- British Airways Boeing 767-300ER Flight Report + Edinburgh BA Lounge - Edinburgh to Heathrow.
Join me on board as I fly in a British Airways Boeing 767-300ER from Edinburgh (EDI) to London (LHR) for an international connection to Doha (I will be uploading a flight report for that flight shortly).
The flight begins in the Edinburgh British Airways Lounge (which I'm fortunate enough to have access to even though I was flying on economy because I have One World Emerald status (Qantas Platinum).
Over all, it was a pleasant flight. It left a little behind schedule but we made the time up during the flight and landed at Terminal 5 where I connected with an international flight.

FANTASTIC cant wait for more, Thank you for covering one we havent seen much on the internet, the RR 767
Thanks for watching!
Love seeing the old birds still up in the air.
Agreed. I purposely got a 767 for this reason. Qantas have retired all of their 767s so there no passenger ones flying in Australia any more (other than possibly Air NZ flying across the ditch).
Loved the review and the British Airways 767.
Thanks for watching!
well done, thoroughly enjoyable. Thanks for the experience.
Thanks mate
Excellent video, it's great to see the 767 operating on short flights like this! :) Liked a lot!
Thanks mate. The best thing about long-haul aircraft operating short flights is that they don't have to carry much fuel so the acceleration is more noticeable. I've just flown on BA125 and there's a short 30min leg between Bahrain and Doha (B777-200) and the takeoff was very short and fast.
The Frequent Flyer Yes, I can imaging that this is amazing! ;)
awesome footage !
Thanks mate.
Great footage - I love the timelapse after takeoff!
Thnx mate
I have done that flight in reverse, from Heathrow to Edinburgh. I had expected Edinburgh's airport to be far bigger, but apparently most of the bigger flights go via Glasgow.
Thank you for the film.
Thanks mate. I didn't actually realise this until recently, but Glasgow is bigger than Edinburgh even though the latter is the capital.
Very nice. Well done!
Thanks for watching!
Great vid...excellent editing!
Thanks friend!
Excellent video
Thanks friend!
Awesome trip report! Liked!
Thanks mate
Excellent Video
Thanks!
Great video!
Thanks
Wow, you had to walk out in the weather :) Very nice aircraft. Very busy with my last flight on Friday 19th Jan 2018 due to strikes in Italy and flight cancellations.
brilliant video! I have yet to travel on a widebody operating short domestic routes, would really want to try it some day! subscribed!
Thnx mate!
Good video i love british airways
Thanks mate - more coming soon! :)
Gabriel Riveros it was a good video but BA sux
Nice ! I flew to EDI on the 20th and tomorrow back to Switzerland. Like your report, cheers !
Thanks for watching! The weather was pretty good when I was in EDI so hopefully that continued for you!
The Frequent Flyer Not really ^^ but that's the UK
awesome
Thanks for watching!
Awesome video!
Thanks for watching friend! Don't forget to subscribe as there's more coming! BA 777 First should be uploaded in the next 1-2 days, then QR A350 a few days after that. :)
I am subscribed already :-)
Thanks! :)
Great TR!
Thanks!
I didn't know they use 767's on that route! Nice vid!
I figure they're phasing them out so I was keen to fly the 767.
Yeah. They're pretty old!
nice trip
Thanks mate
I flew on this aircraft from Glasgow to Alicante on a charter flight for Thomson it was a very smooth and comfortable aircraft!
Yep it's a nice bird. I suspect BA would be looking at selling it in the near future, though.
e é uma jato com pouco mais de 35 Anos de Vida o 767 ; Mais é Minha paixão também kkk
parabéns pelo Vídeo.
I did that flight in October on an airbus in October. I liked the lounge in Edinburgh. I do like Edinburgh.
It's a fascinating city! I already miss it! :) I visited the UK for the first time earlier this year and love the experience and am currently looking for award flights back for next year.
Paul Stewart I'm going to try and get on the inaugural 787 from Perth to London
Enjoy! I'm hoping to get on a test run (between SYD-MEL-BNE or trans-Tasman).
good video
Thanks mate!
+The Frequent Flyer your welcome
This is so funny! I'll be flying BA to Heathrow, and then Heathrow to Doha just like you lol! I'll be flying on Qatar airways from Heathrow, Business class A380😎
Enjoy! You didn't consider flying directly from Edinburgh to Doha? QR fly a 787-8 on that route.
Paul Stewart I did consider it, but I prefer the A380 for long haul flights. The 787 is beautiful though, but too small for me personally on long hauls.
Fair enough. I love the 787 but there's no doubt that the A380 is a comfortable aircraft to fly in. They're so smooth and quiet! Let us know how your flights are! :)
Nice video! It's sad to think that the 767s are being fazed out as they're big comfy aircraft.
Thanks
took a BA 763 from shannon airport to london heathrow once, I was stranded there as LHR was shut down for heavy snow.
What ended up happening? I hope BA looked after you.
Yes they did! They took us to a place called Ennis in Co. Clare so I got to know a bit of Ireland for three days.
Really like Dreamliner vids any more coming
Thanks mate - another 787 video coming in December.
Great vid! Do u have any Singapore airlines flights coming? Or have u been on SQ?
