Fun fact, the Hawkins lab is actually a government-run laboratory. It's on the Emory University campus run by the Centers for Disease Control. They don't use it much anymore because they have the new CDC buildings 2 miles away.

I envy tge people who have a hard time believing that bullies can be this bad. Mine in middle school were worse.
Bullies were the worst in the 80s and early 90s. So often you had to punch them in the mouth yourself because no one else was going to do anything about it during those times. As for bullies being that bad ... there were some in my middle and high school that would absolutely give those bullies a run for their money in terms of cruelty. Luckily I was not often the object of their attention, but looking back on it, I wish I did more to help the kids who were.
same for the 90s but not as bad but still, and you still can! it’s called being vegan and an activist (:
@Cassxowary whats being a veagan got anything to do with bullying the solution is simply to teach your kids how to stand up for themselves and fight.
This excellent show has run for four seasons and this remains my favorite episode. Great video.

The good thing with how Jim Hopper works is that he always has a backup plan if the first one doesn't work out.
The bad thing is that his first plan almost never work and that his standard backup is to beat someone up. :D
I was pregnant with a baby boy when I first watched this show, back when it came out, and I think it definitely hits harder and in a different way when you're a mother - and especially when you have a son!
"#!$% my emotions" will be repeated over and over through this series. Laughter, tears, adoration, rage... a whole flux range of emotions through this show. The girls are bad asses, the boys are emotional.
There is nothing wrong with binge watching lol It's hard not to binge watch this show because they leave you on cliff hangers.

While its nice seeing someone who grew up in the 80s and can empathize with the kids, watch the show, I think moms or dads that can really empathize with the main adults are fun to watch too.

We say it that way in downstate New York (where I come from) too. "Wudder." When I lived briefly in the UK, it amused my friends there so much that they used to make me say that word over and over again.
Caleb McLaughlin, who plays Lucas, is from Putnam County, NY, just north of where I grew up.

13:00 I do not believe in violence... most of the time.
Bullies cannot be transformed back into decent people with violence, as they are most likely bullies because they have been taught that violence is how the world works.
But on the other hand, it is not the children being bullied to transform their bullies.
If adults fail to act, children being bullied are in my opinion justified to use any and all force required to stop the bullying.
It is not about revenge, it is about protection. Sometimes you need to use such an overwhelming violence that the bullying game is not worth it anymore for them.
I am sorry if this got a bit dark, but I have had to deal with this situation multiple times during my childhood, not just about me being bullied but other people around me, and sadly the solution has always been bloody, but effective.

Very sweet of you to be considerate but she reacted to this first season in February and March. So, she saw the season finale months ago by this point. Reactors don't actually watch things week-by-week, they pre-plan heavily. Weeks, even months in advance.
