Unfortunately Finns were 1st in suidicide statistics in Europe - now we are in the mid section.
Suicide mortality among young women under the age of 25 has even increased in ten years.
Suicide is a major cause of death in young people. In 2019, the proportion of suicides among young people aged 15-24 accounted for more than a third.

Sonata Arctica, nice! The singer and songwriter Tony Kakko is a friend of Tuomas of Nightwish, he has been there for Tuomas when he has gone through tough times. They have gone hiking together. I would say nature is very important to Finns. We have lots of forests
and 180 000 lakes and a couple of million saunas, many of them by a lake. When you go to a forest, or nature in general I guess, your blood pressure, stress level goes down. Sauna is also good for your health. I've heard there is a sauna boom in the US. A Finnish sauna manufacturer is just expanding it's production there.
Two baby swans hatched today near where I live, there are two more eggs in the nest. More to see tomorrow? You can go as close as 10 feet from the nest.
Helsinki Central Park which is more like a forest rather than man made park is a nice place to go to. It starts only a couple of miles from the city center. There is a fenced area for horses. There are usually about a dozen horses there. There are also small patches of land that lucky ones have rented from the city, where they can grow vegetables, berries, flowers...

As a long time huge fan of Sonata Arctica, I am glad you did the reaction on one of my most favourite songs. This song just lifted me up so many times I was down. The song is so well written, it is so deep in meaning. And I have had a chance to see them performed live so many times. Also if you ever get a chance, take a look at their songs like Replica or White Pearl Black Ocean, a bit older stuff than this one.

Thank you so much for your reaction! This song is a reason I'm here now. I actually had pretty much the exact same experience as you with being ready to commit suicide. I remember I had a playlist on Spotify playing that had just ended, and as Spotify does (or at least used to do), it started auto playing other songs. And this is the one that came on. It helped me realize that I DO have friends, that I DO have people who love me. One of the things I made myself believe was that if I had lost so much, why keep going? This song helped me realize, why should I kill myself? I was so sad because I lost so much, but if I took myself away from those who loved me, wouldn't that just put them in the same position I was? Life is indeed better alive. And you are correct, that is indeed the tree of life. Sonata Arctica is from Finland themselves. Thank you again for your reaction to this song! And everyone, go hug a loved one, tell them how important they are. ♥️

Great! you're reacting to Sonata. I've been a fan of this band since I've heard My Land for the first time like 20 years ago. They have some really dark songs. The Caleb saga is a must with them. Also known as Stalker saga is about a boy who was abused by his father and grow up to be a really disturbed man and falls in love with a girl, they gor married but she leaves him so he starts to go after her. The songs are distributed in many albums and not in order. If you are interested: Caleb - 'Till Death's Done Us Apart - The End Of This Chapter - Don't Say a Word - Juliet - The Last of the Lambs. Of course they have a lot of uplifting songs. Tony Kakko, the singer, is a good friend with Tuomas from Nightwish. They usually take walks toghether and talk about a lot of things and you can see that many times, lyrics of both bands are about similar subjects even when they may sound really diferent from each other. Another good songs from this band may be Replica, about a man who comes back from the war with PTSD, Sing in Silence about a girl adicted to drugs, Paid in Full about someone with low self esteem because a recent break up and how he starts the healing process and starts loving himself again, As If The World Wasn't Ending about the pressure someone can feel to do everything right and how people judge him when he's wrong and the importance of having someone to support you during the bad times. I know this is not a music reaction channel, I just got carried away by the emotion of seeing a Sonata Arctica reaction and this are all songs about real problems in life with deep beautiful lyrics.

@@corinna007 Yes it is. It's an alternative take from Juliet point of view. Some fans thinks it goes after the song Juliet, in some kind of afterlife/supernatural stuff. Others thinks it goes between TDDUA and The End Of This Chapter as it shows how much abusive and agresive Caleb becomes during their marriage. Tony confirmed this during an interview and it's also confirmed in the Talviyö page on the nuclear blast website.

He's said that "Piilevää Pimeää" in particular is really personal for him, and you can hear it in the song. It's really emotional and beautiful.

Thank you for your reaction! It's so important for your mental health to have friends. For people who struggled with addiction and suicidal thoughts (like I did) it's essential. Therapy and a 12 step group was important for my recovery, of course, but still having a dear friend who always listened to me and gave me hope in the middle of my depressive and dark moments was so... I don't have words to describe how important that was for me. I learned from my friend that we should always be ready to ask from our loved ones: "How's the heart?". How are you REALLY doing? So that's why I'm recommending you your next reaction song: How's the heart by Nightwish, acoustic version: czcams.com/video/yYtkPpFYzOo/video.html

Music has been a saving grace for me since childhood. I don't know where I would be without it. One song that has been really important to me is by another Finnish singer, JP Leppäluoto. It's called "World Lies Still". There's also a Finnish version called "Hiljaiset häät" (which means "Quiet wedding" or "Silent wedding"), and it's the only song that makes me cry almost every time, no matter which version. I think it's technically a love song, but for the last couple of years it has brought me a lot of comfort when anxiety and depression get me down. It would be nice to see a reaction, if you're okay with lyric videos or fan videos from concerts. 😅 And funnily enough, JP's first band was named Charon.

