- Sol and Seth have been up to this point renting the lot to which their Hardware Store is merely a tent., from Al Swearengen. They now wish to purchase the property so they can build a permanent building there.
Y'know, Seth's life in Deadwood would have been a lot easier if he had a sense of humor.
Its his biggest flaw. Hes angry, bad tempered and completely without a fuse.
It causes him so much problems and he knows it, I know it can appear as a flat and "bad" actor but once you know the character you realise how damn well acted Seth really is!
@@-Markus- And that is what makes him a great character. I am so sick of modern stick men and women with essentially no flaws, it is so boring, bland, and predictable. Not believing enough in yourself isn't a flaw, I'm looking at you modern Disney and Disney Marvel (literally the MUC Captain Marvel's story).
@@nerofl89 That movie from 5 years ago really got to you, huh?
@@bernardsoul5186 Ah yes, classic confession through projection. You project your negative obsession of people that don't like shit writing and even worse character development onto those that criticize such shit films and stories.
I always felt Raylan Givens was Seth with a sense of humor.
"I am stupedist when I'm trying to be funny." Truer words.
"Not a tone to get a deal done."
Pretty true as well.
“Not a tone to get a deal done.”
- I use this with my 2 year old all the time
Wild Bill and Seth instantly register Al as a murdering thief, but Wild Bill responds with subtle maneuvering and Seth with direct confrontation.
Bill is also older
@@dionruffin3996 They each possessed quality's the other didnt.
A+ comment and observation sir.
@@dionruffin3996Bill also had a sense of humor and patience. lol
Seth’s reaction is what happens when you roll a 1 and fail the charisma check.
I just finished rewatching the entire series and the movie, and I still can't stop clicking these fucking videos.
Also, Seth and Sol have this almost vaudeville thing, where they will come this close to stepping on each other's lines. I keep expecting them to break into song.
Seth goes to 100 so quick.
Put Al and Seth in the same room and someone is dying within the hour.
@@spinnact well they did, in the season 2 premiere.
one of them almost did.
@dutyaccountabilitymediaPerfect kind of business partners for living on the frontier.
Enemies with as much chemistry as Batman and the Joker. Love Deadwood so much.
"Who said that? Id like to ask him what he means..." greatest passive aggressive line ever
Olyphant was born for this role. Really well done.
@@davidkurman9873 wouldn't say it was that passive?
“Don’t tell me what the f*** I mean.” Greatest actively aggressive line ever
That's...not at all what passive aggressive means 😆🤣
@@calilyricist24 yes...it does. Explain to all us inferior intellects what it means genius, please Id like to know how this line isnt considered passive aggresive when it probably could be used as a perfect example in a dictionary. Here Ill save your expert mind the journey of googling: Passive-aggressive behavior is a pattern of indirectly expressing negative feelings instead of openly addressing them. ... For example, a passive-aggressive person might appear to agree - perhaps even enthusiastically - with another person's request.
I cant wait to hear how you wiggle out of this. Maybe you should think before you open your big mouth or use lame emojis to obnoxiously condescend.
I love how they're enemies but later become true allies.
Few videos of Sol Star posted. So well played and likable (even Trixie went for him) - an underappreciated character in the lexicon. And John Hawkes was amazing in Winter's Bone. Very soulful yet understated. That's why he might not stand out in a show with such colorful characters. And Sol is the least egocentric character in the show.
Well said, great comment. Sol is indeed a very underappreciated character, such a great guy.
He was easily the most stable, yet still formidable.
Sol was the smartest man in the room. When surrounded by cutthroats, be friendly and incredibly useful.
Winter's Bone reunites him with Garrett Dillahunt and I love that film. Jennifer Lawrence's best.
@@flightofthebumblebee9529 It is a special movie. Always happy to see Garret Dillahunt in anything. There's like this company of actors who do a lot of things together and the things they do tend to be special. I loved the series Justified and it had many of the same actors coming through. Amazing well-utilized talent.
Seth doesn't really have a 'dial' that goes from passive to aggressive. It's more of a 'switch'.
"What business of that is his"
Lol, for some reason that almost makes sense to me
NateM Bullock’s response makes me howl, hahaha
God Seth is such a maniac i love him
Sol's been called worse by better.
I’m stupidest when I try to be funny
Seth: "What? I was here. It was a joke."
When he was talkin about “greasing the union” who knew that’s what he meant!
I agree, Al Swearengen making his counter-offer to Bullock & Star is one of the greatest scenes in the series, and there is no clip of it online here. Another 'Best of Al' vid on here has the scene, then cuts short right when he's about to make the counter-offer, fuckin terrible editing on that one.
fucking cocksucking editing
Nobody better than Al Swearengen
Lol at fucking Swearengen thinking that's a good time to correct Seth's word order
Nice vid, man. But could you PLEASE upload that scene where Al and Seth are standing in the middle of the saloon, when Al says "Here's my counter-off to your counter-offer: go fuck yourself" :D That's my favourite scene of the whole series.
Tim and John were the hottest male partners in the wild west I can guarantee you that.
Ron Swanson has seen better days
do you feel the love!!!
Dont tell me what the fuck i mean.. haha
Don’t tell me what the fuck I mean!
you don't tell me what the fuck!
How much was the rent?
What does al say before nice to meet ya?
"Mine isn't, but nice to meet ya, son"