Thanks mate. Sadly not upcoming videos as I usually fly with OneWorld airlines (since i've got emerald status with them). I've flown SQ once a few years ago (SYD-SIN-DAC and DAC-SIN-SYD) in Y (A388 and A333) and they were pretty good.
Great video. It's a large plane for a short route! Is this service usually full?
Thanks mate. There seemed like a lot of empty seats to me.
How is the ride on the 767 vs the 777 for BA ?
In what way? The flights were equally smooth.
The Frequent Flyer everything :)
Very nice video!
Great food for a 1h domestic flight. Was is due to your status or the normal meal?
as far as I know, it's given to everyone. I've flown LHR-ABZ in morning flights, they always served English breakfast
Thanks mate. No that was the standard meal. (well, I think it was) :)
Great upload. Did BA fly 767s to Nigeria if you know?
Thanks mate. No idea about Nigeria I'm afraid
Great Video! Do they serve food on all short haul flights? I'm flying the 767 in May from Heathrow to Rome so do you know if i would get food?
Thanks mate. No, BA don't serve food in Euro Traveller, which is pretty poor for a full service airline. I flew from LHR to FCO in October last year and there's definitely no food.
Paul Stewart oh man! Do they give snacks and drinks or nothing??
Nah. It's really quite crap, especially for a 3hr flight!!!
I spot my home carrier at 6:28! South African Airlines!
Good spot! :) Did you see the Concorde? Just as the aircraft lands you can see it parked behind the wing. I've flown with SAA once before - between JNB and Durban from memory. It was a pleasant flight.
+The Frequent Flyer oh cool yeah! They do jnb to dnb on 737s and a320s now.
It was an A320 from memory.
Was this business class of it is its not very good as what you would expect from BA
BTW great video
Thanks Rory. No it was economy (Euro Traveller)
Paul I suggest you do a european airline like easyJet or something on them lines.
Hi mate, I tend to stick with One World airlines because I've got a few benefits if I fly with them. I'll be doing London-Rome next year and am currently planning on flying with BA, and then Rome down to Cairo (probably) with Royal Jordanian.
Oh okay, that's fine. You should check out a place called Malta :) Its lovely their at summer thoe of course.
How different the engines look on BA's 767s compared to others
Hi Darrell, what do you mean? The engines look the same as on other airlines 767s with RR engines.
Is all British airways flights to London from Edinburgh now 767??
I don't believe so. I believe there was an A320 that left for London before my flight.
Why do ba use an big aeroplane for such an short flight?
True, but Edinburgh and London are two major centres.
Where is the breakfast??
Did BA every fly their 767's to the U.S.?
I think they probably did but I'm not certain. Someone else could possibly answer your question?
Justin Hopkins Yes they did! A friend of me was on board the BA 767-300ER from LHR to Baltimore.. He also got an flight report of this on his YT channel "HAJ Jakob"
How long is the flight
About an hour.
Can you do more quants flights? or emirates
Hi Michael, not for a while I'm afraid. Possible EK or QF to Queenstown later in the year but otherwise nothing is planned. I've got Qatar, Air Berlin, Siberian and JAL coming up over the next few weeks, though. :)
Okay! keep the vids comin.
Thanks Michael. Don't forget to like, share and subscribe and I'll keep them coming! :)
It's actually a B767-400. The extra entrance door in the forward fuselage proves this. Otherwise great video!
Really? Flightradar told me a -300. I'll have to look into that. Thanks for watching.
I'm sorry, my bad, just looked at the info of the same aircraft. It's a B767-336. Which is a custom -300.
No worries. :)
Which class
Economy class, although I suspect they may have been business class seats (as it was a long-haul 767-300ER that flew to Turkey the day before my flight).
BZHC flew me from rome to heathrow
I hope you had an enjoyable time in Rome! I hope to visit there next year as I imagine it'll be a fascinating city!
+The Frequent Flyer It is an incredible city. I have never seen anything like it. It is a roman city that is almost unchanged to how it was 2000 years ago. Make sure to eat some ice cream 🙂
I think that your interested to put that song because you know "the pilot channel"(KLM Boeing 747) next time go on a KLM Boeing 747 plane
ok
So Edinburgh to London is shorter than Perth to Kalgoorlie
I couldn't tell you to be honest.
Paul Stewart 535km you said
Perth to Kalgoorlie is 603km
Why don't 767 do long flights??
There aging. There being relegated to Trans Atlantic and Domestic routes already or inter nation flying in the Pacific.
Yeah, BA have quite a few newer aircraft that are a lot more comfortable to fly in. I note that my aircraft flew to Istanbul the day before my flight so it's still do a few medium-haul flights.
Thats not a 767 300
What is it then?
767 400 they have 8 emergency exits in a formation of an a321 while 300 has the same but like an a320 😁
Paul Stewart oh i sau the other comment and apparently it's 'customised' lol 😂😂
what i missed was the flight over London and the comment welcome to London
The music was disturbing
That's why i pressed thumbs down
Fair enough.
Decent video let down by the appalling music.Eeek,I feel sick.
I dont like 767
Fair enough. You'll be happy to hear that they're phasing them out.
The Frequent Flyer :)
The 767 is my favourite plane that I've flown on out of 737, 757, 767, A300, A319, A320, A321 and A380
Great video!
Thanks
