacies of the rules (keywords, traits, action window, etc.). However, once you get a few games played, you begin to put things together rather easily. If this would’ve been the first board game I would’ve played, I don’t think it would’ve been easy for me to understand it.
      It was definitely helpful to have included the Rules Reference because it is highly necessary to completely learn how to play the game itself. I’m currently working on a video focusing entirely on rulebooks. I’ll will be including both the best and worst rulebooks I’ve experienced. Hopefully you’ll find it entertaining once it releases. Thanks for stopping by. Take care.

    Which expensions should new player get after "the revised" ?

      I’m fairly new to the game myself and I’m only familiar with everything that has been rereleased. However, I will definitely recommend “The Dark of Mirkwood.” The reason that I recommend it is because it adds additional scenarios that will add a lot of replay value to the game. From there I think you should add any heroes that interest you. Personally, I have enjoyed the “Elves of Lorien” pack very much. I hope this helps!

      You are correct. The clips I show off to give players an idea of how to play are not filmed during gameplay. Galadriel not being able to quest, attack or defend was overlooked by me during the filming of the clip. Honest mistake and thanks for letting me know!