@@MentalAmanda that's an amazingly comforting thought....and thankyou....Luckily I regained my strength and through a very open minded professional found my escape...I know I'll never return to that dark place again..I now fight for mental health for the elderly over here n its amazing how difficult it is...How services close ranks and stonewall you if you criticise or complain...but we need to continue the fight...you have my support and best wishes n I for one will always be here...Thanks n keep fighting..."make your mark"

Hey Amanda, I think I found YOUR song. Check out "Rivers" from EPICA. czcams.com/video/3rW7Vpep3II/video.html - It is beyond beautiful. You will love the music, the songwriting and of course the message. It is magic! If Floor Jansen is the goddess and valkyrie, Simone is definitely the siren. Goosies and tears.

I'd really like to hear your perspective on this song: czcams.com/video/yht0WDdzGJM/video.html. It's called "Blessed Be", by a band named Spiritbox. They are Canadian, and fronted by a strong female singer. The video is quite something, as are the lyrics. There is a deeper meaning to the song more than just the video, and I believe it is something you will pick up on. Thanks!

It's time por another positive band.
One with the more positives messages and lyrics. LOVEBITES
    Check "RISING"
Failure or pride? The fear deep inside
Success doesn’t come with a few empty tries
Fortune and fame, seem easy to claim
But those who’ve succeeded defeated the pain
Why give up on a life that you love?
Play the game with no shame till the very end
RISE AGAIN - though you’re broken and scarred...
You can choose, not to lose, you can build it again!
DON’T LET GO - of what’s deep in your heart
You are free to fly, go and change your destiny!
Too late to change? The past will remain
But it’s up to you to decide on a name
Glory is not what miracles brought
The path you have taken will lead you the way
Why give up on a life that you love?
Play the game with no shame till the very end
LIVE AGAIN - with the vows in your heart
Even if you get lost in the darkest of nights
DON’T FORGET - that you’ve made it this far
Show your scars with pride and believe your history...
Sometimes we can’t see the light anywhere
Sometimes we don’t have our luck in the air
Almost like we’ve been left by ourselves
I’m alone, you’re alone, somewhere in the world
But open your arms, look up and you will see an endless blue sky
I believe, you believe, we will live out today
    So it leads to tomorrow!
RISE AGAIN - though you’re broken and scarred
You can choose, not to lose, you can build it again
DON’T LET GO - of what’s deep in your heart
You are free to fly, rise above your fate!
LIVE AGAIN - with the vows in your heart
Even if you get lost in the darkest of nights
DON’T FORGET - that you’ve made it this far
You are free to fly, go and change your destiny!

It's true we all face death one day.. Bt life doesn't stop there. Death is a check point, do you have the the ticket of life.
Trre of life is no tree of this world - but Jesus- That's why Adam and Eve were not allowed to eat from it when they fell to sin: to rebellion against life.
Connecting back to God, back to life, is the greatest quest of our life. To find that we are valuable. Valuable enough that God himself gave his life for us on the cross. Yeah, Jesus is also called Immanuel - God among us.
What if God was one of us? ... says one song. Yeah, wouldn't it be great?
Indeed - it's great indeed that's what Jesus is, still is. And he is just one prayer away from your heart, if you don't know him.
He's missing you, wants to be with us.
If you don't feel the need now, no urge - never mind. He'll there in your momnet of need. Just test him. CZcams has many witness stories of people from all walks of life, all religious and cultural backgrounds pretty much, telling Jesus helped in tehor hour of need. Just make the call - the phone number of God is Jesus.

I'm an athiest (left religion years ago) but I respect anyone and what they want to believe in 💖 I know I'm valuable. And I hope that if there is a God he is happy with the way I treat his creations and the life I live to serve.

@@MentalAmanda You have a good aim and intention. That is respectable. God is never against us doing real good to other people. He would like us to be perfect about it. It would be a good idea if we did good :) Just we're more like kids hugging a cat so hard it feels it needs to scratch its way to freedom. Then we cry and hate the cat - here add a sad smiley.
Yet he also knows we fall far short of that. at best our good deeds are still like a white shirt smudger dirt brown-grey, even pitch black at spots. So he doesn't demand the absolute from us - but instead gives us the pure white shirt, if we accept. Like parents who care for their kids.
You don't need a church to know that God lives: ycks in how many times we hop a house around on one leg and whivh directiomet other people's company and opinions help us not to get selfish and think we have all the answers ourself :) That's were the other church members are good.
Plus God loves family kind or relationship, not religious practices. He doesn't get ki
But God can prove himself to you on his own. After all, he' life itself - not some old dudw oon the cloud edge :)
Yet he cares about us deeply, so he doesn't want to leave us guessing. Like I think you wouldn't leave your kids guessing if you love them or not, but would lift them in your arms to hug them. You wouln¨t leave them hanging, to show you respect all habbits of child treatment in all the families
Yeah, not all the religions are the same. For God athesim is a religion too - he calls it witchcraft, Because in witchcraft people think they can manipulate the world to their liking - they try to coax the spirits agreeing on their own plans.
Well, God is life, so would life become, if life would agree to change based on the moods of us people? Some people would drop dead suddenly because another hated them, and wisjed them dead. Chaos that's in our heads, would unleash. Well, in media it's partly true: think od ´f all the monsters we have conjured in books and on screen.
Well, there are truely sinister things happening in this world. Like you know from school years already how mean kids can be in that age -let alone when the same hard heads get political power. The beating in the alley changes to nissile brandishing. This is also seen as religion by God. Or our worship of lust, or money --- so selfishness.
Sorry, tough topics ... but they are all in the mix. which is why a mere diplomacy that everyone can believe how they want just won't cut it. We need to have police, just to protect ourselves from some of the religious practices - sad smiley here.
The point of this is, it really needs to be the love that cares. If parents would always leave the kids to live how they choose, that would be neglecting - not love.
