That’s not what I felt. Hearst rising first, played his card too early. Al rising last meant he had the last say, plus walking away meant he won that exchange with Hearst speechless
- You ain't the center of the universe in another words? - Exactly - Dont that lead you to despair? The dialogue is so... genious, detailed, full of nuances.. beautiful and yet profane.... David Milch is the modern day Shakespeare.
Ian McShane is in the top 3 underrated actors of all times. Deadwood is a masterpiece painting wrapped in a profanity laced mud hole filled with whiskey.
I know you're begging for someone to ask who the other two are, but that won't be me. And its not beccause I ddon't care, I do. Just not about yopur fave 2 actors.
Interesting how Hearst is initially presented as a polished gentleman but as the story moves forward his true sociopathic nature is slowly revealed.. Deadwood is genius
It's my opinion that NYPD Blue was the finest cop show ever, and one of the greatest dramas ever made. So this show is a no brainers, and never disappoints. There aren't many who can write characters that you can both love and hate in secession or oddly at the same time. Mixing the profane, foolish, innocent, stupid, greedy, vulnerable, and desperate into every episode, in every scene, and sometimes in each person... Simply amazing.
@@lordoffaiyum9727 what's great is to watch the show with the english subtitles but i need to get the dvd....its all around better quality than watching on cable.
He drank 5 shots and finished off the bottle. I'd be shit-faced at that point. I wonder if they actually drink liquor on the show or if it's iced tea or water with brown food coloring or something else.
That amount of whiskey wouldn't have been anything to me in my 20s and 30s. Time has a way of catching up, though. And those dudes weren't in their 20s and 30s.
Al tells the egg-hatched individual, holding the antlers to "ready for blood" That's almost the same line he says in John wick 3 "prepare for war" parabelum
Violated one of Al’s firm principles that he will go to war over. You can’t kill people in The Gem without Al’s full approval
Hearst rises to his feet to assert dominance. Al remains seated to reconfirm his.
Didn’t help him the next time when Hearst was standing with a hammer…..
@@matthewriley7826 As bad as Al was, Hearst was really a cocksucker there.

beautifully written cougar.
Best written show ever

Bottle of whiskey in a few moments of truth. Never mess with man who has a CLEAR vision, and a stellar mindset.

Two great actors.............wonderful writing..............great camera work..........I consider Deadwood a masterpiece.

one of the greatest shows of all time- Brilliant writing.

+B1-66ER I think they'd be dead after a series if they drunk real liquor like that dude
It's a TV show set. They didn't drink alcohol while working.
did they drink this much back then? i would pass out lol
@@pdog109 They drank a lot back then, but alcohol tolerance, once developed, can make you seem like a superhuman drinker.
