First sucessfull 9 color print without reverse bowden on a 1m3 printer. I call it "probe and drouge". Obviously inspired by Jets being refilled mid air.
Having a super long bowden tube adds resistance from friction so with this setup it's alot easier on the extruder motor. Now with the happy hair software where you can run the ERCF in sync mode it won't matter as much

Love this idea - simplifies all the excess filament you'd normally have to cope with. Are their further details somewhere?
Ignore that comment - on reflection I realise it doesn't help at for the filament excess :-) I wasn't thinking clearly.
